Zoisite arrived in Darien and Serena's apartment when he'd searched for Amy. He was relieved to see the other scouts were there. That would be convenient. He also noticed that Molly was sitting there comforting Amy.
"What's wrong?" he asked Amy in a panic.
While Amy looked up at him with happy, bright eyes, Molly said, "She's just worried about you being there with Beryl. Did you do something to the youma tonight?! You really shouldn't risk getting caught," she scolded. "Amy's terrified for you."
Zoisite walked quickly over to Amy and pulled her out of her seat, held her, and said, "I didn't do anything. It was a trap, Amy. It went exactly to Nephrite's plan."
"But it didn't work," Serena said in confusion.
"Shit!" Darien yelled, and he leapt out of his seat, "Where the hell is Mina?!" That got all the girls to look at Zoisite in panic.
"She's hurt." He then released Amy and said, "I need you to come with me. The two of us will be back with Mina."
He then grabbed her hand, and they reappeared in the park. He made sure to point out Kunzite and Mina to Amy. "Nephrite tortured her in front of Kunzite, and apparently that snapped him out from under the control of the dark energy." Amy pulled out her Mercury computer and checked. Sure enough, he was back to himself.
"Mina's unconscious, and it will take too long to get Kunzite to trust me without you here," he then added. He knew in Kunzite's mind he would be the enemy.
She got what he was saying as she walked up to a wary Kunzite and reached out to touch Mina. He grabbed her hand before he touched her, and she tried not to hiss out in pain from the pressure he exerted on her. She didn't want to scream out in pain and complicate things by having Zoisite come running to protect her.
"I'm her friend," she insisted. "Her name is Mina now, and I came to help her."
He released her hand and glared at her, "Hurt her, and I'll fucking kill you."
"I'm Sailor Mercury. I won't ever hurt her," she assured him. She then looked back over her shoulder nervously. She faced him again and said, "I need you to trust me, and you have no reason to other than my word. I promise though that I can get you both to safety and to Serenity and Endymion."
The mention of their names got him to relax a bit. "Fine, I'll trust you to take us there." He then stood, picking up Mina and cradling her lovingly in his arms. Amy smiled at how tender he was being with her friend.
She looked at him nervously and said, "The thing is, it's faster if you let…" she looked over her shoulder again at a hidden Zoisite. "If you let Zoisite take us."
"Hell no!" he roared out in a fury. "No fucking way will I trust -"
"Are you done with your little tantrum? She needs help." Amy had managed to cut him off without raising her voice. "Zoisite's smarter than you, muscle-boy, and figured out what Beryl was doing. He's on our side."
"Did you just call me muscle-boy?"
"Yes." She then called out, "Zoisite, come and take us to Endymion and Serenity."
Kunzite stiffened as Zoisite came out from the bushes and placed one arm around Amy tenderly and one hand on Kunzite. Right before they appeared in Darien and Serena's apartment, it was that tender gesture that Zoisite did with Amy that made him begin to trust the man.
When Kunzite arrived, he saw the stricken look on Serenity's face as she ordered him to lay his love down on the couch. "Oh, Mina," she said tenderly as she caressed her brow. "What did he do to you?"
"That jackass tortured her. I'm going to fucking kill the bastard!"
"No, you won't!" She yelled. "We just need to get the dark energy out of him. I'm Serena," Serenity said and smiled up at him. She then pointed over her shoulder and said, "His name is Darien now."
"My Prince, Princess," he acknowledged the introductions without removing his eyes from Mina.
Darien looked over at Amy, who was holding her Mercury computer, and she smiled, "They both check out."
"Thank you." He then looked at Zoisite. "I need you and Amy to figure out how to get Rick here quickly. "We shouldn't take her to a doctor, and I'm not close to being one yet. I'm hoping that our combined knowledge will be enough. If it's not enough, we're going to have to bring Amy's mom in on all of this. I really don't want to make that decision in a panic, though."
Molly whipped out her cell phone and smiled when Rick answered quickly. "Can you make your way to the dumpster behind the Crown Arcade quickly?" … "Perfect! Zoisite will be there to bring you to Darien's apartment. We need your help." She then hung up and said, "He was already at the arcade trying to mess with Andrew while he flirted with Rita. He'll be there soon."
Zoisite then disappeared and quickly reappeared with Rick.
"Mina's hurt," Darien didn't even exchange pleasantries. "I'm hoping the two of us together have enough combined knowledge to help her. She was tortured by electrocution until she passed out." All the girls then cleared a space for Rick and Darien to try to help Mina.
Kunzite stepped in front of Rick, though, threateningly. "Hell no, I don't even know you!" He then shoved Rick hard.
"Move aside, Kunzite. That's an order," Darien said harshly. Kunzite immediately complied, but he stared daggers at Rick.
That was when the fight broke out.
As Rick and Darien tried to figure out what to do for Mina, Kunzite started mumbling that they couldn't trust outsiders. That pissed off Molly, and she saw red.
She got up on Darien's coffee table to be eye level with Kunzite and poked him in the chest, hard. "Stop being such a jackass!" She pointed at Rick and shouted, "He's her friend!"
"She's mine!" Kunzite roared back at her. "I don't trust him!"
She then screamed in his face and said, "While you've been fucking her and walking away, we 'outsiders' have been here with her! I've been one of her friends that reassured her you would love her back when you got out of all that mind Voodoo that Beryl did on you! Now, stop acting like a spoiled baby and let them take care of your wife!"
"Wife?" Serena asked. "They're married?"
Molly sighed in frustration and shoved Kunzite, "And now you made me let out that secret!"
Serena persisted, "They're married?"
"We married on Venus in a ceremony that bound us together through death and reincarnations. She was born married to me." He then looked at Molly and calmly said, "She remembers that she's my wife?"
"Yes, she's the only scout that remembers the past. It's my guess that she does because of the wedding. She'd have to remember her previous life in order to honor her vows."
He looked down at Mina tenderly, breathing out the words, "She actually remembers me."
"Yes," Molly stated.
He watched as Mina blinked her eyes open and said, "Molly, you're loud enough to wake the dead."
She jumped off the coffee table and quipped back, "Good, then I woke the sleeping princess. I was wondering if Kunzite would have to kiss you, Sleeping Beauty."
"No, you yelling at him took care of that for me."
Mina's eyes then slipped to Amy, "Please tell me he's not evil anymore."
"He's not, I promise."
Mina finally let herself look at Kunzite, and her eyes welled up with tears. "I'm so happy you're here."
"I promise he surprised me when he brought me down to see you tortured. I wasn't any part of Nephrite's plan."
Zoisite added, "Neither of us knew. He was trying to please Beryl. He didn't want us interfering."
Lita cracked her knuckles and said, "I'm sooo kicking his ass."
Kunzite looked at her and said, "Get in line, Sparky."
"Did you just call me Sparky?!"
