They ended up having to sedate Regina. Emma had her parents and sons come to the room after Regina was out. They noticed that there was only one bassinette.

"Where's the other baby?" Henry asked.

"I need you all to sit," Emma said. Once everyone was seated on the couch, Emma sat on a chair. "The other baby didn't make it. She was stillborn."

"What happened?" Remy asked.

"The umbilical cord wrapped around her neck while she was in the birth canal."

"How's Regina?" David asked.

"A mess," Emma answered, "that's why they sedated her. We both held the baby and it just destroyed her."

"How are you?" Snow asked her daughter.

"Regina has been through so much this past year and now this happens. I hate seeing her in so much pain. I am so grateful, and I know she is too, that Odette survived. That doesn't change the fact that one of our daughters died. It's so painful."

"We're all here for you," David said, "both of you and the boys."

"Can we see the baby?" Henry asked.

"Sure," Emma walked to the bassinette.

"No, I mean we want to see her too. Can we see the other baby?"

Emma paused and noticed her mother about to speak up, "sure," Emma whispered. She asked the nurse to bring her stillborn into the room in a blanket. The nurse handed the baby to Emma who then took her late daughter to her family. The boys and her parents held the little one she had named Hope Angel Mills. Once the baby was taken away to prepare for burial, Emma introduced the family to Odette.

"How did Regina come up with the name?" Snow asked.

"She never had the chance to explain it to me. I just know she gets her middle name from you."

"That was very sweet of her."

"Dad, can you do me a favor?"

"Sure, sweetheart, anything."

"Will you make sure the nursery is set up for one baby? I don't want Regina to go home to a nursery for twins."

"Sure, that won't be a problem."

"We'll leave and let you rest," Snow said, "let us know if you need anything."

After her family left, Emma placed Odette in her bassinette before taking a seat on the couch. She put her head in her hands and cried for baby Hope.

Three days after giving birth, Regina was discharged. She had barely spoken and Emma was worried. Regina wasn't eating much but was caring for Odette. The boys and Emma's parents were at the house to welcome the new baby home.

"Emma wasn't able to tell us how you came up with the name Odette," Snow said.

"Odette is the name of the Swan Princess," Regina said. "It was my way of naming her after Emma."

Emma placed an arm around Regina, pulled her closer, and kissed her temple. That was honestly the most Regina had said in three days. Little did they know how much worse things would continue to get.
