Henry's family had cut him out after hearing what had happened. The holidays were approaching and his family had nowhere to go. Ella's family was gone and Henry's wasn't speaking to him. Lucy had found out at school that Regina and Emma were taking Roland to the park after school on Friday. She convinced her parents to take her and Celia. They had no idea the others would be there. Lucy arrived first with her family. Ella sat on the bench holding Celia while Henry pushed Lucy on the swings.

"Roland, don't go too far," Emma yelled as the others turned at the sound of her voice. She was helping Regina to a nearby bench. The mayor was limping and using her cane. They saw a knee brace on Regina's left knee. Emma helped Regina sit and then sat with her wife.

"Go play with him."

"I will, but I want to sit with you first for a bit."

"The pain is getting worse."

"Well, it's busted. So much so that even magic can't fix it."

"I really don't want to have surgery."

"No one does except people obsessed with plastic surgery." Emma noticed her wife wince. She stood and helped Regina move so she could put her leg up on the bench. Emma conjured up some pillows for support.

They were interrupted by a little voice behind them, "hi."

Emma turned knowing exactly who it was, "Lucy, what are you doing here?"

"I heard you two were bringing Roland and thought maybe we could fix this."

Emma crouched down, "that's very sweet, but your parents seem fine where they are."

"I asked if I could come over here. They said as long as they could see me that they didn't care where I played."

"Well, why don't you go play with Roland? I need to make sure grammy's okay before I go." The little girl smiled and ran to play with her cousin.

"I wonder what changed her mind?"

"Maybe she saw exactly who you are that day? She saw how much you love her family. That you were willing to let them go for their own happiness."

"You think a six-year-old thought about all of that?"

Emma shrugged, "I thought of it so possibly."

"Well, you've got me there."

Emma looked down at her phone, "Henry just sent me a text. He wants to know if he can come over here?"

"It's a public place. He can go wherever he wants."

"Yeah, I'm just gonna say okay."

Henry walked over and Regina went to move so he could sit, "no, mom, it's fine. Just keep your leg up." He knelt down and took her hand. Regina saw the tears in his eyes, "I'm so sorry for everything. I've been terrible to you and I apologize for everything from the past seven years. I don't want to lose either of you." Henry hugged his mother who was now crying. He then stood to hug Emma and apologize to her.

"Why don't you guys come over for dinner tonight?" Emma asked.

"That would be great," Henry smiled, "there's an introduction that's long overdue." While Celia had been in the presence of Henry's mothers twice, an introduction was never made. Ella held the baby the entire time. One of those times Regina was in the midst of having a terrible stroke.

Emma and Regina dropped off Roland before heading home. Regina was exhausted and in a great deal of pain. "Honey, wait here and I'll get your wheelchair."

"Okay," she said softly.

Emma brought the chair out and helped her wife transfer from the car. "I'll get you a pain pill."

"I need to lie down."

"Okay, I'll call Henry to reschedule."

"No, don't," Regina said quickly, "as long as I'm able to stretch my leg out then I should be fine."

Emma helped Regina get settled and sent Henry a message to pick up dinner. When he arrived with his family, Emma took the food to the kitchen and they followed.

"Where's grammy?" Lucy asked.

"She needed to lie down," Emma answered.

"Is she alright?" Henry asked.

"Well, she can't walk anymore today. I don't even know if she'll be able to walk tomorrow. I gave her a pain pill, but it was mild so it probably didn't do much. She didn't want to be asleep the entire time you were here."

"Why didn't you just reschedule?" Henry asked.

Emma glared at her son, "really?"

"Yeah, bad suggestion on my part."

"Is it alright if we all go in there and introduce you both to Celia at the same time?" Ella asked.

"Sure, let me just make sure she's awake." Emma walked ahead and poked her head in the room, "honey, are you up for some visitors?"

Regina smiled and Emma opened the door. Henry and Lucy both hugged the woman. Emma crawled into bed next to her wife. Ella walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "Celia this is your grammy," she said as she handed the baby to Regina. The former queen cried tears of joy as she held the infant.

After a few minutes, Regina handed the baby to Emma, "hey," the sheriff said, "I'm your nana, kid. I'm the fun one," she joked and Regina rolled her eyes. "She's so cute," Emma said.

"She's just beautiful," Regina added.

"We're so glad you two were finally able to meet her," Henry said.

Emma noticed a pained expression her wife was trying to hide. She handed the baby to Henry, "could you guys get dinner all set up?" The little family agreed and left the room, "Regina, what's wrong?"

"That pain medicine isn't working."

"Honey, they will understand."

"No, I can't risk them being angry with me again."

There was a knock at the door and Lucy walked in. "I was wondering if I could hang out in here until dinner?"

"Of course you can," Regina smiled.

Lucy climbed onto the bed. She almost fell off of the bed and grabbed Regina's thigh and knee. Regina screamed a very painful scream. "Honey, what happened?"

Regina was in too much pain to speak. "I'm so sorry," Lucy said upset, "I thought it was the other knee." The little girl jumped off the bed and ran out of the room.

Seconds later, Henry ran in, "what the hell?"

"Call an ambulance," Emma said. She held her wife and tried to soothe her, but the woman was in excruciating pain. Emma went with Regina in the ambulance and Henry followed them in his car. Ella stayed at the house to feed the kids. "Kid, you can head home," Emma said, "I can call when she's out of surgery. I think Lucy really needs you."

Henry reluctantly left the hospital. Emma called two hours later to say that Regina did very well in surgery. The knee had shattered and they had to clean out the broken bone before putting the replacement in. Lucy refused to go visit Regina. She felt terribly guilty and completely responsible. When Regina was released from the hospital five days later, she had Emma drive her to Henry's. Emma helped Regina out of the car and into her wheelchair before texting Henry to bring Lucy out. The little girl looked frightened and stood a few feet away from Regina.

"Lucy, sweetheart, this is not your fault. I have been having trouble with my knee for months. My doctor told me weeks ago that I needed to have surgery ASAP, but I was too afraid to."

"You're not mad at me?" she asked softly.

"Of course not. I could never be mad at you."

Henry chimed in, "you've been mad at me."

"That's different," Regina said, "you're my son and parents get mad at their kids. Grandkids are different."

Henry rolled his eyes. "Daddy," Lucy looked up at her father, "maybe we should stay with nana and grammy to help out while grammy recovers?"

Henry and Ella had already wanted to stay with them, but they knew how upset Lucy was, "actually, I think that's a great idea," Henry said.

"We'll see you there," Emma said, "your mother needs to get home to rest."

"That's all I seem to do lately," Reigna said.

"Stop being stupid and you won't have to so much."

Henry and Lucy laughed as the two women bickered before leaving. A couple of hours later, Henry and his family were at his childhood home. They ended up staying for a year. Their time at the house helped Ella form a closer relationship with Regina. She already had one with Emma. Regina and Emma were able to become closer to their granddaughters. It was decided that Henry and his family would temporarily leave Storybrooke to help free another kingdom.
