Hello everyone, how's it been? Thank you to all those who left reviews ( neaucleareactor5, Demory, and InfamousGoose21) I really appreciated them and enjoyed reading them.
…
It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.
Chapter Six
I captured Sauron with little fanfare before releasing him so we could head back home. I had to pack my things before I would meet up with Gary and start my journey.
The path back was uneventful but gave me enough time to think and cool off. I wasn't in much of a rush to immediately start my journey since I had it mostly planned out with some time for visits of places I thought would be important to research.
When I got home, I was immediately greeted by Delia who had been waiting on the porch for me. She rushed towards me and gave me a tearful hug before herding Sauron and I back into the house.
When I walked through the door, I could see all of the things I laid out to pack in the living room. You couldn't even sit on the couch since it was full of clothes among other things. Surprisingly in this world, you really only needed two sets of clothes that you could have a water type wash and a fire type dry for you but I liked having a lot of clothes, and since my bag had enough space to put a semi truck in there, I was going to take advantage of that.
The ground was scattered with the empty notebooks I was going to bring with me as well as the colored sharpie pack. I was even going to bring my sword that I practiced with only because I wanted to beat Sauron in a fight.
The kitchen wasn't much better since there were hundreds of cans of food with non-perishables stuck in. I only had this much food because I knew Gary would pack a chocolate bar and call it a day.
There were also five 50-pound bags of basic poke food that could be mixed with berries if needed. Sauron, as an Aegislash, didn't need to eat but I was going to have more pokemon besides him like Charmander and I hated having to go to the store multiple times to buy the same thing every week.
Gathering up everything that needed to be packed and stacked, I released Charmander to meet my mother so that we could all eat breakfast before we left.
Charmander seemed to soak in the motherly attention Delia gave him and by the end of the meal he was on her lap purring from the endless head pats he was given. Smiling, I reached out and picked him up from her lap and held him in my arms before putting him down to give my mother one last hug.
Our heartfelt goodbye ended once I saw Sauron almost impatiently half way out of the door. Rubbing my cheek against hers, I released her from my hug and gave her a wave as I left the house.
When I shut the door, I crouched down and picked Charmander up since it seemed like he enjoyed being held. Hmm, I wonder if he likes the name Frodo.
Now, it was time to find Gary so that we could visit the Viridian City Gym.

Gary's Point of View
Sometimes, he couldn't help but look at Ash, her steel gray eyes always looked like she was entertaining a child when they were hanging out. It didn't stop him from hanging out with her though, she was one of the only people their age who didn't try to use him to get to his grandfather's fame. But, sometimes he felt like she saw him as a kid she was babysitting rather than an equal. Ash was only a few months older than him!
Whenever a stranger came into the town, they always confused him and Ash to be twins because of their similar auburn hair but even though they were raised together, he didn't see Ash as a sibling, he wanted something more. He wanted to be able to kiss the beauty mark at the corner of her eye, hold her when they watch movies, and have sword fights with pool noodles at 2AM. But she saw him as a little kid and he couldn't tolerate it. That's why he was hesitant about joining her for their journey. If they traveled separately then maybe she would start to see him as an equal than some kid.
Ash would never see him as an equal if he continued to constantly be with her.
She would never see his improvements if they were always together so he needed to make a drastic change, he needed to leave so that she would finally see him, and not some kid she knows.
He knew it was an asshole move to leave her there after saying that they would go together, but he wanted her to see how much he's grown up the next time she sees him, then, maybe they could be something more.
He walked to the spot they were supposed to meet up and tentatively left a letter at the tree they wrote there initials on before speed walking out of the scene of crime. Hopefully, he didn't regret it.
G.O & A.K
He needed to be far ahead of her, and he decided to go to Pewter Gym instead of Viridian like her plans. Hopefully, the next time they meet she will forgive him because he may not be able to forgive himself.
Taking one last glance at the letter, he sighed, before striding away. He needed to cover some ground before he officially meets his Squirtle.

Ash
Walking up to the spot I was supposed to meet Gary at, I was surprised to see he wasn't there. Huh, guess he's running late.
Crouching down, I let Charmander walk on the ground before I decided I might as well see what moves he had right now before I started to make his training journal. Some of my previous ideas about his training had to be replaced because of his condition.
Grabbing my orange themed pokedex, I inputted my password, before scrolling to the spot that allowed me to scan pokemon. Aiming the scan at Charmander, a robotic voice began to speak.
Charmander, the fire lizard pokemon. The flame on its tail indicates Charmander's life force. If it is healthy, the flame burns brightly.
This Charmander is male and is three months old. It knows the moves Growl, Scratch, and Ember.
This Charmander suffers from the mutation known as Prolonged Evolution Disorder, which commonly occurs when dragon types crossbreed.
Charmander seemed to sink when the pokedex mentioned his condition but I decided now would be a good time to see if he liked the name.
"Hey Charmander, what do you think of the name Frodo? I was thinking about giving you a name if you would like one." I said, rubbing at the back of my head before giving the fire type a bashful smile.
"Charmander!" Char-, no, Frodo, exclaimed his agreement. It feels weird having a magical super animal talk but I'll get used to it eventually.
Standing back up, I grabbed my Pokedex before inputting Charmander's name into his profile before going back to the scanner so I could see Sauron's moves.
Pointing the scanner at Sauron, his description came on immediately.
Aegislash, the Royal Sword Pokemon and the evolved form of Doublade. Stories say Aegislash can detect the natural qualities of leadership, recognizing a true king.
This Aegislash is male, and is older than 150 years, need more data to find out the exact age. This pokemon knows the moves Swords Dance, Iron Head, Shadow Ball, Close Combat, and Sacred Sword.
It was nothing surprising, I had a feeling Sauron would be the most powerful member in my party. I just wasn't expecting him to be older than Professor Oak, I thought Sauron was like 40 or something. Not over 150!
Just wow.
But where the hell was Gary? It's been an hour and he still isn't here. I was starting to get a little worried for him. It wasn't like him to be so late, if anything, I was always the late one. I started to pace, the little crunch of dry twigs and leaves filled in a background noise for me.
Walking up to the tree we were supposed to meet at, I saw a note.

There we go, Chapter Six is out. I'm not gonna lie to you, I was super close to having Gary travel with Ash but a thought suddenly struck me and I decided to have him go on his own solo journey. Don't worry, the tags for this book are Adventure and Friendship, not just Romance.
Here's the Pokemon Ash has and their moveset.
Aegislash (Sauron): Swords Dance, Iron Head, Shadow Ball, Close Combat, and Sacred Sword.
Charmander (Frodo): Growl, Scratch, and Ember.
*Frodo has Prolonged Evolution Disorder which as the name states, he will not be a Charizard until MUCH later. However, think of it like this, slow and steady will win the race or battle in his case.
