The day of Henry and Ella's wedding had finally arrived. Emma, Regina, and Cora were helping the girls get ready while Snow helped Ella. Regina hadn't needed her cane that day so she left it at home.
"Mommy, I can have someone else do it," Odette whispered.
"It's fine," Regina whispered back, "I've got it."
Regina was going to do the girls hair, but her hands were shaking. "Mama," Odette called, "could you come here?"
Regina was not happy that her daughter had called for Emma. "What's up?" Emma asked.
"Mommy's hands are shaky. I don't think she should do our hair. It will take a long time."
"I can handle it," Regina insisted.
"Okay, but someone else should do their hair to be safe. Shaking hands are not a good thing when you're using something hot."
"Fine, I'll go sit on the couch."
Emma did the girls hair while Regina watched. The mayor was able to help them dress before, but she was still sad she couldn't do their hair. "Mommy," Stella ran over, "look at my dress," the little girl twirled around.
"You look beautiful," Regina smiled.
"What about me?" Faline asked.
"You all do."
"You look beautiful too, mommy," Odette said.
"Thank you, princess."
"You too, mama," Faline quickly added.
"Thanks, kid," Emma chuckled. Once she had finished doing the girls hair, Emma sat with her wife. "You okay?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, it's an emotional day."
"If your mother could get through our wedding then I can get through Henry and Ella's."
Ella walked over to the two women, "what do you think?"
"You look beautiful," Regina said.
"You really do," Emma agreed.
"Thank you," Ella smiled. "I want you to know that I'm really grateful to you both. You've been so helpful in planning this wedding and welcoming me into the family."
"You don't have to thank us. You're marrying our son and should be treated like family."
"Something's missing," Regina said. "Where's your jewelry?"
"I never found any I liked."
Regina waved her hand. Soon Ella had on a diamond and sapphire tennis bracelet, diamond and sapphire teardrop earrings, a matching pendant, and a matching tiara. "There," Regina said, "something new and blue."
Ella looked in the mirror and gasped, "this is too much. I can't accept this."
"It's not as if I paid an arm and a leg for it," Regina said, "I created it with magic. You can accept this and I won't take it back."
Ella turned and smiled at the mayor. She walked over and bent down to hug her, "thank you."
"You're quite welcome," Regina said. Once the hug was over, Ella went to show Cora and Snow her new jewelry.
"We should probably take our seats." Emma stood from the couch, "you good?"
Regina tried to stand, "I need a hand."
Emma helped her wife to her feet. "Don't worry," Emma said, "that couch is low."
"Or I'm just fading."
"No, it's low." Regina took Emma's arm and the two went to their seats. Snow and Cora followed. The girls were in the wedding so they stayed with Ella. Oliver offered to walk Ella down the aisle and Remy was Henry's best man. Oliver was also a groomsman. The wedding was simple and beautiful. Henry danced with both of his moms at the reception. His two younger brothers danced with Ella. After the couple left for their wedding night and honeymoon, the others began to leave as well. Emma walked up to her mother-in-law before leaving, "I'm going to pull the car around for Regina. Could you stay with her and maybe help her?"
"Of course," Cora said.
"Thanks," Emma took the girls with her.
Cora walked over to her daughter, "Regina, sweetheart, are you ready to go?" Without saying a word, Regina held her hand out towards her mother. Cora took her daughter's hand, but couldn't help her stand.
Remy and Oliver walked over, "gigi, what's wrong?" Remy asked.
"Your mother is just very tired. I don't think I can get her to the car."
Remy and Oliver each took a side and helped their mother to her feet. The mayor winced in pain, "mom, you okay?" Oliver asked.
"I'm fine," she lied, "just stiff."
The two young men began helping their mother towards the door. Suddenly, Regina stopped moving, "mom, do you need to take a break?" Oliver asked.
"My legs hurt."
"One of us can carry you," Remy said.
"Are you sure?"
Remy gently lifted his mother into his arms. He carried her towards the door and to the car. Oliver opened the door to leave and the car door. Remy gently sat his mother in the passenger side of the car. He handed Emma the seat belt to buckle. "We'll get our things and meet you at home," Remy said, "mom said her legs hurt. She might need a pain pill."
"Thanks, kid," Emma said.
When they arrived home, Emma used magic to bring the wheelchair to the car. She helped her wife transfer from the car to the chair. Emma helped Regina get ready for bed and get into bed before giving her a pain pill. Luckily they had a few days before their trip. Hopefully, Regina wouldn't be in pain then.
