Emma had decided to go to the Underworld to save Hook. She wasn't happy that her mother was going. "You shouldn't be here," Emma said.

"Why not?" Regina asked a bit offended.

"Well, for starters, you're five months pregnant. Not to mention you're disabled."

That upset Regina, "I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."

Emma looked at her mother and just walked away. Robin stayed with his wife the entire time. "Where do you think Hook could be?" he asked her.

"Emma is being more hostile to me than she usually is when I do something like this."

"Well, this time you're pregnant."

"I don't think that's it."

"Regina, I really want to help you figure this out, but we only have so much time to find Hook."

"Let's try the library and see if we can find something or someone."

"Why don't we try the loft?"

"Okay," Regina said and the two were off.

When they walked in, Emma was there with the others, "where have you been?"

"On our way here," Regina sniped back.

"We just looked around a bit on our way," Robin lied.

"Mother, stay here while the rest of us go look."

"No," Regina said, "I'm not staying here because you have some issue with my being down here."

"I told you why I wasn't happy about this."

"I think you're keeping something from me."

"Fine, I not telling you everything," Emma left the loft followed by the others. Robin and Regina went in a different direction. Eventually, they all ended up back at the loft with Hook. Emma was furious at her mother, "what the hell? I told you to stay here."

"Emma, you don't tell me what to do. I am your mother."

"The hell you are!" Everyone was surprised by the comment and Regina was deeply hurt. "You are the person who stole me from my real parents. The person I became attached to only for you to leave me behind. Sick or not, you shouldn't have left. I know David asked you to come home with us and you declined his invitation. Then I sacrifice myself to save you from the darkness and the love of my life has to die to save me. Why is it that after every horrible thing you've done, you get your happily ever after and I lose mine?"

Regina was too choked up to say anything. Everyone felt terrible for her and that made her feel worse. "Emma," Snow walked up to her daughter, "let's go upstairs."

"No, not until she splits my heart to save Hook."

Emma walked up to her mother. Regina slowly raised her hand, but couldn't do it. Her hand was too shaky. "Mother," Regina called out emotionally.

Cora walked up and pulled her granddaughter away. She reached into Emma's chest and took her heart out, but she couldn't split it. Hook had been dead too long. "The only way he can go back is if someone takes his place," Cora told her granddaughter.

Emma turned and looked at Regina. It made the mayor's spine shiver. Hook took Emma's hand, "come on, love. Let's go for a walk." They left the loft and Robin helped his wife sit down.

"We'll have to find another way," David said.

"There isn't one," Cora said.

"She wants me to take his place," Regina mumbled.

"Well, you aren't going to," Snow said.

"If I weren't pregnant, then I wouldn't hesitate to."

"You'd really do that?" Robin asked a bit upset.

"Is there anything you wouldn't do to make Roland happy?"

"No, I guess there isn't."

In the end, everyone left without Hook. They didn't leave alone. Regina found Hades in her office. She and Robin went there to talk for a bit. Hades was sitting in Regina's chair with Zelena by his side. "What the hell are you two doing here?" Regina asked angrily.

"Careful, sis," Zelena said, "you wouldn't want to make yourself or the baby sick now, would you?"

"Besides, we're taking over Storybrooke," Hades said. "My first business as the new ruler is to rid the town of the old one."

"What?" Zelena asked in surprise.

Robin stepped in front of his wife and Hades pulled out a crystal, "that's okay. I'll kill you both."

"Wait," Zelena stopped him, "I need to do it. I want to do it."

Hades smiled and handed Zelena the crystal. "You deserve this."

Zelena looked at her sister and quickly plunged the crystal into Hades' chest. He was obliterated. Regina hugged her sister and thanked her.

Hook made it to Mount Olympus. He had made an effort to help stop Hades but adding the god's story to the book in the Underworld and sending it to Storybrooke. Zeus was impressed with that and Hook's sacrifice for Emma. The god had decided to reward Hook and soon.

After Hades was destroyed, Regina went to see her daughter. Emma was sitting in her bed when Regina walked into the bedroom.

"Emma, I've been wanting to talk to you since we got back, but Robin and I got detained. Hades made his way here, but Zelena destroyed him."

"What?"

"He was going to kill me and she stopped him."

"I'm glad you're alright," Emma told her mother.

"Thank you," Regina said.

"I really don't want to talk about it."

Regina tried to walk towards her daughter's bed but was having difficulty. Each month, she had more trouble moving. Her cane was pretty much useless at this point. "Emma," Regina sighed.

The sheriff looked up and saw the state her mother was in. She quickly stood and helped Regina to the bed. Emma even helped her mother place her legs on the bed. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, thank you. It's just bad because of how far along I am now."

"How did you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Go on after Daniel?"

"I wasn't given a choice. My mother controlled me back then and I had to go through with my marriage to Snow's father. Every day I felt a pain in my heart because my husband didn't love me the way he loved his first wife. The way Daniel loved me. I wasn't happy until I had you in my life. You gave me a reason to live. Luckily, you already have Henry. Hook would want you to go on and be happy. You don't have to date, but don't deny yourself the happiness he would want for you."

"I guess I should at least try."

Regina smiled, "that's my girl. Now, go away so I can take a nap."

Emma chuckled, "it's my bed and you don't live here."

"I don't care. I'm tired," she scoffed, "now, go and be quiet."

Emma tucked her mother in and kissed her cheek, "thanks, mom. I love you."

"I love you too, dear."

Regina fell asleep and Emma decided to think about their conversation. She knew her mother was right. She also knew that her mother understood that moving forward was easier said than done. It was going to take time and Regina knew that. Emma began to feel sad for her mother. The woman lived a very lonely and loveless life. Emma had all of these people who loved her. Regina had her father, who was killed to cast the curse. There was Daniel, who was killed by Cora in front of Regina so the young woman would have to marry the king. Then, Emma came along and Regina's health forced her to be away from her daughter. Regina was finally in a good place. There weren't many people in town who hated her anymore. She had a husband who was crazy about her, a daughter who loved her, a stepson who adored her, a grandson who wanted her, and a baby on the way who needed her.
