Blue kept her guard up when she entered the mayor's home. "Did you figure it out?" Snow asked.
"Yes, but we need both light and dark magic to cure her. Combined they are both so powerful that they can cure Regina."
"I'll use my dark magic," Cora said.
"Good," Blue said, "then I'll use my light magic."
Everyone went upstairs. Blue stood on one side of the bed while Cora stood on the other. They placed their hands up in the air to combine their magic. Once they had accomplished that, they slowly lowered the magic until it was in Regina's body. The mayor's body lit up for a moment and there was a gust of wind. "Did it work?" Emma asked.
"There's only one way to find out," Blue said, "Cora is the only one here who can do that."
Cora knew what the Blue Fairy was talking about. She walked over and reached into Regina's chest to pull out her heart. "It's gone," Snow said. "There was a lot of green in there earlier and now it's gone."
Cora put the heart back and looked up at Blue, "thank you," she smiled, "I owe you."
"You don't owe me anything. If Snow and David were desperate to save Regina then I knew she had to have changed."
"We still need to find her true love," Emma said.
Cora and Blue shared a knowing look. Snow noticed, "do you both know who that is?"
"If you'll excuse me," Blue took the opportunity to leave since it was now a family matter.
"Her true love is in this room," Cora said.
Henry walked up to his mother and kissed her forehead. Nothing happened and everyone was stunned. Henry backed away and after a moment, Emma walked over to the bed. She leaned down and kissed Regina on the lips. It took a moment but Regina gasped and woke up. "What happened?"
"You're cured," Emma said, "Blue found a way. She and your mother cured you."
"My mother?"
"We'll give you two some time alone," Emma said.
Everyone left the room except Cora. "What are you doing here?" Regina asked.
"Well, I came to kill Rumple and take his power. I've changed my mind."
"Why?"
"When I arrived, I saw Snow and David here. They told me what had happened and that they were trying to cure you. When I saw you, I knew that I had more important things to do. Emma and I went to the vault, I put my heart in, and then you were cured."
"Did I die?"
"No, you didn't die."
"Then why did I lose consciousness and stop feeling pain?" Regina realized what had happened, "you placed a sleeping curse on me?"
"You were in so much pain that you wanted to die. I did that so you wouldn't feel the pain anymore. Then I placed a preservation spell on you to try and prevent the curse from reaching your brain."
"Wait," Regina came to another realization, "Emma was sitting on my bed when I woke up. Did she wake me up?"
"Yes," Cora answered.
"Mother, could you do me a favor?"
"Anything," she answered. When Regina was done asking for her favor, Cora left the room.
A few minutes later, Emma walked into Regina's room, "your mother said you asked for me."
"I wanted to apologize."
"All of that stuff is in the past and I forgive you."
"Well, that's not what I meant, but I am sorry about that too."
"Then what are you apologizing for?"
"That you woke me up. I'm sure that couldn't have been easy to grasp."
"Regina, you can't help how you feel."
"I didn't know I felt that way. Don't worry, I won't pursue you. Your mother would probably shoot me with an arrow."
"Why do you think I was able to wake you up? It's not just about who your true love is because you have to be your true love's, true love."
Regina looked at Emma in shock, "I don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything. We don't have to act on this if you don't want to, but I'd really like to."
"Well, hopefully, I won't be laid up much longer," Regina smiled.
