Gold and David hurried to the vault and found that Snow and Henry had everything ready.

"Gold, you better do this," Snow said, "we can't afford to mess it up."

Gold began mixing the ingredients for the potion, "are you sure this will work?" Henry asked.

"It's never been used," Gold confirmed what Regina had suspected, "I don't think it would be in the book if it didn't work."

Once the potion was ready, the four rushed to Regina's. They found the woman wrapped in blankets and being held by Emma. The blonde was whispering to the ill woman. "Regina, they're here. I told you they'd make it in time."

Regina could no longer move or talk so she just groaned. "Emma, she has to drink every last drop of this," Gold said and handed her the vial.

"Regina, did you hear that?" Emma asked and the woman groaned. "I hope that means she did." Emma was relieved when Regina slightly opened her mouth. Emma gave her only a portion of the potion at a time. She didn't think Regina could take it all at once. It took a few minutes for Regina to finish the vial and she was barely able to. Everyone sat there for a moment, "nothing's happening." Emma noticed that even with the oxygen, Regina's breathing was quickly slowing down. "No, Regina, you are going to be alright. I promised you would be and you will." Emma felt herself becoming emotional. "Please, don't leave us...leave me. I need your help with Henry. He needs us to tag team." Regina stopped breathing, "I'm sorry I failed you," she whispered before placing a soft kiss on Regina's forehead. Everyone was in tears, even Gold.

Suddenly, Regina jerked awake and gasped, "mom!" Henry shouted.

"What happened?"

"Emma saved you," Gold said.

"How?"

"I noticed that you neglected to translate the last ingredient," he said.

"She said she didn't know what it was," Snow explained.

Regina was still in Emma's arms and had a shocked expression on her face, "she knew exactly. Didn't you, dearie," he smiled.

"Yes," Regina whispered.

"Why didn't you tell me? And what was it?" Snow was upset.

"True loves kiss," Regina said softly.

Emma nearly dropped Regina from the shock. David helped settle Regina against the pillows. "Maybe we should give the two of you some space?" he suggested. "We're going to pick up dinner."

"Wait," Regina said, "Gold, why did you help without attaching a price?"

"You absorbed enough toxic magic to kill you because of how much you love your son. You saw how afraid and upset he was. While you knew the risks, you still went to stop the curse without telling your son the potential consequences. You didn't want him blaming himself. You were a hero and I don't know. I guess I didn't want to see Henry that upset again by losing you."

"Thank you," Regina gave the man a watery smile.

"You're welcome," he said, "just don't let word get around. Then everyone's going to want me to do nice things."

"God forbid," Regina said.

After Gold, David, Snow, and Henry left, Emma decided to bring up the elephant in the room. "We have to talk about what just happened, but first, how do you feel?"

"It will take a little time for me to be back on my feet. I am able to breathe and see better. My body is still very exhausted and that might take a few days." Regina hesitated before continuing, "look, I honestly didn't know that you were...well, that you are...I mean..."

"It's okay," Emma said. "Here, let's get rid of this." Emma removed the oxygen from Regina. The glasses were already on her nightstand. "There's no one else here. Just us," she said softly.

"I didn't know that you are my true love. I thought that was Daniel. Don't worry because I'm not going to pursue it."

"Why not?"

"Well, um, do you want to?"

Emma leaned in and whispered, "well, why not?" The blonde placed a soft kiss on Regina's lips.

"Will you help me get rid of the Evil Queen?"

"If she weren't inside of you, I'd kill her myself for you."

"I feel like you'd do it for fun."

"I can do it for more than one reason."

It took two days for Regina to be able to get out of bed and another two for her strength to return. Emma was by her side the entire time to make sure she was still resting while she recovered. The two had become incredibly close in those four days, but life was about to throw them a curveball.
