Molly was sitting next to Rick, and his arm was around her. She loved the casual affection he showed for her. She held up her invitation and said, "Okay, so Rick and I are going to this Masquerade Ball. I got an invitation because my mother owns OSA-P. They are revealing the Legendary Treasure of the Diamánti Kingdom, and after talking to Serena, it got me thinking. Could it be the Legendary Silver Crystal?"

They were sitting in Serena and Darien's apartment with all of the Sailor Scouts, Luna, and Artemis.

Serena's eyes grew wide, "Maybe -"

"No, it can't be," Mina cut in. "Sorry, there is just so much information to give you all. Serena has the Legendary Silver Crystal inside of her. I just don't know how she can access it."

"She's had it all along?" Darien asked. "Then why was Serenity asking me to find it?!"

Mina gave him a wry smile, "She was technically asking you to find her."

Raye scoffed, "Why didn't she just come out and say that? Like Darien would have objected to the idea that he was supposed to find a hot woman."

Artemis spoke up then, "I think there have been too many secrets. You're right, Luna."

Her tail twitched. She was still upset with him, but she found the more times he admitted that he was wrong and she was right, it softened her heart towards him.

Rick rubbed his face with one of his hands and said, "Okay, so I'm still getting used to the whole talking cat thing. But, we all see the way Artemis looks at Luna, right? Surely not all of the secrets are out."

Artemis narrowed his eyes at Rick and asked, "What are you trying to do here?"

"I'm trying to get you to admit you have feelings for her." He then shrugged and said, "It might make her realize how much her still being upset with you hurts you. She doesn't seem vindictive."

Amy spoke up and added, "She's not. She just hates to feel like you don't value her and kept a huge secret from her."

"She's my soulmate, and I remember her perfectly," he replied. "It does hurt to have her angry with me, but I completely understand why she's upset. I earned that."

Luna looked up in shock and said, "I… I matter that much to you?"

"More than you can possibly imagine. I don't remember all of our past lives, but we've had several reincarnations together."

Lita burst out laughing and said, "You get nine lives together, don't you?"

"Yes."

Her eyes then flew wide. "I was kidding. Seriously, nine lives. Like a cat?!"

Artemis shrugged and said, "Cats don't really get nine lives. Where do you think the idea came from?"

Luna asked, "We've had multiple lives together?" She then smiled. "So then I better get over my anger with you. It seems like it's a losing battle anyway." She wanted to forgive him. She was very attracted to him.

"Would you like to go for a moonlit walk with me?"

"I would love to." Luna and Artemis then left the apartment together, not even saying goodbye to anyone.

Mina worked really hard not to say anything about how soulmates always worked out. She knew Raye and Amy would get mad at her comment. She kept that to herself for now.

Instead, she said, "Are we okay on the Legendary Silver Crystal? As adorable as they are, I don't want to get sidetracked and miss anything."

Darien shrugged, "I guess. I wish she told me I was looking for her and not a crystal."

"But aren't you?" Serena asked. "We still need to figure out how to access it and use its power. I would guess she meant that you are the one who will be able to help me find it inside myself."

"Makes sense."

"Wait," Rick said. "Back to the Masquerade, does this Beryl know Serena has the crystal?"

Mina shook her head, "I don't see why she would."

Raye was catching onto what he was hinting at and then said, "Brilliant! That means that she might have Nephrite show up there to discover if it is the crystal. We would be able to guess the scene of the next attack!"

Molly sighed, "Which means I'll be at another Dark Kingdom attack."

"Like hell, you will!" Rick roared out. "You're staying away from that party!"

"Oh?" She said and asked, "And how will I explain that to my mother?"

"Fake an illness," he answered.

Amy shook her head. She saw how frustrated Molly was. She tried to step in and say, "We wouldn't let anything happen to her. She would know what to look out for and hide."

"Why would she purposely put herself in danger?" He looked at Darien, hoping for backup. He knew he would understand where he was coming from.

However, it was Serena that stepped in and said, "Why would you go if you know there could be danger? Do you have any clue how terrified I was when you were attacked at OSA-P? I can't watch you be in danger like that again. I hate that we have to be in danger, but we have extra strength. Alfred, you're the reason we know why this attack is coming. You're a part of this. You don't have to be there to support us."

Molly deflated and Rick hid his smile. She said, "Fine. I'll tell my mom I don't want to go. Just… I will worry about you all."

Raye piped up and said, "Alfred?"

"Yeah, she's the Alfred to my Batman."

"Who says you get to be Batman?! I have crows, that's more like bats. I want to be Batman!"

Darien scoffed, "I'm a rich man whose alter-ego wears dark clothes. I'm Batman."

Molly shook her head, "If that were the case, then Andrew would be your Alfred, and you haven't even told him yet."

"Yet?!" Mina asked. "What do you mean by that?"

"You really think he's not going to tell his best friend. The guy who introduced him to Serena? Sorry, I know you want this to be a secret, but he's going to be in on who we all are."

Lita shrugged, "I don't know… he's dating Rita."

Molly just laughed and said, "I know you're mad at him that he's not dating you, but you need to get over that. He's crazy about her."

"My sister," Rick pointed out. "I'm okay with her dumping him."

Serena said, "That's not going to happen. He's an amazing guy, and she's lucky to have him."

"Yeah, I heard you used to have a crush on him," Darien said with his arms crossed.

She looked at him like he was crazy, "Of course I did. He makes milkshakes. Do you really think I could have resisted that?" She then playfully nudged him and said, "I didn't fall in love with him, though. You're it for me."

He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close, saying, "And don't you forget it."

"We're destined to be together. I can't ever forget that."

Amy's stomach clenched, and she fought against the idea of soulmates. After all, she was falling in love.

Molly saw Amy grow uncomfortable and decided to help her out by changing the subject. "So, at least you all know where the next battle will be. That has to be nice."

Lita said, "He could always attack before that with youma. It might not be the next battle."

"What a depressing thought," Raye said. "Well, at least we know where one battle will be. Any luck with the jadeite stone, Serena?"

She shook her head and sighed, "No clue! I was hoping to talk to you about coming up with ideas together. It was you exercising the evil in him that got him into that form. I didn't know if there were any rituals that a priestess could perform to restore him."

"You think because he's my soulmate," she said it like a dirty word, "that I might be able to help?"

Serena shrugged, "I would have asked you if it happened to any one of the generals. We all have different powers, and yours seems to lend itself more to this. I could be wrong."

"Makes sense," Mina said, "And I'm backing off about all of that soulmate stuff. I'm sorry I upset you."

Raye shrugged, "It's just that there was this guy who worked at the shrine for a bit. I really was beginning to like him, and he just disappeared. I'm still a bit hurt from that."

Serena's eyes opened wide, and she said, "I'm so sorry! Why didn't you tell me?"

"He disappeared just before I met you. I didn't think to tell you then, and now, I don't like to talk about it much. I only said it now so Mina would understand how I'm feeling."

Darien held Serena against him as he let the conversation flow around him. He marveled over the fact that he was in his apartment, surrounded by people, and happy to have each one of them there.
