Regina was in her ninth month and had been bedridden for two months now. She was hardly able to even sit up at this point. Emma had taken a leave of absence from work to take care of her wife.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Emma asked gently when she saw Regina awake.

"Can we talk?"

"Sure," Emma sat on the edge of the bed and took Regina's hand.

"I wanted you to know that I made it so that if anything happens to me, you will get full custody of the baby."

"Really? That's an amazing gesture, but I believe you're going to be fine."

"I might have another stroke."

"You might not."

"Ever the optimist."

"Have you decided on a name?"

"It was easy to name Henry. I wanted to name him after my father. I don't know what to name this baby. Do you have any ideas?"

"No, but I can brainstorm some in case you are still having trouble when she's born."

Cora walked into the bedroom, "how's my favorite former queen?"

"Tired," she whispered, "Emma keeps bugging me."

"That's so not true," Emma said in a higher voice.

"Regina, did you tell me the truth?" Cora asked.

"No," the mayor groaned.

"Why don't you get some sleep?"

Regina moaned in pain, "my back."

"Sweetheart lay back down."

"Emma, would you be mad if I wanted my mom to stay with me?"

"Of course not," Emma stood and left the two women alone.

"Do you need help?" Cora asked.

"Yeah," Regina winced. Cora helped her daughter lie down and get remotely comfortable. "Thank you," Regina said softly. Cora took her daughter's hand and just sat there with her while she rested.

Regina was nearly a week overdue. She was scheduled to be induced in two days if she hadn't gone into labor by then. Snow and David decided to stay at the Mills house to help out while Regina was laid up and after the baby was born for a few weeks. David went to check on Regina and noticed that she appeared to be uncomfortable. "Are you alright?" David sat on the edge of the bed and took one of her hands.

"I think I'm in labor," she breathed out.

"How close are your contractions?"

"They're still far apart, but my water broke. I think that confirms my thinking."

"When did it break?"

"Fifteen minutes ago."

"What?! Why didn't you tell us? Never mind. We need to get you to the hospital."

"David," Regina looked frightened, "I'm scared."

"I know, but you'll be fine. I have no doubt."

"We need to call Emma."

"I'll have Snow call her while I help you into your chair." David left to give his wife the task before returning and helping Regina. She and David left for the hospital while Snow waited for Henry to get out of school. Emma made her way to the hospital after her mother called. She rushed into her wife's room and saw the woman being comforted by David. "Honey, how are you doing?" she asked as she rushed to the woman's bedside.

"I'm hanging in there," Regina breathed out.

"Dad, could you give us a moment?" Emma asked. David smiled and left the room. "Tell me the truth."

"I told your father that I'm scared."

"That's understandable, honey."

"I'm not scared. I'm terrified."

"I wish I could assure you that everything will be alright."

Regina smiled, "it's okay. Is my mother coming?"

"Yes, but she had to run somewhere. She said to tell you that you're going to do great and she loves you." That comment made Regina smile.

Henry and Snow walked into Regina's room upon their arrival. Both, along with David, stayed in the room while Regina was in labor. They only left when the doctor entered to examine her and see how dilated she was. The doctor had advised against an epidural because of her stroke. Instead, they gave Regina laughing gas. She couldn't have the epidural and couldn't be stressed out by her contractions. It was after two in the morning when David, Snow, and Henry left the room so Regina could begin to push.

"Honey, you're doing great," Emma said proudly.

"She's right, your majesty," the doctor said before having Regina take a break. The woman was exhausted.

"I don't know if I can do this," she panted.

The doctor became concerned, "what do you mean?"

"I'm too tired."

"Do you feel as if you're having another stroke?"

"No," she said.

"You're almost done. Once you get the shoulders out I should be able to pull the baby out." When the next contraction hit, Regina began pushing again. She pushed harder than she thought she was capable of. Sometime after three in the morning, a loud cry filled the room. "Congratulations," the doctor said, "you have a beautiful princess."

The nurse walked up to Emma with the baby, "would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" Emma smiled and took the scissors. The baby was placed on Regina's chest and the woman began to cry tears of joy. After a minute, the nurse took the baby girl to clean her up. Once Regina was cleaned up and in a room, the baby was reunited with her moms. Emma picked the baby up and held her as she walked over to Regina. "Do you have a name, your majesty?"

"Yes," Regina answered.

"I'll leave these forms for the birth certificate for you and Emma to fill out." The nurse placed the forms on the table and left the new family alone.

Emma smiled at her wife and handed the baby to her. "Can I know her name?" Emma asked jokingly.

"Odette Margaret Mills," Regina said with a smile.

"Where did you come up with the name?" Emma asked.

"Well, Margaret after your mother and Odette after you." Regina could tell her wife was confused, "Odette was the name of the swan princess."

"Well, I love the name and I love you."

"I can't believe that in six months we're going to be here again."

"Luckily for you, it will be me in the bed."

"Luckily for you, you didn't have a stroke and can get an epidural. Although, the laughing gas wasn't bad."

"Should I try to order some for home?"

"Absolutely," Regina joked, "I'd love to see your mother on laughing gas."

Emma laughed, "now I feel like we have to do it."

Snow was touched by Regina naming the baby after her. "That's so sweet, but why?"

"You have been so wonderful through all of this. All of you have, but the baby's a girl so Snow gets the credit.

David smiled, "she deserves it."

"I have to tell you something," Emma said to her parents. "In about six months we're going to be back here again." Emma could tell that her parents were confused, "I'm pregnant."

"What?" her parents said in shock.

"I was artificially inseminated. Technically Neal is the father, but he has agreed that Regina and I will be the parents. Henry will have a full-blood sibling."

Snow and David hugged their daughter. Life was more than good. It was amazing and it was only going to get better. Cora walked in and went to hug her daughter and daughter-in-law before meeting her granddaughter. "Regina, she's just gorgeous. Oh, I have a surprise for you." Cora handed Odette to Snow and went to open the door. Everyone was stunned by who they saw walk in.

"Daddy?" Regina's voice was filled with emotion, "how is this possible?"

"I gave him half of my heart," Cora revealed.

"Why?" Regina asked.

"I know how much you adored your father and how much you regret your actions. Plus, my heart wanted him back."

Henry Sr. walked over to his daughter and took her into his arms. Regina burst into tears as did everyone else. "It's okay," the former king said.

"I have so much to tell you and so many people to introduce you to."

"I'm pretty sure I know who this young lady is holding my new granddaughter." The man stood and gave the blonde a half hug, careful of the baby in her arms, "you must be my daughter-in-law, Emma."

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Mills, um your highness, majesty..."

The man chuckled, "don't worry. We can figure out the formalities later. May I?" he pointed to Odette. Emma transferred the baby to her father-in-law.

"Daddy," Regina said, "Emma is expecting a baby in six months. You're going to have another grandchild."

"That's wonderful," Henry beamed. Cora walked over to hug the woman.

"Wait, do you two have a place to stay?" Emma asked.

"We're just going to stay at Granny's," Cora answered. The woman had been staying with Emma and Regina but knew that the couple needed space to adapt.

"That's ridiculous," Emma said, "you both can stay with us."

"Are you sure?" Cora asked.

"You're family and that's what families do. We help each other out."
