Regina was discharged from the hospital a few hours after waking up. "You have no idea how good it feels to be able to walk into my own home without any help," Regina said.
"No, but I do know how great it feels to watch you do that," Emma said.
"Mommy!" the girls ran to their mother who crouched down. The girls were excited and knocked Regina over.
"I'm so happy to see you."
"She did it," Odette said, "she saved you."
"Who did?" Regina asked.
"Aunt Zelena," Faline answered.
"She listened to us and made you better."
Cora walked in cautiously with Zelena, "your daughters are extremely brave," Zelena said.
Regina quickly stood and blocked her daughters, "how dare you show your face here."
"We asked her to come, mommy," Odette said.
"I'm sorry for what I did to you. Your girls were very convincing. They offered their lives in exchange for yours."
Regina and Emma turned to stare at their daughters in shock, "you did what?" Regina asked angrily.
"We told her she could have our hearts or make us her servents if she saved you," Odette explained.
"Why would you do that?" Emma asked.
"They thought I would reverse the curse if I had someone else in exchange," Zelena answered. "Don't worry, I turned them down."
"She just wants us to always be friends and love each other," Odette said.
Regina turned back to her sister, "you said that?"
"Yes," Zelena answered.
"Why don't the three of us talk in private?" Cora suggested.
"Maybe I should come too," Emma said.
"Don't worry," Regina said, "I can hold my own."
"And if she needs help," Cora said, "she's got it." The three went to the backyard and sat around the table. "I would love for us to be a family, but there are some trust issues. I'm hoping that in time, those will go away."
"I'm willing to try if Regina wants to," Zelena said.
"I guess if mother and I can redeem ourselves then you can," Regina said. Zelena and Cora smiled. "It will take time. It took me about a year."
"It took less time for me," Cora bragged.
"All you needed was to put your heart back it," Regina explained, "it was hardly black and mine was really black. Therefore mine required more work."
"I don't know if mine's black," Zelena said, "could be green for all I know."
"The path to redemption isn't easy. You'll make mistakes. I did," Regina said.
"You did?"
"I listened to her when she didn't have her heart," Regina gestured to Cora.
"If you feel like you're going to stray, then remind yourself of what's really important to you. If you want love and a family then you have to let go of the Wicked Witch," Cora said. "If I can let go of the Queen of Hearts and Regina the Evil Queen, then you can let go of her."
"Thank you," Zelena said as tears fell.
"Now, would you like to meet the rest of my children?"
"How many more do you have?"
"Well, you've met Henry, Odette, and Faline. Just three more."
"I'd love to meet them."
Zelena fell in love with her nieces and nephews. Over time, everyone began to trust the witch more. Zelena didn't really feel the urge to return to her wicked ways. Her family was giving her everything she had ever wanted with no strings attached. Zelena was staying with her mother and step-father. Henry Sr. was more of a father to her than her adoptive father or missing biological father. She was constantly making amends for all she had done. Zelena loved her life and her family. Two things she never thought would be true.
