AN: We back with another chapter! Fun fact! This now has a cover! I make all of my stories covers myself so I don't get copy striked or anything! I know they aren't the best but I tried, I am not artistically gifted as some people are!

I have also decided that from now on I will be writing U.A. as just UA because it is easier to type and it makes google Docs stop trying to put the word 'the' in front of it. Also, I don't know if anybody really cares but I don't do any of those Japanese endings to people's names like -san. It's just too confusing for my little brain. I also don't put last names first. It's just how I do. People will still use the last names though! Just thought I would say that if anyone was curious.

I installed Grammarly and on my goodness does it work miracles! This chapter had so many grammar issues and so I did what I had to do to try and improve those little mistakes! Hopefully from now on my writing will have fewer mistakes in it! But if you see any, do tell me so I can fix it!

Anyway, onto the chapter! I lied about putting author notes at the bottom from now on. But I will try and keep them shorter!

Chapter 2

Izuku wished there was more he could do to get out of his restraints, but there really was nothing he could do with his arms and legs bound. He keeps a little pocket knife in his boots, but by using that to try and cut the glue he is risking cutting himself instead. That wouldn't be worth it in the long run.

He couldn't really undo the gag either, it was tied pretty tight and he can't raise his arms to remove it as they are bound behind his back. He already tried to bring his arms in front of him by pulling them down and over his legs, but some of the excess glue on his arms got stuck to his back, effectively gluing his arms to his back too. No way he was moving those anytime soon.

His legs were equally as useless. Bound at a crisscross near the ankles making it harder to stand on, not like he has room to stand, and leaving him only able to extend them in and out with them. God, he felt like a fish out of water when did that.

He could try banging on the walls and hope someone hears and lets him out. He listened for any noises indicating someone was outside. Nothing. No voices. No footsteps. Absolutely nothing. Great.

With most of his mobility cut off and nobody outside, that left him the last option he had. Wait two hours till the glue effect wears off. Not ideal but then again, it could always be worse. He might as well try to get some sleep with nothing better to do.

Running on about three to four hours of sleep a night takes its toll on someone. That's why he takes one night a week to get a full night's sleep. It doesn't always work out, but the effort is there. Sleeping on the floor of an abandoned building isn't exactly comfortable either. At least he had three years to get used to it. So falling asleep in the cargo hold of a bus wasn't as hard as one might think. Not for Izuku at least.

It took Izuku banging his head roughly on the floor of the bus to realize it was moving. His first instincts were to try and move his arms. Unfortunately, they were still stuck in place. Dang. He doesn't know how long has passed. It hasn't been two hours, that's for sure. Maybe when the bus stops he can try banging on the walls and hope the driver hears and lets him out.

He didn't have to wait too long for the bus to come to a stop. Twenty minutes at the most. When it did come to a stop he was able to hear multiple voices of people chatting with one another as they got off the bus. This was his chance! They won't be able to help with the glue situation but they can at least get the gag off him and let him out. The gag was starting to get uncomfortable. It was rubbing at the edges of his mouth and leaving his mouth awfully dry.

He wriggled his body into a semi-sitting position before he rammed his shoulder against the side. He added a few muffled heys just to try and draw attention to him. With the steady sound of banging and muffled shouts the chatter outside quieted down. Good, that means they heard him or will hear him.

When he went to ram his shoulder in the door again, to his surprise, he was met with no resistance and found himself free falling face-first into the ground. He let out an undignified 'omph' when he hit the ground. He heard shocked gasps in the background and people started to mutter amongst themselves again.

"Is that a kid!?"

"What was he doing in there?"

"Oh my god is that a gag?"

"Did someone tie up his limbs?"

Just what he needed! A lot of people watching him as he made a fool of himself. Maybe instead of standing there and gawking at him, a little help would be nice. He rolled to the side to give the people one of his best glares. It wasn't really intimidating for someone who's lying on the ground bound and gagged. Worry and pity crossed the people's faces. They were just students, he noted. It didn't make a difference to him for what was about to happen. He let a curse form on his lips. He already has enough pity in his life.

"Mmph mff!" He really hates the gag. Can't even curse the people out with it. Boots stepped in front of his vision before being replaced by a crouching man. A crouching man who looked like a hobo. He had a concerned look on his face. Not the oddest person he ever saw. The hobo stood back up and moved. Izuku tried to follow where he was going but, again, limited movement. He felt someone messing with the gag. He stilled to let whoever was messing with it get it off.

A few more seconds of the person fiddling with the knot and then Izuku felt the gag get loosened and removed. Thank god. He moved into a sitting position where he could lean against the bus and look at everyone properly.

"Hey kid, you okay there?" Izuku glanced over at the hobo. He held the gag in his hand. The guy still looked concerned but he did help get the gag off. Izuku sighed.

"I'm fine." Izuku rasped. Who knew all that shouting with a dry mouth and a gag could ruin a voice. He cleared his throat. He let himself put on a semi cheerful attitude. "Thanks for removing the gag by the way! It was getting irritating." A sheepish smile formed. "I, uh, didn't mean to ruin your trip. You guys should continue it! There's not much more you can do for me anyway."

"Hold up kid. First, you're not ruining anything. Second, how did you get in there and what do you mean by there being nothing more we can do for you?" Mr. Hobo asked. Izuku didn't want to answer the how part but he could answer the second part.

"Oh, well if you look at my legs and arms you can see they are bound into place. It was done by someone with a glue quirk so you can't exactly untie it as you did with my gag. Don't worry though! The glue stays sticky for only two hours! After that, it comes undone" A moment of silence. "I, uh, I don't know how much time has passed since it was first put on actually. I fell asleep waiting for the glue to wear off. I woke up about twenty minutes ago to the moving bus. If that helps." The sheepish look remained. Mr. Hobo sighed.

"You still didn't answer how you got in there. Iida, Thirteen should be by the door inside the building. Can you grab them?"

"Of course Me. Aizawa!" Izuku looked at the student who spoke while saluting before running off. Silence filled the air again. Izuku realized Aizawa was waiting for an answer to that first question.

He internally grumbled. There was a chance this could all turn into a mess of legalities, but if he can convince the people to just drop it then that's one less headache that can be avoided. "I was messing around with my friends. I don't think they meant for that joke to go this far. Honest! Once this glue wears off I'll make sure to tell my friends they went too far! Then it will all be fine!" Those words tasted like poison in his mouth. As if those bullies would ever be his 'friends'. He forced a smile.

"Any friends that bound and gag their fellow friends aren't actually your friend!" A girl with short brown hair spoke up. She had a frown on her face but she said her sentence with so much conviction in it.

Izuku was about to respond but thankfully he didn't have to at the appearance of the hero Thirteen. He felt his eyes widen in awe before he realized how much more difficult his situation became. If he was dealing with just the right hero, there was a high chance they wouldn't let something like being bound and gagged go. They would question him till they find the culprits that were responsible for his situation.

"Wow! Are you really the space hero, Thirteen?" He needed to distract them from his current situation.

Thirteen's virtual eyes perked up. "Fan, I take it?" That was all they said before they turned to Aizawa. "Iida told me there was a situation. What's up?" Aizawa gestured to Izuku on the ground.

"Found this kid bound and gagged in the storage compartment of the bus." Thirteen's eyes seemed to widen in surprise as they snuck a glance at the still bound Izuku. "I want you to take my class and continue on with the lesson as we planned for today. I've already contacted Present Mic for extra help, but until he gets here, I'll wait with the kid."

"That sounds fine to me!" Thirteen responded.

Hold up a minute. What did Aizawa mean by having Thirteen continuing the lesson for today? What did he mean that he contacted Present Mic? What's really going on? Izuku looked back at the students. He knew they were students because of the uniforms they were wearing. There was something about those specific uniforms. What was it though? He glanced at all of the faces of the students this time. He locked his eyes on a familiar face. Katsuki Bakugo. Wasn't he supposed to be in UA now? Why was he here? If he was here wouldn't that mean… Izuku felt stupid.

"Wait, am I on UA grounds?" He blurted out. All eyes turned on him and he felt his face heat up in embarrassment.

"That was a very good guess. How'd you figure it out?" Aizawa asked.

"It was the uniforms!" He flashed Aizawa an uneasy smile. Thankfully all attention turned off him and onto Thirteen when they spoke.

"Alright, everyone! Gather up! We are going to the USJ for hero safety training! Now…" Thirteen's voice trailed off as they led the class away. Izuku locked eyes with Bakugo as they left. He could practically hear the 'tch' as he turned around and continued to walk away. Okay, that actually stung a little. He shouldn't have expected anything different though. Kach- Bakugo did tell him to take a swan dive off the roof before. He shouldn't have expected anything else from him.

Once the class was out of sight, Aizawa settled down on the ground next to him. "So kid, you got a name? Or am I just going to keep having to call you kid?"

Izuku glanced at Aizawa out of the corner of his eye. If this is UA grounds, then chances are very high that Aizawa is a pro hero too. Especially since he has Bakugo in his class, who he knows won't settle for anything other than the hero course. Izuku doesn't recognize what hero Aizawa is, so he must be an underground hero. The last thing he needs are heroes poking their nose into his business. Not when he is living by himself with no legal guardian and definitely not when he is doing something considered illegal. There was no way in hell he would let them drag him into foster care or worse, a prison.

"My name is Izu. Yours is Aizawa right?" Aizawa gave a nod in confirmation.

"So Izu, you got a last name too?" Izuku gritted his teeth before forcing himself to remain neutral.

"Just Izu. Take it or leave it. I don't really know you so…" Aizawa raised an eyebrow. He might have picked up on the avoidance of his question.

"Okay Izu. What school do you go to? I don't recognize the uniform." His uniform was light gray but had magenta highlights around the sleeves, collarbone, and tie. More so than others, it was a unique uniform, so he might have to change schools if the heroes decide to track it down. He'll need to be careful about what he reveals about himself.

"I just go to an average school." Short and simple. At least Aizawa wasn't pushing for more detailed answers.

"Were those kids that did that to you actually your friends?" Izuku let out a short and curt laugh.

"No." Aizawa seemed to relax slightly at those words but his ever-present frown deepened.

"Do you know why they did what they did to you?" This guy just never stops. His smile was long gone and his annoyance was certainly leaking off him a little.

"Do your questions ever stop?" Izuku couldn't help the little snark. He doesn't like how much Aizawa is prying, but he did remove the gag. He owed him that much. Maybe a little truth wouldn't hurt. He tries to avoid telling people he is quirkless because they either hurt him or end up ignoring him. If Aizawa is like them, then at least he will be off his back. That thought hurt more than he would have liked. It's only the truth though. Izuku sighed.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I'm quirkless. I'm an easy target. They didn't want me spreading my 'disease'. That's why they did what they did." Izuku looked down at his lap. He didn't want to see Aizawa's reaction. There was a beat of silence before Aizawa responded.

"Just because you're quirkless doesn't mean they have a right to treat you that way." His voice was calm, but if one really listened you could hear an undertone of anger. Anger that promised hell on whoever stood in his path to rectify it. Izuku looked up at Aizawa with a small genuine smile this time.

"Thanks. I can say you're one of the few that think that then." Aizawa's expression darkened at those words. It looked like Aizawa was going to say something else but was interrupted before he could speak.

"Shouta! What's this about a kid you needed help with!" Present Mic appeared around the corner of the bus. Izuku perked up while he internally fanboyed.

Aizawa stood up and led Present Mic out of earshot. If Izuku had to guess, Aizawa was briefing Mic on what had happened. At least judging by the periodic glances that were tossed his way. When the duo finished their secret conversation both of them walked back over.

"So I hear you are stuck like that for two hours! No biggie! With me here, those two hours are going to fly! YEAH!" Present Mic finished. Izuku flinched at the loud volume. Aizawa must have thought it was loud too because in a split second after the 'yeah' his eyes were flashing red and his hair started floating up while he glared at Mic.

Izuku smiled at Mic. "I'm sure it will, Present Mic. Honestly, though, I will be fine here! You guys don't really need to do this. Besides once the glue wears off I will leave right away! I have places to go and things to do." The teachers exchanged glances with each other. He couldn't tell what it was about though.

"We are heroes! It's our job to help those in need! We have no issues sticking around till the glue wears off and you are with your guardian safely." Great! Just what he was trying to avoid. Apparently, Present Mic is also one of those heroes that won't leave this subject alone.

"R-really that's not necessary! Just sticking around till the glue wears off is enough! My… guardian is really busy so we don't need to bother them." He watched Mic and Aizawa exchange worried glances. Curse his stutter. He thought he got rid of that years ago. He needs to change the subject now.

"Besides, it's not like this is the first time I'm in this type of situation. It's happened before, it's going to happen again!" Because it really wasn't his first time in this type of situation. There was that one time he went grocery shopping and he got taken hostage. The burglar threatened to shoot him unless he got all the cash in the register. Well once he told the burglar he was quirkless and his value equated to nothing the burglar promptly let him go to find someone who was actually worth something to take as a hostage. He didn't get very far before a hero burst into the store and arrested him. Izuku was in those situations enough to know that it's better to slip away before the questions start.

"You do know that's a concerning statement, right?" He glanced at Aizawa. Looking back, maybe that would be oddly concerning, but coming from his life, it's just the norm at this point. Besides, it successfully changed the topic away from his non-existent guardian.

"Eh, I guess. I'm used to it now at this point." He gave a half-hearted smile. Present Mic frowned.

"That shouldn't be something you get used to, little listener!" He gave a helpless shrug. Present Mic is right, it's not something he should have grown accustomed to. Yet here he is. It just shows how flawed society is. It's one of the reasons he became a vigilante in the first place.

An awkward silence fell. Nobody had anything to say to continue the conversation. Luckily Aizawa decided to break it by clearing his throat and speaking. "Mic, I take it you got this situation covered then?" Mic was quick to latch onto the topic change.

He flashed Aizawa a thumbs up. "Right! I have this covered! You have a class to attend!" Aizawa nodded and turned to leave. He paused in his steps before shaking his head on continuing to the USJ.

When Aizawa was out of sight, Mic spoke up. "Sooo…" He drawled out. "Your arms are really stuck together, huh?" For someone who owns a talk show that had to be one of the worst ice breakers he has ever heard.

"Yea. They're stuck together like glu-" He didn't get to finish his sentence before he was cut off by a semi-panicked shout from Aizawa who had turned around and was running back to them.

"Mic! Multiple villains have infiltrated UA and are attacking the USJ!" Aizawa turned back around and ran. He didn't wait to see if Present Mic was following. Mic was on high alert in a split second.

Izuku leaned forward toward Mic a little. "I may not be a hero but that doesn't sound good. You need to go help them!" Mic hesitated.

"I can't just leave you here. What if one of the villains comes outside? You would be a sitting duck!" Mic glance around. His face lit up.

"Oh! I got it!" Izuku found himself being scooped up in a bridal style. Mic carried him onto the bus and set him in between the middle seats.

"There, that should keep you out of sight of any villains that might come by. Try to keep quiet if they do. I'll be back once this mess has been dealt with! Just hold tight until then!" Mic flashed him a quick smile before hurrying off to help the others.

Izuku shook his head. They didn't call for backup, did they? He internally groaned. He couldn't blame them for forgetting in their rush to help, but if multiple villains were able to infiltrate UA the chances are high that they cut communications on the inside. He couldn't just sit here and wait for Mic to come back. Curse his vigilante side and its need to help.

First things first, he needed to get out of his restraints. He pulled at the glue. It revealed that it is slightly looser with the little stretchiness he felt. It's not much but he can work with it. He positioned himself so he could latch his hands on one of the seats. It makes pulling his arms free from his back so much easier. Unfortunately, the cost of that was ripping his shirt where his arms were stuck. He could sew it later.

With his arms free he was able to maneuver his hands down to reach the pocket knife he kept in his boots. If the glue bonds are weakening then he should be able to cut through it. He just had to hope it works. He also couldn't cut the glue bonds on his arms with his hands because he couldn't exactly reach it with the knife. So he had to put his flexibility to use. Carefully he moved into a kneeling position and placed the knife in between the heels of his feet. One small slip up and he could risk cutting something that's not the glue.

Ever so carefully Izuku leaned back. If he had never become a vigilante he wouldn't have had the flexibility to pull this off. Just as he predicted the glue's bonds were weakening and the knife did its job. He felt his arms becoming looser. Until the knife slipped from between his heels and a jolt of pain ran through his arm. On the bright side, the pain was able to startle him enough to pull and break the remaining glue bonds on his arms.

Upon inspection of where the pain came from, it revealed a cut from the knife. The cut on his arm wasn't deep, but it wasn't a small graze either. It was steadily leaking blood. He has had worse. He pulled his sleeve down to cover it. Picking the knife back up he made quick work on the glue bonds on his legs. He stood up, restraint-free.

Now to get help. He would love nothing more than to burst into the USJ to help fight, but that would reveal some things he doesn't want people to know. He can help in other ways. Starting with hijacking this bus.

Hot wiring the bus to turn on is pretty easy. Especially with nobody to stop him. Like the bus driver. Who was as gone as the keys to the bus. That's only a little suspicious. Not his main focus right now.

He needs to get back to the main campus to alert the teachers of the attack. There's always a first time for everything. Driving couldn't be that hard, and it wasn't, just ignore the bushes that got in his way. That was on the bushes, not him.

Once he was back at the main campus, he didn't waste any time running inside. Every minute he wasted was a risk of someone getting seriously injured.

UA was big. That would make it easier, or harder, to find a teacher. Hopefully easier. Just depends on how often the classrooms are used. It wasn't too hard though. Luckily, he found a teacher in a classroom after his first few attempts. Izuku recognized the teacher as Cementoss. It didn't matter who he told, as long as they listened to him.

"Hey! The USJ is under attack by villains! Please, you need to round up the other teachers and help! Last I heard things weren't going so well." Cementoss paused in his teaching.

"How do I know this isn't some prank?" Izuku gritted his teeth in frustration. They needed help now. They don't have time for this.

"If you don't believe me then try calling Present Mic or Aizawa right now. They are there right now and can vouch for my statement. The call might not go through though. The villains most likely cut any signals to the USJ." Cementoss took his phone out to call one of the two heroes. Which one, he didn't know.

As suspected, the call failed. Cementoss gave him a nod of thanks as he rushed out to gather the other teachers. Izuku felt himself relax slightly. He did what he could to help, without exposing himself in the process. It was on the heroes now. All that's left now is to vacate the premises and get off the radar of the heroes. He turned to leave but a student called out to him.

"Hey, is your arm alright?" His arm? What about his arm? Izuku glanced down at it. There was a deepening dark spot on the sleeve. Right, the cut. He didn't think it was that deep to leave that big of a bloodstain. Guess he was wrong. Instinctively he brought his hand up to apply pressure.

"Yea it's fine! It's just a little cut, nothing to worry about." He tried to wave it off with his hand that was just applying pressure to the wound. There were multiple gasps as a few kids even stood up in concern. What was with that reaction? All he did was wave… with the…

Damn, he can be really stupid sometimes. Of course, the students were worried. His hand was now covered in blood. He replaced it back on the wound.

"Uh, it's just a little blood! Don't worry guys." He gave one of his blinding smiles. The few that stood up sat back down but the overall worried looks didn't fade. There was one student that remained standing. The kid had bags under his eyes and had a set of messy lavender-colored hair.

"You should go to Recovery Girl to get that checked out. I can help escort you." Recovery Girl works here? Huh, you learn something new every day. He can't go though. She might be needed at the USJ and there was the risk that he would be held on campus longer by her. Besides he can take care of the cut himself back at his place.

"Thank you, but that won't be necessary. I know where Recovery Girl's office is already so I'll head there now! Thanks for the offer…" Izuku tailed off.

"Hitoshi Shinso." Izuku nodded and waved, with the hand not covered in blood, at the class. Shinso sat back down in his seat. As Izuku left he could feel the eyes of the class follow him. He needed to get going.

He darted and weaved through a few frantic teachers as they gathered to head to the USJ. Only one scolded him to get back to his classroom as UA is on lockdown. He told them he would head back.

Once he was back outside, slipping away was too easy. The front gate was closed and locked but that didn't deter him. He climbed a tree near the gate and that was that. His harsh landing was nullified by his boots. He really shouldn't be wearing his vigilante boots in the daytime, but they were comfy and they have proven very helpful on multiple occasions. Like for days like today.

A few train rides later and Izuku was back to his abandoned building treating his cut. He was going to have to lay low for a while. Police would want to question anybody involved for something as big as a villain infiltration on UA grounds.

Aizawa sat in Recovery Girl's office with his arm freshly wrapped in bandages. Backup at the USJ had arrived awfully quick. If they had even arrived a minute later he would have had his head crushed into the ground by that monster that the villain brought. Luckily nobody else had any serious injuries.

Present Mic sat off to his side. He held his head in his hands. Tsukauchi already interviewed both of them for their side of the story for the USJ attack. Apparently, Mic freaked out when he started sharing his side of events. All because he forgot he left Izu on the bus and he didn't check on him afterward.

Aizawa wouldn't admit it, but he was worried about Izu too. The bus was no longer outside of the USJ where it was last left. The police were able to track the bus down to the outside of UA's main building. Izu was nowhere to be seen. There were signs that someone hot-wired the bus to turn on. They suspect it was Izu who did that.

Upon further investigation, aka checking the security cameras, it revealed that it was Izu who hijacked the bus and got them help. Both he and Mic were surprised at the news. Of course, after they received the news Mic wanted to thank Izu for his help and, begrudgingly, Aizawa too. Only now Izu was nowhere to be found. The last he was seen was climbing a tree and jumping UA's walls.

Both of them were relieved that Izu got out okay but that didn't stop them from worrying about him. The sentence about not contacting his guardian made them really worried. The kid said he was quirkless, his guardian might not be taking proper care of Izu if he was hesitant to call them. He even had a small stutter when he spoke. Never once did he stutter any other time when talking. Both he and Mic want to make sure his home life is safe.

Also, the police wanted his side of the story. So the police were on the lookout for a boy matching the description he and Mic provided. As if their worries couldn't get any worse, they got worse. A lavender-haired boy, by the name of Shinso, was at Recovery Girl's door.

"Can I help you, sweetie?" Recovery Girl asked.

"Yes, I came here to check on the kid with the cut on his arm." Recovery Girl looked in her medical book for anybody that had an injury matching the description.

"Hmm, I don't have anybody recorded with cuts on their arm today. Did they by chance come in a day before or anytime recently? They might have already been released if so." She frowned.

"Uh, no. He was supposed to come in today. Ya know, the kid with messy green hair, green eyes, blood leaking from his arm. That kid?" Shinso gained a worried look in his eyes. Aizawa and Mic both sat up a bit straighter.

"Where and when did you meet that kid?" Aizawa had to know. If that was Izu… He didn't know what he would do.

"The kid came into my classroom and told our teacher that the USJ was under attack. He told us he was going to go see Recovery Girl. Shortly after, the school went into lockdown." Aizawa's frown deepened and his eyebrows pinched together in worry. Mic was the next to speak.

"How bad did the cut look?"

"We couldn't see it because it was hidden by his sleeve, but there was a decent size bloodstain on it." Mic stood up.

"Thank you." Mic turned to Aizawa. "I'll go look for him and alert the police that Izu was injured on his arm, and as far as we know has not received any medical treatment for it." After he said that he left. Aizawa stood up to help look for Izu. This kid was becoming quite the problem child.

"Where do you think you're going? You're on observation for the night. Sit back down." Recovery Girl's tone left no room for argument. That didn't stop Aizawa from staring at her for a moment before he reluctantly sat back down in his bed. Fine, she can have it her way, but he was looking for Izu first thing tomorrow morning. It didn't mean he was going to be forced to sleep either. He can still look through the database with anyone that matches Izu's description or name.

AN: So how was that chapter? Good? I hope so! Sorry for the extra length, there were no good breaking points in this chapter so it ended up being 5k words! Normally I stick around 2k. Enjoy it while ya can! The next chapter might come out again next week. I don't really have an updated schedule. If anything, I might try to post on Saturdays from now on. We will see how I do!

Anyway, favorites, follow, and reviews are very much welcomed! Thank you all who have done one of those three! It just makes my day seeing one of the three! You all have a wonderful day or night or evening!
