Henry is now ten years old and Remy is nine and a half. The boys showed Regina the fairytale book that Mary Margaret had given them. Regina flipped through the pages and came upon one that listed the name of the Savior. She froze and dropped the book before running out of the house. Her boys were both confused. Regina went to Gold's shop, "did you know?"

"Know what?" he asked.

"Emma's the Savior."

"Really?"

"Don't play dumb with me. You knew the whole time, didn't you?"

"Well, you've got me there. Now that you know, you can take action."

"What do you mean?"

"She needs to break the spell."

Regina's eyes widened, "what?" she said softly, "she can't. Then she'll know everything and I'll lose her. She's my boys' mother and my..."

"Your what? Your true love?"

Regina left the shop and went home. On the walk back, she kept trying to figure out a way around this. Maybe it's best if the curse does end? Maybe it would be good for them? Regina arrived home and walked inside to the sound of Emma playing with the boys. The sound put a smile on her face that quickly faded. She knew what she was about to do and hated herself for it. Regina walked into the living room to find the three running around and goofing off. "What the hell is going on here?!"

All three stopped dead in their tracks and stared at Regina, "honey, relax," Emma said, "we're just playing."

"Yeah, well, your playing could break something. This is so typical of you."

"Excuse me?"

"You have always been the fun parent who acts more like their friend than their mother."

"That's not true!"

"Grow up, Emma."

"What is your problem?"

"My problem is that I'm in a relationship with someone who is completely childish."

"Hey, no one is forcing you to stay with me."

"You're right about that. Get your things and leave my home as soon as possible."

"What?"

"We're through, Emma."

Regina walked to her office and locked the door behind her. She sank to the floor and began to silently cry. She needed to get Emma away from her and out of Storybrooke. Even if it meant losing her boys. She couldn't let Emma have another heartbreak because of her misdeeds.

Emma ended up staying with Mary Margaret. The boys would try and visit, but Regina limited their time with Emma. She did that in the hopes that they would be angry enough to leave with the sheriff. Unless she couldn't get Emma to leave.

"Henry, these are fairytales. They're not true," Emma told her son.

"Yes, they are. You're the savior. The daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Mary Margaret and David are your parents and mom is the Evil Queen."

"It says that the Evil Queen wants to kill us. Why would your mom break up with me instead of just killing me?"

"Maybe the curse will still break if she kills you. She doesn't want you to know what she did. Please, mama, I need your help."

"Alright, I'll help you, but just remember that this is probably not real."

"Okay," Henry smiled.

Emma had decided to leave Storybrooke with the boys, but then she changed her mind. She felt the boys would be better off with someone more stable than her. Emma told Regina she was leaving and would drop the boys off on her way out of town. Regina gave the blonde an apple turnover for the road. When Emma returned to the loft, Henry took a bite and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital and Emma saw red once Regina showed up. She threw her ex against a medical supply rack and cabinet.

"That apple turnover you gave me, what was in it?" Emma yelled.

"Why?"

"Henry ate it and collapsed after."

"He...he ate it?"

"It's all true, isn't it? Isn't it?!"

"Yes," Regina said emotionally.

"You were going to kill me to stop me from breaking the curse."

"It was a sleeping curse. I wanted you to fall asleep so I could protect you."

"You expect me to believe that?"

"I couldn't let you and the boys find out. I knew if I made you angry enough, you'd leave town. Then you decided to stay."

"I would have taken the boys."

"You said you were dropping them off before leaving town."

"I was having second thoughts."

"That was a price I was willing to pay if it kept you all from discovering the monster I am. I wanted you to take them."

"Now what?"

"I don't know."

Emma and Regina went about finding a way to save Henry.

They were too late. Henry was gone. Emma walked into her son's room to say goodbye. She kissed the ten-year-old on the forehead. The whole town, Emma included, felt the curse break and Henry gasped as he woke up.

"You did it!" He said with a smile.

"What's going on?" Emma asked when she saw how weird everyone was being.

"They're remembering," Henry explained.

Emma felt a chill when Mother Superior told Regina that she had better go into hiding. The mayor ran out of the room and didn't look back.
