A week after Regina had been discharged, the Mills home received a few visitors, "Grammy," Roland ran excitedly to the couch Regina occupied.
"What are you doing here?" she asked excitedly and surprised.
"Got surprise for you."
Roland moved over and Odette walked in holding her baby girl. She sat next to her mother and handed over her baby, "I'm so sorry we took so long. We didn't want you to feel bad about not being able to hold her."
"I appreciate you thinking about my feelings. You're right," Regina admitted, "I probably would have been more upset."
"Well, mom, mama, this is Regina Cora Hood. We call her Jeannie."
"What? You named her after me?" Regina had tears in her eyes. "Thank you," she cried.
"Oh, mom, you don't have to thank me."
"Where's Robin?"
"Right here," Robin walked in and everyone did a double-take, "yep, we had twins." He handed the baby to Emma. "This little lady is Emma Snow Hood or Emmy."
"You guys are the best," Emma said. She took Emmy and sat next to Regina. Eventually, the two women switched. Odette, Robin, and the kids stayed until bath time. They promised to visit more often and even planned to visit two days later.
"This was honestly the best day I've had in a long time," Regina said once she and Emma were in bed.
"Me too," she agreed. "You're still thinking about Henry, aren't you?"
"I'm trying not to. I mean look at today. Why am I still thinking about them?"
"If it had been his family instead of Odette's you would be sitting here thinking of her."
"I guess you're right."
"I have to tell you something that I've been avoiding tell you because I didn't want to upset you more."
"Then don't tell me."
"Okay," Emma shrugged.
"What is it?"
"Promise you won't have another stroke?"
"Yeah, cus I really wanted the two I've already had."
Emma sighed, "after your stroke, Faline and Graham decided to break up."
"What? Why?"
"They felt that their relationship contributed to your stroke."
"You're right," Regina said, "our children are idiots."
Emma smiled and kissed her wife. Regina's physical health was on the mend, and now she needed to mend things with her children. She had seen Odette, but now it was time to see the others. Her next call was going to be the easy one.
Regina had called to invited Remy, Oliver, and Stella to come back home. The children agreed and apologized for leaving to begin with. They would be home in a couple of days and Regina took that time to help Faline reunite with Graham. The engagement was back on and Regina looked forward to helping her daughter plan the wedding. Things were falling back into place. Regina had saved the hardest task for last. One reason was that she didn't know how to fix things with Henry and his family. Another reason was she wasn't sure she wanted to hear what they had to say to her.
Emma asked her mother-in-law to come over and stay with Regina while she went to tell Henry off.
"Mama, is mom alright?"
"Do you really care?"
"That's a bit low."
"No, it's not. Your mother has been beside herself because you and your family are ignoring her."
"She's the one..."
"Shut up, I'm not done!" it had been a while since Henry heard Emma that angry. That level of anger had never been directed at him. "You have no idea why she kept canceling, but I do. She left you alone at the park, but you had to corner her to attack her. She had a severe stroke right in front of you and four months later she still hasn't seen or heard from you. It takes a lot for me to be ashamed of my children, but I am deeply ashamed of you. That woman has already been through so much and you are just content with continuously putting her through the wringer. I want you to know that I've spoken to all four of your grandparents and your siblings. Until you grow up and hear your mother out, they will not be in contact with you. Yes, she and your siblings made amends. You are the only one still holding a grudge." Emma didn't wait for Henry to answer. She turned and walked away from the house. She felt a bit of relief as she started her car. Those feelings had been bottled up for a long time.
Henry closed the front door and found his wife and Lucy behind him, "are you okay, babe?"
"I don't know."
"Well, if you want to talk about it then let me know."
Lucy hugged her father and the man gave her a slight smile.
