Two days later and after the party, which Regina didn't go to, Emma sat Snow, David, and Henry down at the table, "what's going on?" Snow asked.

"I have something to tell you all and it's not going to be easy," Emma said. Everyone realized how serious the news was, "I went to visit Regina to invite her to the party."

"She didn't come," David said.

"She couldn't," Emma said.

"Or wouldn't," Henry added.

"No, she couldn't. When I went to her house, she was weak and using a cane." Everyone became confused, "I had to help her up the steps. She told me that she hopes Henry will forgive her one day and that when that happens she wants me to remind Henry about how much she loved him."

"Loved? She doesn't love me anymore?" Henry asked angrily.

Emma began to cry, "kid, she loves you more than anything. That's why she did this to herself."

"Did what, exactly?" David asked.

"The curse that Gold put on the portal was deadly. Regina decided to absorb it to save us so that Henry could have a happy ending. Well, she said so he could have what she never had. Regina knew that by absorbing that magic, she was endangering herself."

"Emma, what's going on?" Snow asked with fear.

"Regina's dying."

"There has to be a way to help her," Snow said with desperation.

"She said that there isn't."

"I need to see her," Henry said.

"She doesn't want you to see what happens to her. I don't even know if she's still alive. It's been two days."

"We have to go check on her," Snow said.

Snow, David, and Henry got up and rushed out of the loft. Emma reluctantly followed, "this would have been so much easier if they didn't know where she lived."

Henry used his key to let everyone into Regina's. The woman slowly walked into the hall. Her hand that was gripping the cane was shaking, "what...the hell...are you...doing here?"

"I'm guessing it's in your lungs now," Emma said.

"Yes," Regina breathed out. She started to fall but David caught her. "I'm fine," she said as she tried to straighten up, "thank you."

David reluctantly let go as Regina shuffled into the living room. Emma sat next to her, "I'm sorry, but I couldn't keep this from them."

"I figured...you'd tell...them."

"We're going to try to find a way to cure you," David said.

"Why?"

"You're family," Snow answered.

"Has the curse reached your heart?" Emma asked.

"No, I...checked...this morn...ing."

Henry stayed back because it hurt to see his mother this way. "Why don't you let David carry you upstairs to your bed?" Emma suggested.

David stood and picked up Regina before she could answer. Snow grabbed the woman's cane and followed. Emma saw her son and walked over to hug him, "I didn't realize I still love her. Now, it's too late."

"We're gonna find a cure, Henry. I just know we will."

Snow pulled the blankets down and David gently placed Regina on the bed. Snow tucked the woman in and sat on the edge of the bed. "I'm sorry," Regina whispered, "for every...thing."

"I forgive you," Snow said softly.

"I forgive you too," David said.

Snow sat with Regina until she fell asleep. Emma went upstairs with Henry to sit with Regina while Snow and David went to speak with the Blue Fairy. "You want me to cure Regina?" she asked confused.

"Yes, please," Snow begged.

"I don't know if I can."

"We understand that you're hesitant, but we need to help her," David said.

"We don't have much time," Snow added.

"Alright, let me try to find a cure. Keep me updated on her condition."

"Thank you," Snow smiled and left with her husband. The couple picked up a few tanks of oxygen after leaving Blue. They then went home to pack a few things for everyone so they could stay at Regina's. The two sat in the living room with Henry while Emma stayed with Regina. A cloud of blue smoke appeared, "Cora," Snow said, "what are you doing here?
