Cora walked into the living room, "Regina, lunch is ready. I thought we could eat outside." Cora walked over to her daughter to help her stand. She took Regina's hand in one of hers and the arm in her other hand.
"Mother, stop," Regina said, "I can't."
Cora began to panic, "I'll just have to help you more."
"I don't know if you can support me anymore."
With a wave of her hand, Cora conjured up Regina's cane and handed it to her daughter. Between the cane and Cora, Regina was able to stand. "Just take your time, sweetheart."
It took a while but eventually, the two made it to the table in the backyard. Cora helped her daughter sit before taking a seat herself. "It's getting close."
"What is?"
"My time being up."
"You don't know that. None of us do."
"I can feel it."
"Regina, I am not going to let you die."
"I don't think we have a choice."
Emma and Snow walked over, "actually we do," Emma said.
"We figured out who placed the curse," Snow said.
"That's great," Cora said, "who?"
"Zelena," Emma answered.
"She's here?" Regina asked.
"Yep and she won't stop or reverse it," Snow answered.
"We'll see about that," Cora said and disappeared.
Emma looked at her wife and saw she was having trouble with her silverware, "honey, here." The sheriff sat and cut up her wife's food. "It's okay to ask for help."
"Like you ever would."
"Fair point."
David stayed with Regina after lunch. Cora was still gone and Zelena was nowhere to be found. "I need to go look for my mother," Regina said. Her voice had become shaky.
"I can't let you," David said, "besides, your mother is way more powerful than Zelena."
"Can you help me up?"
"Why?"
"My back is hurting. I need to stretch it some."
David helped Regina to her feet and held on. He noticed that something was off about the woman. "Regina, are you alright?"
"David," she gasped, "I think this is it."
David wrapped his arms around her as she began to collapse, "no, it's not. Don't worry, you're going to be fine."
Regina couldn't answer because breathing had become difficult. David called the Blue Fairy and asked for immediate transport to the hospital. She obliged and the two ended up in the emergency room. The hospital staff rushed Regina to a room and began working on her. David stayed out of the way but kept an eye on his daughter-in-law. He picked up his phone to do the one thing they were all hoping to avoid.
"Dad," Emma answered, "what's wrong?"
"Emma," David's voice was filled with emotion.
"No, she can't be gone."
"She's not, but we're at the hospital. Regina collapsed and can barely breathe."
"I don't know what to do."
"I would usually tell you to get the curse reversed because that will be more helpful to you, but I don't know how much time she has."
"I'll be right there."
David hung up and sent a mass text to the others. Cora was in Regina's office with Zelena when she received the message.
Cora looked at her phone and froze. "What's wrong, mummy?" Zelena asked sarcastically, "I know she's not dead because I can see her timer."
"What do I have to do to get you to stop this?" Cora was trying to keep her emotions at bay.
"Nothing because this is what I want."
Odette and Faline ran into the office, "where's mommy," the girls cried.
"What are you two doing here?" Cora asked as she crouched down.
"We heard mama on the phone with grandpa," Odette said.
"Please, gigi, don't let mommy die," Faline cried.
"Girls, I would love nothing more than to save your mother. The only person who can, won't."
Odette looked behind her grandmother and saw Zelena. She sniffled, dried her tears, and walked over to the woman. "I'll give you anything if you save mommy. I only have my toys so I can't pay you. You can have me serve you or take my heart, but don't take my mommy, please."
"I'll do the same," Faline said.
Zelena looked at the girls with their tear-stained faces. "I wish Aunt Zelena was here," Odette said.
"Mommy said she's very powerful. She could probably help mommy," Faline added.
"She's the Wicked Witch," Zelena said.
"Mommy said it's just because she's had a hard life. That she just needs love," Odette said.
"We would love on her if she would ever leave Oz," Faline added.
Zelena waved her hand and stopped the clock. "I'm so sorry," she told the girls. "I am your Aunt Zelena." She waved her hand again and the clock disappeared.
"Is mommy okay?" Odette asked.
"Yes, she's back to normal."
"Did you want one of our hearts and make the other serve you or both from us?" Odette asked.
"I would rather you take both from us so we can be together," Faline said.
"Wait, you're both still willing to give me your hearts and be my servants? Your mother is fine now."
"We told you we would give you those to save mommy. You saved her and now we owe you," Odette said.
Zelena walked around the desk and crouched down, "you know what I really want from you?" she asked and the girls shook their heads, "be each other's friend. Not just now, but forever. Be there for one another and never give up on each other. The bond between sisters is quite special and precious. If you have it then you have to hold onto it."
The girls smiled and hugged their aunt. Zelena was a bit shocked but relaxed into the hug with a smile. "Thanks, Aunt Zelena," the girls said, "we love you."
Zelena pulled out of the hug, "why?"
"You fixed your mistake," Odette said.
