I'm actually curious if anyone realizes where most of these quotes are coming from? Special shoutout to whoever realizes it first and puts it in the reviews. So I finally got a hate comment, and it's about damn time. Like, come on now, lay it on me thick if you're gonna hate. Do you know how long I've been waiting for this milestone? Thank you, Guest, I'm glad to know I'm important enough to hate on. You actually brought a smile to my face, thanks for making my day. And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I am grateful that you spent your time commenting on my fic.

Anywhore, let's move on to the update. Ash now has Meowth, a criminal from Team Rocket as a pokemon. Should she keep him or let Professor Oak use and study him?

"Most powerful is he who controls his own power. "

Chapter Thirteen

After Jessie and James escaped, I was ready to leave Viridian. We spent the first few days of our trip here and there was nothing left for us. I captured Meowth, the little shit, and spent hours staring at his Pokeball wondering how much the plot was affected.

After a while, and Sauron's insistence of me to be productive, I decided that plot didn't matter that much and me being here already changed it. It would be cowardly if I tried to be exactly like Ash in order to keep things as I remembered.

I already lived one life without knowing the future, and I didn't need to depend on something as uncertain as this life's future.

I mean, I'm still going to raid Grandpa Canyon and other events but I'm not going to rely on what I saw in the anime to save my life. This was my reality, not a cartoon.

It was a bit random, but it was necessary to think about it and what I was going to do about it. It would be terrible if I decided to worship fate and destiny without allowing myself to grow. I firmly believe that everyone is in charge of their actions and if I let someone get hurt just because I didn't want to step out of my box, I would be the worst kind of coward.

So, after my gloom fit about the plot and fate, I decided I didn't give a shit and I didn't need Talk-no-Jutsu from Naruto to make me understand. Sauron was right that I wasted a lot of travel time thinking about it.

On the same day that Team Rocket attacked the PokeCenter, we left hours later. Well, we left after Officer Jenny interrogated us and Nurse Joy thanked us.

We didn't need to buy anything or stock up since we've been staying at the PokeCenter for our stay. Meaning our food and potions weren't used up yet.

It was time to let the rest of my team experience the real world since we've all been cooped up in this city for too long.

Walking out of the city felt completely different than walking in. Watching people pass you by and eventually hearing the city become quieter and quieter was a relieving feeling. When we eventually stopped walking past houses, we saw the farewell sign and once I saw it, I grabbed Legolas and Frodo's pokeballs and tossed them in front of me.

Bright white lights encompassed their bodies before the pokemon revealed themselves.

Legolas appeared with his arms crossed, frowning, probably hangry or maybe it's just his resting face. His entire posture screamed that he didn't want to deal with anything or anyone.

Frodo, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. When he was out of his pokeball he raised his little arms in a cheer and kicked the pokeball away from him, while it was in the air, I stepped towards the side to catch it. I was kind of surprised with how energetic Frodo was, usually, he was nervous and afraid of socialization. Were pokeballs that bad?

I'll have to ask them about it later. It might just be a personal preference.

Smiling, I crouched down and hugged them both in my arms. The little cutie pies needed some love and affection.

While Frodo melted into the hug and even tried to hug back with his stumpy little arms, Legolas tensed and looked extremely awkward. Eventually, when I separated from them I got up and rubbed their little heads.

"Important news Gentlemen."

When all of my pokemon looked at me, I continued.

"It's time for our official training to start."

Immediately, their faces screamed of happiness or resignation, or in Sauron's case, a double blink.

I felt my smile grow wider as I continued to explain. " We haven't trained at all and I was thinking about having us train on our journey when we walk from place to place."

Legolas's little green face twisted in an expression of displeasure, no doubt that he's not looking forwards to this new brand of torture.

Smirking, I tapped Frodo's chest and shouted, "Training starts now!"

And I started running straight ahead, ignoring the pidgeys and caterpies that tried to dodge our chaos.

Hearing Frodo's laughter as he chased after me would always be something that I'd look forward to and work hard to hear often.

After our impromptu game of tag, we were all exhausted an hour later after the constant running.

I pulled out my orange Pokedex, curious to see how far along we were on our route. Now, I've never been the best at maps or directions in general. But I was pretty sure we were lost.

There were no roads around us and the Pokedex wasn't offering any suggestions on where we were supposed to go. (I was gonna have to let Professor Oak know about this with some tips on how to improve the dex).

It was just my luck to get everyone lost. The pixelated screen in my hands didn't show my position in the woods like it usually did, meaning, I somehow wandered into an area Professor Oak didn't map out. Which also meant that we could be in a dangerous territory of some carnivorous pokemon.

Sauron hovered next to me when he heard my breath start to quicken and looked at the map that was causing this panic, when he realized that we were lost he changed his stance from his default Shield position to an Offense position.

Looking down towards my two baby pokemon, I could tell they were starting to sense my unease. Frodo looked like he was about to start panicking and Legolas had his arms crossed with an unimpressive look plastered on his face. Sighing, I realized that I needed to explain what was happening to the two of them and keep them in the loop.

Crouching down, I stared at my younger members and when I had their undivided attention, I started, "We're lost-" Legolas snorted with a tone that basically screamed 'no duh', shooting him a look, I continued, "We are in uncharted territory and I need you two to be on defense in case there may be unfriendlies. Can you guys do that for me?" Reaching my head out I rubbed the top of their heads when they nodded nervously.

Smiling, I continued, "You don't need to worry though, if there's any real danger Sauron and I will protect you. Do you guys want to continue walking with us or would you like to be recalled back into your pokeballs?" When Legolas walked up to me I expected him to want to go back into his pokeball so I reached for my belt where it was located but while I was looking down, Legolas grabbed my face in his tiny teal hands and when I looked up, it was into his eyes and he seemed to be searching for something in my face. After a few seconds, he released my face and strode ahead of us on the trail. His answer was clear, he was going to continue.

Schooling my facial expressions, I turned back to Frodo, who seemed to be nervously shifting on his feet, opening my mouth, I was going to tell him not to sweat it and he can come back out with us once we found our way out of this territory but he beat me to it by giving me a huge hug. His little orange arms circled around my neck before he rubbed his heated cheeks against mine in what resembled what the dragon/flying type known as Salamence would do when reassuring their family members.

I couldn't help the upward tilt to my lips when Frodo was trying to reassure me when he was the one who was more scared. He really was an adorable little orange bean.

Sauron was the one who ruined the fluff fess with a reminder that we needed to cover more ground before we lost daylight. Slowly, Frodo released me from his hold and gave me a fanged smile of his own, his white pointed canines glowing in the daylight.

Giving him another head pat, I stood back up and my team resumed our journey, briefly, my mind flashed to the talking Meowth I captured and I wondered if I should've let him out and introduced myself earlier, but, there was no time now to go through the power play process and introduce ourselves. My team would be enough.

Here's the Pokemon Ash has and their moveset.

(Male) Aegislash (Sauron): Swords Dance, Iron Head, Shadow Ball, Close Combat, Sacred Sword, and King's Shield.

(Male) Charmander (Frodo): Growl, Scratch, and Ember.

*Frodo has Prolonged Evolution Disorder which as the name states, he will not be a Charizard until MUCH later. However, think of it like this, slow and steady will win the race or battle in his case.

(Male) Shiny Snivy (Legolas) : Overgrow, Tackle, Vine Whip, Attract, and Leaf Tornado.

(Male) Meowth: Scratch, Fury Swipes, Pay Day, Bite, and Taunt.

I fully believe that Meowth would be the master of shit talking and that he was born with taunt as a move.

Now that we have so many team members, it would be important to train them. So, we shall wait a while before Ash captures a team member not meant for trading.
