Regina remained in the hospital for two days. Snow, David, the boys, the dwarves, Blue, Ruby, and Granny were on hand to welcome the mayor back home. They said that they'd leave so she could rest but wanted her to know she could call on them for anything and they wished her a speedy recovery. The dwarves had to get back to the mine and Ruby and Granny to the diner.

"Your majesty," Blue said after they left, "I can heal you physically if you'd like."

Regina looked down at the bump she still had, "can you get rid of this too?" she asked without looking up.

"Yes," Blue answered.

Regina nodded her head and Blue waved her wand. The mayor watched as the bump that once housed her daughter, disappeared. The physical pain did as well, "thank you," she whispered.

"Of course," Blue handed Regina a letter, "this is from someone who decided it was better for you if they weren't here when everyone else was."

After Blue left, Regina read the letter while her family occupied themselves, "it's from Archie," she said.

Everyone was surprised she had revealed the author, "really?" Emma asked.

"He didn't want to embarrass me by showing up since everyone would probably know why. I guess he told Blue it was just a get-well note. He told me that if I needed to talk to him to let him know. That he's not going to push me."

"That was nice of him," Henry said.

"Yeah," Regina replied, "everyone wanted me dead. Then I almost die and suddenly they're all willing to help."

"Sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake people up," Snow said.

"If they only knew what I've been through over the past eight years."

"They just want to help," David said.

"What about in a few weeks?" Regina asked. "Are they going to go back to hating me? Is this just temporary because of what happened and being nice is the right thing to do?"

"Regina," Emma said.

"No, you of all people don't get to say anything. You have never gone through this, but I seem to be more cursed than everyone else was two days ago."

"What are you talking about?" Snow asked softly.

"I have tried to have another baby since Remy was a year old. Every time I get pregnant and every time I miscarry. This is the first time I almost died and I'm taking it as a sign."

"Regina, how many times have you miscarried?" Snow asked gently. She had only ever been aware of the one time.

"Nine," the mayor answered.

"I told you that if you want to try again that I would support you," Emma said.

"I almost died this time. If I try again then I will die," Regina responded with, "maybe a part of me has already died?" Regina walked out of the room and upstairs. She slammed the door shut.

Regina had grown tired of everyone asking if she was okay. One day she decided that she didn't want to hear it anymore. She threw her hearing aid out.

"How's Regina?" Snow whispered at the house one day. Snow, Red, Granny, Blue, and Emma were all sitting at the dining room table.

"You don't have to whisper," Emma said.

"I don't want her to hear me."

"She won't because she threw her hearing aid out," Emma explained.

"She has a hearing aid?" Granny asked.

"It's an effect of the curse I think. I don't know. She's had one since before she met me."

"I'm gonna guess she's not doing well," Red said.

"You guessed correctly."

"She needs to have a day where no one asks her how she is. A day where she can just have fun," Snow said.

"What are you suggesting?" Emma asked.

"We treat Regina to a girls' night."

"We?" Blue, Red, and Granny asked.

"Yeah," Snow said as if it was the most logical thing.

"There's just one problem with that," Emma said, "she can't hear."

"I bet Blue can help with that," Snow smiled and looked at the fairy.

"Um, I guess I could."

"I'll be right back," Emma sighed and left the room. She walked into the living room where Regina was sitting. Emma sat next to Regina and wrote down that she wanted Regina to join them because the others had a way to cheer her up. Regina groaned but agreed. Emma brought the women to Regina. She told the mayor that Blue was willing to fix her hearing. Regina nodded her head and Blue waved her wand, "well?"

"I can hear you," Regina said.

"That's great," Emma was far more excited than her partner.

"Regina, we want to take you out for a girls' night," Snow said.

"Why?"

"To cheer you up. We won't ask if you're alright. Well, if something happens like you bang your hand on something then we will," Snow rambled.

"If I go, will you leave me alone?"

"Sure," Snow said.

"Ask David if he'll stay with the boys," Regina stood and walked out of the room.

"Why do I feel like she's gonna rip her eardrums out by tonight?" Ruby asked.

"Because she might," Emma answered. The sheriff picked out an outfit for her girlfriend that night. They left with Snow when she and David arrived and met Granny and Red at a bar.

The moment she walked in, Regina felt all eyes were on her. "I need some air," Regina turned and walked out the door. Emma knew to give her a moment, so she sat at the bar with the others.

"You," an angry voice said.

Regina turned around, "Belle, Gold," she began to panic. She went to open the door, but Gold pushed it shut.

"You don't deserve to be walking around," Gold said. "I have every right to end your life right here and now."

"Fine, then I won't have to feel all this pain."

"What?" Belle was confused.

"Allegedly, the mayor had a miscarriage a few days ago. Apparently, it wasn't the first one. Though I doubt she was pregnant. She said so to get people to leave her alone."

"No, she was," everyone turned and saw Emma standing behind Belle. She pulled out her gun and pointed it at Gold. "Get away from her."

"Emma, was that the reason you were at the hospital that night?" Belle asked. "I was volunteering and saw you in a room. I didn't see who was in the bed."

"Regina nearly bled to death. Now she's standing on the edge of a cliff that your boyfriend is more than willing to push her off of. As if our boys haven't been through enough."

"Rumple, you need to leave," Belle said.

"Fine, let's go."

"No, I'm not going. I'm staying here and having a night out. You can't be here." Belle watched as Gold left angry and upset. "I'm sorry, Regina. I'll try to keep him away from you."

"Would you like to join us?" Regina asked.

"Really?"

"Sure," she held the door open for both Belle and Emma.

The women all sat at a table together, "want me to get my crossbow and stand watch at the house?" Granny asked.

"Thanks, but that won't do anything to him," Regina said. "Besides, Emma said that we have to rise above him."

"I wish he would just let go of the darkness. I thought he loved me," Belle said.

"He does love you," Regina said.

"But look at how much you changed when you met Emma."

"He's the dark one and I'm just a bitter, angry, person."

"Not really anymore," Snow said.

"Yeah, even I can tolerate you," Granny added.

"I may even like you," Red said.

"It's true," Blue said, "you've changed. I know who you use to be and Emma brought that Regina back. This is who you truly are. Sure you've been through a lot, especially the last nine years, but you stayed true. You didn't go dark."

Regina turned to Emma, "to hell with it. I want to try again."

Emma smiled, "I'd expect no less. I'm here with you every step of the way."

"Us too," Snow said and the others nodded.

"Blue," Emma had an idea, "is there any way you could help prevent a miscarriage?"

"I can look into it, but I've only ever read about spells that sped up a pregnancy."

"You don't have to," Regina said.

"I want to," Blue smiled.

Regina had a great deal of fun that night and so did everyone else. When they got home, Emma went upstairs to check on the boys. "I have a question for both of you," Regina said to David and Snow.

"Emma and I talked about getting remarried once the curse was broken and I'd like to know if we have your blessing?"

"Am I walking both of you down the aisle?" David asked.

Regina smiled, "no, just her."

"Well, if you need me too then let me know."

"Know what?" Emma asked.

"When we're getting remarried," Regina said.

"Well, our anniversary is coming up. Let's just do it then."

"You don't want to have to remember another date. Do you?"

"No," Emma laughed, "I don't want to wait."

On their original anniversary, Emma and Regina tied the knot in front of their friends and family. Emma took Regina on a honeymoon to relax before taking the next step that scared them both.
