It took two more months for Regina to be able to go home. With physical therapy, she was able to use a walker but was still quite weak from her treatment. She needed someone with her all day. The arrangements she and Emma made with Graham and David would remain in place until further notice. Cora gave the couple some room to get settled. She told them to call if they needed anything. Emma wheeled Regina into the loft, "this may not be our home, but it feels so good to be out of there and back in Storybrooke," Regina said. Emma helped her transfer from the chair to the couch. She turned to leave and Regina took her hand, "Emma, the bags can wait."

"I just really want to get it taken care of."

"I know, but..."

"It won't take long." Emma pulled her hand out of Regina's grasp and grabbed their bags. The sheriff spent an hour avoiding the mayor. Regina had had enough. She used her walker to pull herself to her feet and slowly made her way towards the door. She left and went in the elevator down to the basement where the laundry room was. She saw Emma sitting on a machine.

"So this is where you're hiding?"

Emma's head shot up, "Regina, what the hell?" She hopped down and rushed to the mayor.

"It's been an hour, Emma."

"Let me put the clothes in the dryer and I'll be right up."

"I can wait."

Emma sighed and went to switch the clothes. After starting the dryer, the two women went back to the loft. "You're an idiot," Emma said, "I know you can get around, but that's too much walking."

"I'm fine, dear."

Emma led Regina into the loft, "just sit down and this time stay put."

"This time don't leave the loft to hide from me. Just go in the bathroom to cry."

"I wasn't crying."

"I've lost many things, but my sight is not one of them."

"Let me know if you need anything." Emma turned and went up the steps. Regina was at a loss. At the clinic, Emma always talked to her and stayed with her. Now it appeared that she couldn't wait to get away from her.

Regina and Emma had been at the loft for a week and things weren't any better. "Emma, can you come here for a moment? I really need to talk to you." Emma reluctantly walked over to the couch and sat on the floor. "I'm going to ask my mother to stay here with me so you can go home."

"When did you decide this?"

"You've barely spoken to me this entire week. I know you don't want to be here and I don't want things between us to get worse."

"Fine," Emma said angrily, "call your mom. I'm going to pack my things."

Regina felt her heart break when Emma didn't even put up a fight. Cora pulled Snow and David aside after Regina texted her.

"Regina sent me a message asking me to stay with her and that Emma was coming here."

"What?" Snow asked.

"Maybe Emma just needs a break and didn't want to ask," David suggested.

Cora and Snow looked at David like he was an idiot, "anyway, I'll talk to Regina and you try Emma," Cora said, "something happened and we need to make sure they fix it."

Everyone was surprised when Emma showed up at the house before Cora had even left. Cora teleported herself to the loft. She found her daughter on the couch, crying, "mother," Regina cried out. Cora rushed to the couch and sat before taking her daughter into her arms.

Once Regina had calmed down, Cora began making tea and sent Snow an update. She sat with her daughter after handing her tea to her, "do you want to talk about it?"

"That would certainly be something different. Emma has barely spoken to me this past week. She avoids me and only comes around when I need something."

"That doesn't sound like Emma."

"When I was at the clinic, we talked about getting married." Regina began to cry again and sat her cup down. Cora took her daughter into her arms and soothed her to sleep before texting Snow.
