Emma and Regina moved back into their Storybrooke home a few days later. Once they were settled, Odette offered to take Regina to dinner. Emma was fine with that because Regina needed to get out of the house more. Regina and Odette were in the coach on their way to Storybrooke, "thank you for dinner, dear."
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," Odette said, "and that I got to spend some time with you."
"I really do need to get out more."
"You just need time to get used to your surroundings. Be more comfortable walking around."
Suddenly the coach stopped and a loud thud was heard along with the horses neighing. "Something must have happened," Odette said.
"Wait here," Regina didn't hesitate to step out of the coach. She found the coachman on the ground. She turned and saw a man she never thought she'd see again. Regina gasped, "Rothbart? But you're dead."
"Did you really think I'd leave this realm myself? I sent a copy to Storybrooke."
"Mother, is everything alright?" Odette asked from the coach without looking outside.
"Yes, I'll be right there."
"No, you won't."
Regina felt the blade pierce her flesh and she collapsed to the ground. She heard her daughter scream for her and saw through her clouded vision that Rothbart had Odette, "Odette!" she yelled before losing consciousness.
