Snow and David took Henry home around lunchtime. "Hey, kiddo," Emma said as her son hugged her. She looked up at her parents, "wanna stay for lunch?"
"Sure," Snow said. The four went to the kitchen where Regina was already sitting in her chair at the table. Henry ran over to hug her as well.
The family was about halfway through lunch when Regina decided to say something. "It would appear that romance is a trait of your family," she said to Snow and David.
"I take it the romantic dinner was successful," Snow said. Regina held up her left hand and smiled. Snow screamed with joy while David and Henry were more silent with their excitement. "Can I help plan?"
"Of course you can," Emma said, "but we get the final say."
"Understood," Snow smiled, "Regina, I'm here for you too. If you want my help or anything, all you have to do is ask."
"Thank you," Regina smiled. Henry walked over and hugged his moms while congratulating them. David hugged Emma before turning to Regina and hugging her tightly.
"You did it," he whispered
"Did what?"
"Redeemed yourself," he answered, "there isn't one person here who isn't proud of you."
"Thank you, David."
David pulled back and looked at Regina and Emma, "so is Regina gonna be our daughter-in-law, or is Emma gonna be our step-mother-in-law?"
The women groaned and roll their eyes. "I've said it before and I'll say it again," Regina began, "way to kill the mood, Charming."
Henry was reading a book in the living room while his mother was napping on the couch. She woke up and tried to sit up, "Henry," she said still sleepy, "could you give me a hand?"
"Sure," the boy marked his page and stood to go help his mother. He slipped a hand under her back and took her right hand.
"Thank you," she said once she was sitting up.
"Do you need anything?" Just then something fell to the floor.
"Yeah, could you pick my cane up?"
Henry smiled and bent down to pick up his mother's walking aid. "You didn't even have to ask. I wasn't going to just walk away."
"Thank you, sweetheart," Regina took the cane and made to stand. She realized that her body was too weak. "I need help and I don't think you will be able to provide the amount of help I need."
"I'll be back," Henry left to get his mama. Emma went to the bedroom to retrieve her fiance's wheelchair and pushed it into the living room.
"You ready?"
"Yeah," Regina held her hand out and Emma helped the woman move from the couch to the wheelchair.
"Where do you need to go?"
"Bathroom," she answered quietly.
Emma had to help Regina in the bathroom. That use to bother Regina a great deal, but she was now used to it and loved that the woman was so caring towards her. Emma never complained and was always gentle. It made this new way of life that Regina was dealing with much easier.
Regina and Emma's wedding day had arrived. Snow was helping her daughter get ready. Emma's makeup and hair were done. Snow helped her get into her wedding dress. Once the dress was on, Snow stepped back to look at her daughter.
"Wow, you look beautiful," Snow said to her daughter.
"Thanks," Emma hadn't stopped smiling all day. "Hey, who's helping Regina?"
"I don't know. Want me to check?"
"Please," Emma began to worry about Regina. The woman was in a fragile state and needed help doing practically everything these days.
Snow walked into the room where Regina was getting ready and noticed that the woman was alone. "Hey, shouldn't someone be helping you get ready?" Snow asked.
"I didn't know who to ask and thought I could do this on my own."
Snow shot a message to Emma and without saying a word, walked over to start helping Regina. She had finished the woman's hair and makeup. Now all that she needed was her dress. "Do you need help with your robe?"
"I don't think so," Regina removed her robe and Snow saw the woman's seven-month pregnant belly.
"You look beautiful," she smiled and Regina smiled back. Snow helped the woman into her wedding dress. "Is Henry walking you down the aisle?"
"I can't walk."
"I have an idea." Snow told Henry to wheel Regina to the kitchen doors. From there he would help his mom walk down the aisle. There were two chairs in the event Regina needed to sit. It was difficult, but Henry was able to help the woman to her feet.
Regina and Emma began to tear up when they saw one another. David was escorting his daughter down the aisle. They were walking towards the apple tree from opposite directions. That way they could see one another. Emma was the image of Princess Grace and Regina looked like an angel. Emma held Regina with both her arms. Henry and David were nearby just in case. The ceremony went off without a hitch. The newlyweds took a moment to rest in their room. Emma had Regina's feet on her lap to massage them.
"You are just so beautiful," Emma said.
"I look like Shamu."
"I don't remember Shamu wearing a beaded Grecian dress."
Regina laughed, "smartass."
"That's not wedding talk."
"You look just like a princess."
"I am a princess."
Regina rolled her eyes, "I may have made a mistake."
"Too late," Emma laughed, "you're stuck with me now." Regina had insisted that her wife dance and have fun. Emma felt guilty because Regina had to pretty much sit the entire time. Snow and David were the last to leave that night. Emma hugged her mother, "thank you for helping her," she whispered.
"You don't have to thank me. I was happy to do it."
After her parents left, Emma went back to where her wife was sitting in the living room. She helped the woman into her wheelchair and took her to their room. Emma carefully helped Regina get ready for bed before having the traditional wedding night.
