Jadeite took her left hand, holding up the ring, and said, "Molly's mother said that the ruby stands for spiritual wisdom. I thought it was perfect for you, beyond it being the color of Mars."

Lita sighed happily, "How romantic."

He looked over at Lita and said, "I'd have taken her out to dinner, but honestly, no one makes better food than you do, and I wanted the meal to be perfect."

"Not to mention that Raye will get to show off her ring all day now," Molly added. "And you beat the other generals by proposing."

"Exactly!" He said, smiling, and kissed Raye's hand. "I need to talk to your Grandfather about a wedding now. Who has to sign legally?"

"My dad, but I already got him to agree to sign the necessary paperwork."

Lita stared at the breakfast she made as they joked around and thought about what the generals had been telling her. She had accepted that she was a good cook.
