Blueeyeddevil06, thank you for being my beta!
Beryl was sick of the redheads and their attitudes. Apparently, Elis had made her out to be a weak woman who just drifted around D Point accomplishing nothing. They each felt comfortable because they were keeping him well satisfied. She decided to enlighten them to the truth and put them in their place.
While he was off setting up his newest energy gathering scheme, something about clocks and time, she set her mind towards revenge.
She saw one of his women making her way through the halls, and she stopped to confront her. "What are you doing out of El's bed? I didn't know you had any other reason to be here."
She sneered, "Jealous? I heard you were his before he moved on to bigger and better."
Beryl rolled her eyes and pulled down the woman's top, "No bite marks. That I find funny." She then showed her the fading bruises saying, "You think you're keeping him happy. Pitiful." She was smiling when she walked away.
Elis sighed out. He knew so many people who rushed about expending energy constantly. People wasted all that time and energy in his mind. He was anticipating how much energy he could harness and put to good use. He would use what he gathered to gain power and take over the world. He would be King of Earth again. This time he would live forever.
He then turned his mind to looking for Endymion, his son. He texted his secretary with an excuse why she needed to scour the internet looking for him.
Sadly, he didn't have much to go on to give her. She couldn't search for someone who was a huge disappointment. Nor could she put in a search for a man who liked a dull woman.
He tried to give her criteria to search that could help, but he knew it would be a long shot by the end of the call.
His secretary was frustrated. She hadn't any idea how she was supposed to find someone who was very tall, with black hair, and a penchant for hanging around four friends. He had to be kidding, right?
The redheaded trio approached Beryl in the throne room. She wanted to laugh that apparently there was safety and stupidity in numbers.
"You think you're better than us because he bit you?!" One of them asked.
She rolled her eyes, "No, I am better, but I think he enjoyed me more because he likes to bite during sex."
"What's the difference?"
"I'd explain, but you wouldn't understand."
Redhead number two scoffed, "You're the stupid one. You won't have any power when he's ruling the world."
Beryl raised one eyebrow, she knew he wanted her out of the way, but this woman coming out and saying it was the height of stupidity. "Are you telling me he wants to double-cross me? Are you dumb enough to think he'd be pleased with you letting me know?" That drained all the color from the woman's face.
Redhead number three then said, "You're nothing. We aren't afraid of you! He told us that you don't have any power."
"You've given me a headache." She sighed out. As Beryl massaged her head, they kept snarking at her. She sighed out. She stood up and blasted them each with energy, knocking them back and killing them instantly. She then sighed in relief. "Much better, now it's quiet."
She looked forward to when Elis came back to discover them dead. That cheered her up considerably.
Ramwoir looked over her store and smiled. She was serving Elis well, and so many people were buying clocks. She rang up each purchase and grew excited. He said if she served him well, he would reward her.
A group of businessmen and women came in to buy wristwatches. Perfect.
Then she saw a blond with an odd hairstyle and a bluenette come in and look at an alarm clock that was in the shape of a black cat. They giggled, and the blond pulled out a credit card.
She smiled as she rang up the purchase and heard they would be showing their friends. Good. Soon the Negaverse would activate the crystals inside each that drew out the victim's energy.
Darien sat at his regular place at the Crown Arcade, with Andrew standing on the other side of the counter like normal. This time though, Kunzite sat to his right, and Rick was to his left. He felt comfortable surrounded by friends for the first time in his life. He realized too that the four of them there together was becoming a habit.
"So, how much are you hating girls' night tonight?" Kunzite asked.
Rick replied, "I assume each and every one of us feels the same way, including you."
Darien took a sip of his coffee and then set it down and said, "I hate it, and I love it at the same time. I don't like being away from her, but at the same time, I like that she can still be herself in our relationship. She knows I'd rather have her with me at night, but that I want her to have times like this."
"And that is one more instance where you're so changed from before," Rick said.
"Hey! I never would've gotten in her way," he objected.
Rick laughed loudly at that. "Not what I meant at all. You talking about feelings is still strange as hell to me. It wasn't until you started dating Serena that you displayed any bit of your personality. Then, shit, Stephen, David, and I all jumped into that fight on your side."
"Defending Serena?" Kunzite asked.
Andrew nodded, "Of course it was. I enjoyed being on the winning side."
"I first saw Molly that night."
"Yeah," Darien said, "And she liked watching you fight. It was why she said yes to going on a date with you."
Rick smirked and asked, "Why don't we start a fight again sometime soon. It seems like it would turn her on."
Kunzite rolled his eyes, "From what I heard on our hot springs trip, you don't have to worry about being able to get her to want you."
Darien almost choked on his coffee, "I was in the room next to you and Mina. Like you have any room to comment. She was screaming so loudly we had to leave the room."
Kunzite got a massive smile on his face. "I know. My girl's a screamer, and I know exactly what she likes."
Elis was working on his mental checklist. Now that his next scheme to collect energy was underway, he wanted to talk to Metalia. Surely she would tell him how to destroy Beryl. After all, he didn't believe she had a use for her anymore.
When he stepped into the throne room to head to the door that housed her, he surveyed the room and screamed out in a fury. His three redheads were lying there dead, scattered around the room. Beryl killed them. He spun and stalked towards where he assumed he'd find her. When he saw her sitting in her room waiting for him, he snarled out, "That won't get me to come to you for sex."
She rolled her eyes, "I wouldn't let you touch me, El. I just found them irritating. They gave me a headache. I feel better now."
He narrowed his eyes at her, "You go too far."
"So? What are you going to do about it?" She taunted.
He spun and slammed the door. He'd show her! He headed back to the throne room. He would give anything to get the information out of Metalia on how to kill Beryl.
In the end, it only took a piece of his soul. He considered that a small price to pay for discovering the way to her death. The necklace she wore held her life in it, and by destroying it, he could end her.
Soon all the power would be his, and he'd control D Point. He just wanted to figure out when the most satisfying time would be to strike.
