Later that same day, a mysterious boy comes to the island seeking help. Who is this boy? And why does he have such a strong connection with dragons? With the tyrannical Drago and his Bewilderbeast defeated, Hiccup has enjoyed his first year as the chief of a tribe at peace with its dragons and its neighbors. However, something strange happens and Hiccup feels… different. Astrid is displeased.

What if Hiccup had a disability that made him special in a sort of way nobody but a certain dragon could see? What if the dragon took him from his home to master that ability, in the process becoming who he was always supposed to be. The Dragon Master to some, the Deaf Demon Rider to others. What will happen when he is forced to confront a past that won't stop chasing him?
