Everyone found out that Zelena had been behind casting the third curse. Now they were trying to find out how to break it and defeat her. Regina tried to stop Zelena from hurting Henry, but the witch used her magic to throw Regina and knock her out. Henry was able to get away and Zelena disappeared. Emma rushed to her mother, "mom," she gently shook the woman. "Mom!" each time, Emma shook Regina a bit harder. Eventually, Regina woke up, "thank God."
"Emma," Regina said softly still a bit dazed, "are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Emma answered.
"Henry?"
"He's fine, mom." Emma noticed her mother starting to close her eyes, "mom! Don't go to sleep."
"Emma, I don't think I'm going to fall asleep. I hit my head pretty hard."
"You're going to be alright." Emma leaned down and kissed her mother's forehead, breaking the curse.
David and Snow helped Emma get Regina to her feet.
Henry walked over and gently hugged the woman, "don't give up, nana."
"You remember me?"
"I do now. I'm sorry about before."
"That wasn't your fault."
"Mom, I'm going to take you to get checked out to be safe."
"Okay," Regina said. She didn't move, "Emma," her voice sound panicky.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know. I'm having trouble getting my legs to move."
David lifted Regina and carried her to the truck. He wanted Emma to take Regina that way so she wouldn't be cramped in Emma's bug. After arriving at the hospital, Henry went inside to get a wheelchair and Emma helped her mother into it. Blue showed up and healed the damage that the recent blow to Regina's head had caused. That way she could move her legs easily again. Emma took her mother home to rest.
Three days later, Snow went into labor. Just after giving birth to her son, Zelena took him. Regina, Emma, David, Robin, and Hook had gone to fight the witch and Rumple. Turns out Zelena had taken his dagger. Regina was the one who stopped Zelena in the end. Snow and David named their son Neal after Henry's father who had been killed recently by Zelena. Robin took Emma aside after the name was announced. "I was wondering if you had a moment?"
"Sure, what's up?"
"I'm aware that we haven't known each other for very long, but I hope you realize how much I love your mother."
Emma smiled, "I do. She's never been happier. Thank you for that."
"Well, I was wondering if I could get your blessing to propose to her?"
"Seriously?" Emma asked with a shocked look on her face. Robin had a nervous expression and nodded his head. Emma's facial expression transformed into one of joy, "of course you have my blessing." The sheriff hugged Robin, "this is so exciting."
"For a moment I thought you were going to say 'no'."
"I was just surprised. This is all still new to me, but I'm so excited for you guys. Oh, I get another brother."
Robin chuckled, "yep and he's already in love with you."
Emma was so excited, but she was hoping Robin would propose sooner rather than later. She wasn't sure how long she could keep this a secret.
That night, Robin dropped Roland off at the loft. He and Regina were going to have dinner at her house. Cora went over to hang out at the loft so the two could have privacy. "I brought a bag in case I had to get a room at Granny's tonight," Cora said.
"I would just get one anyway," Emma said.
"Why?"
Everyone stared at Emma, "I guess it's alright to say something. Robin is taking a big step tonight."
Henry and David's jaws dropped. Snow and Cora gasped. "He said he was doing it tonight," Roland revealed.
"I can't believe this," Snow said excitedly.
"He asked for my blessing," Emma said.
"Awe," Cora and Snow said.
Everyone hung out and waited to hear from Regina. They were hoping to hear from her that night. Sure enough, she called Emma and told her to put her on speakerphone, "I would have come to you, but that would exhaust me. Anyway, I sent Emma a picture."
Emma pulled up the picture that showed her mother's hand with an engagement ring. Everyone squealed or cheered in excitement. They all congratulated the couple and Regina asked Emma to take her off speakerphone, "what's up?" Emma asked.
"Robin said you enthusiastically gave him your blessing when he asked you."
"Of course I did. I want you to be happy and with your soul mate."
"Thank you, dear. That means a lot to me."
"I love you, mom."
"I love you too, Emma."
Three months later, Regina and Robin's wedding day had arrived. Emma walked into her mother's room, "you haven't started getting ready?!"
Regina looked at her daughter. Her face was stained from her tears. "I need help."
"Why didn't you just call me?"
"I've been thinking."
"About what? What's wrong?"
"I don't think I can marry Robin."
"What? Why?"
"Emma, look at me! The slightest bit of stress makes moving almost impossible."
"You really need to have physical therapy. Maybe you should even talk to Archie."
"Emma, he deserves better. Roland deserves better."
"Mom, did Robin know about your health struggles before he proposed?"
"Yes," Regina answered.
"Has he ever made you feel like an invalid or useless?"
"No," she answered.
"Does he make a big deal about it?"
"No," Regina whispered.
"He loves you and wouldn't have proposed if he didn't want to. I get that you're scared. You haven't been in a relationship since the curse. This is your time, your chance for happiness. Don't throw it away over fear."
"Will you help me get ready?"
Emma smiled, "of course I will." The sheriff helped her mother with her hair and makeup before helping her into her dress. "Wow, you look beautiful."
Regina smiled and felt her eyes begin to water, "thank you, dear."
Emma dried her eyes before her makeup could be ruined. "Are you ready?"
Regina sighed, "I really wanted to walk down the aisle without my cane."
"Then do it."
"Emma, I won't make it if I don't."
"I have an idea." Emma handed her mother her bouquet. The blonde offered her arm to her mother. Regina took it and smiled. When they reached the alter, Emma gave her mother a tight hug. Robin knew that Regina hadn't asked anyone to walk her down the aisle, so when he saw Emma, he had a feeling his bride needed help. Robin made sure to hold onto Regina throughout the ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding and there wasn't a dry eye in sight. Regina and Robin chuckled when they heard loud cheers as they kissed. It was certainly a day to remember.
