Regina and Emma had indeed decided to not find out the gender of the baby Regina was carrying. David knew so he could plan ahead for Rothbart's next move. Regina was nearly nine months along and no one had heard a peep from Rothbart. He hadn't raped anyone else either. Emma and David were out one night responding to a call while Snow and Regina stayed home with the kids.
"Did he finally go down?" Regina asked when Snow reappeared.
"Oliver is so stubborn," Snow sighed as she sat next to the mayor.
"Gee, I wonder where he gets that," Regina said sarcastically.
"Oh, you are just a riot."
Regina heard a noise and panicked, "what was that?"
"What?"
"Didn't you hear that?"
"I didn't hear anything." Snow knew that Regina had been on edge lately as they waited for Rothbart to strike.
"I wish Emma and David were here."
Suddenly a cloud of red smoke appeared and when it was gone, there, in the middle of the living room, stood Rothbart. "Too bad they're out on that 'call,'" he said.
"That was you?" Snow asked.
"I had to keep them away somehow."
"You didn't get me out of the way."
With a wave of his hand, Rothbart had Snow tied to the wall. "I knew that no one would leave her alone so I did what I could." Snow saw Regina tense up as Rothbart walked over to her. He placed his hands on her stomach and frowned. The next thing they knew, Rothbart had slapped Regina across the face. "You can't do anything right. Another girl," he was furious. "Well, you're just going to have to keep doing this until I have a son."
"That would be me," everyone turned to find Remy standing there.
Rothbart turned towards Regina, "you said that you miscarried." He slapped her again, "lying whore."
"Don't touch her!" Remy yelled.
"Son, one day you'll learn that you have to do things you don't want to do to keep people in line. Although it's not hard to do that to the Evil Queen."
"She's not evil!" Remy yelled.
"Yeah!" Odette appeared beside he brother.
"She survived?" Rothbart questioned, "Rumplestiltskin is stronger than I thought." Rothbart waved his hand and turned Odette into a swan, "boy, this brings back memories."
Unfortunately for him, Odette was a strong sorceress. She flapped her wings and sent a strong wind towards Rothbart. It caused him to be unbalanced and Remy was able to free his grandmother. Emma, David, Rumple, and Neal ran into the room. Henry had sent them a message the moment he heard Rothbart. Rumple slapped the cuff on Rothbart to block his magic. The sorcerer tried to remove it but it was no use. He turned and saw Snow with her bow and arrow drawn. David and Neal pointing their swords and Emma aiming her gun at him. It was Rumple who finished him off with the help of Odette and Remy. The three used their magic to turn the evil sorcerer into dust. Emma swept up the dust and threw it into the fireplace where Regina threw a fireball. Emma rushed to hug her lover, "are you alright?"
"Yes, thank you, all of you," she said.
"I told you we'd get him," David said. Regina waved him over and the man leaned down to hug her, "I've got you."
"Good, because while he was threatening us all, my water broke."
"Hold on," Gold said before transporting them all to the hospital. Emma went with Regina while everyone waited in the waiting room. Neal had stayed at the house with the kids. Belle had gone over in the event he needed help and Gold joined them.
Regina was in labor for six hours before she could push. She pushed for two hours and the baby still wasn't out. It was too late to do a cesarean because the infant was in the birth canal. Regina pushed with all her might for twenty more minutes before a cry was heard. "Honey, we have another little girl," Emma said.
"Is she alright?" Regina mumbled.
"She's..." Emma turned to look at Regina, "honey, are you alright? Regina, answer me!"
"Emma, you need to leave the room," the doctor said, "if you want us to save her you need to leave."
Emma left but not before seeing all the blood Regina was losing.
