Raye knocked on Darien and Serena's door at two in the morning. She was exhausted. What more could be happening, she wondered. They just defeated the lone youma in the park seven hours earlier. Then Mina was taken and tortured, and Kunzite saved her. So much had happened in such a short time.

She knew they were all scheduled to meet later at a more humane hour that day. Whatever Serena wanted must be important. She knew for sure it was. Serena wouldn't call her and drag her out of bed otherwise.

She stepped into the apartment, and her eyes immediately went to Jadeite. She didn't have even a moment where she wasn't sure if it was him. She gave him a brilliant smile. He was alive!

"Hello," he said awkwardly. "I'm… not a stone anymore, " he finished lamely.

She smiled at his nervousness and said, "I noticed. You're much more handsome like this."

"Noted. You're not into agalmatophilia."

Serena groaned loudly, "Seriously, you too?! I don't know what that means!" She then stomped her foot petulantly.

Darien pulled her close and whispered into her ears, "It means she's not sexually attracted to inanimate objects."

"Oh."

"Who says I'm sexually attracted to you at all?" Raye quipped back.

Jadeite scoffed, "You have eyes." He gestured at himself. "I'm sexy." He gave her a searing smile and said, "You're sexy as hell, too. I remember what you look like naked after all." He then slowly raked his eyes over her body from head to foot, undressing her with his eyes.

She marched forward and shoved him. "That's hardly fair. Stop picturing me naked!"

"No, I don't want to," he said simply. "I like you naked. You're loud in bed too, but I like a screamer."

"Serena," she said, not removing her eyes from Jadeite, "Do I have permission to turn him back into a stone?"

Serena laughed out loud and said, "Sure, go for it, Raye." She then added mildly, "But then you can't find out if you can make him scream too."

She scoffed at that, "I can make that man scream. I'll just hold him too close to the Great Fire."

"Damn, you're so hot," Jadeite whispered. He loved her temper and the fire burning in her eyes right now.

Darien rolled his eyes at the whole thing, "Back on topic. We thought Jadeite could stay in Amy's empty room at the girl's house. We just wanted you to know he's back."

"I want to stay in her bed," Jadeite said, pointing at Raye.

Darien laughed at his sullen tone, "She has to invite you first."

He turned to Raye and demanded, "Then invite me to share your bed."

"Nope, stay in Amy's old room," she said with her arms crossed.

"Who's Amy?"

"Sailor Mercury," Serena said, smiling. "She moved into Zoisite's place."

"Am I the last to join you, Darien?" That thought really annoyed him.

"No," Mina said, "Nephrite's still evil. Dumb-jerk tortured me."

"Damn, I wouldn't want to be him right now. Between you and Sailor Jupiter, he's going to regret that!"

"I'm going to let Lita, Sailor Jupiter, take care of him. She's pissed at him, and I always look out for my friends."

Raye yawned. She was exhausted. Jadeite noticed and instantly felt protective of her. He knew she wouldn't want to be coddled through, so he said, "Time for bed, Raye. We can pick this up tomorrow."

"I'm not tired," she snipped back.

"I know," he said with a seductive smile. "Now's the time you let me walk you home and then invite me in when I get you to your room. I can make sure you're plenty worn out and ready for sleep."

"What, are you going to talk to me and bore me to sleep?" She sassed back, smiling.

"No, I'm going to make love to you until you're worn out from intense pleasure. I do remember your turn-ons."

She looked at him with a gleam in her eye he couldn't read and said, "Then walk me home."

He looked at her in shock, "What's the catch?"

"No catch. Unless you can't deliver."

"But…." he trailed off. She'd shocked him by saying yes.

"You're my soulmate, and you're right. You're incredibly hot."

"I'm right? You never admitted I was right before."

She shrugged, "It's late in the … Well, early in the morning. I'm not at my best. Just take me home, Jadeite. I'll warn you that my grandfather will probably kick your ass if he catches you coming out of my room later today."

"Fine by me. Sex with you is more than worth an ass-kicking by an old man."

Later that morning, as he lay in her bed with his cock buried deep inside her warmth, he smirked. Sex with her was worth anything.

At ten o'clock, Jadeite had already spent a long time kissing Raye goodbye when he slipped out of her room. He wanted to blend in with the people visiting the shrine. That way, her grandfather wouldn't know where he came from.

Luck was on his side when he was nowhere in sight. Unlucky for him, Phobos and Deimos did see him exit her room. They took their job as her guardians seriously. Raye laughed as she saw Jadeite dashing away from the shrine as they pecked at him. He was screaming at them not to peck at his eyes.

She shook her head fondly and stepped back into her room. She closed the door and leaned against it. She remembered early that morning.

He was cocky in public, but in private, when they were alone in her bedroom, he was charming.

He told her how he was drawn to her as Jed, and she made him question himself for the first time. He then mentioned all the things he'd noticed about her then. She was astonished by how much he picked up. It made her feel special and seen.

He said sweet words to her and promised forever. He already loved her, and she was overwhelmed by how much she believed him.

She reflected on how right Mina had been about them all. She'd already apologized for getting angry, but now that she had Jadeite, she felt she needed to again. She was so happy.

And the sex was incredible.

He was so soft and so tender with her. He made sweet love to her with words and action. She always figured she'd be like a roaring fire in the bedroom. It turned out she liked to simmer low and hot. He would live in Amy's old room, for now. She would be spending nights there with him, though, whenever she could.

She smiled, dressed for the day, and headed off to work.
