Author's note- July 2021

Hello everyone,

First, I just want to say thank you to every single person who has read my work, commented, followed along on Marion's adventures. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that you have stuck with me, and my ramblings, and my horrid treatment of some of these characters (as previously mentioned- I really am sorry about James!) You are all amazing, incredible readers, and I especially hope that everyone is taking care of themselves and healthy right now as the pandemic still rages on. Stay safe, treat yourself well, we all deserve love, respect and kindness right now after all the world has been through, so make sure you know you are amazing!

As I'm sure many of you will know, lockdown has been a long and tough time, I can only speak from experience of the UK's lockdown, of how frustrating, isolating and disappointing these last 18 months have been. If you are anything like me, you will also be fast running out of Netflix to watch!

However, it has also given me time to finally get through some of my to-be-read list (yay!), and also re-read through all of my work. At the time of writing AHJ, I was so wrapped up in the story, and getting to the next part, that I didn't always notice when I left huge plot holes, endless grammatical errors, and inconsistent characters in my wake. Lockdown has finally given me time to go back through, re-plot and re-think through Marion's story.

Therefore, after much planning, revising, and re-reading, I have finally decided that Marion's story will be re-written. I don't plan on changing many major things, most of the main plot will stay exactly the same, but a few details will be tweaked. Particularly, part 1 and 2 will be revised, and a few aspects of their plot changed. Parts 3, 4, and 5 will remain mainly unaltered, maybe with just a few grammatical corrections, and very minor details amended. Most of AHC will not be amended, other than the Christopher chapter, which sadly no longer fits in the new timeline. I once again want to say a huge thank you to everyone who read the original version of this story, and followed along on Marion's journey. I truly hope she will forgive me for all I'm about to put her through again (I'm so sorry Marion, I promise you will still get your happy ending!)

This is all a long winded way of saying that I will be taking down AHJ, and re-posting it over the next year. I will leave the story up until the end of August, and hopefully begin re-posting a much improved version in September.

As always, I'm open to feedback, good and bad, and particularly now, when I'm still re-drafting plot points and mapping out the story, so if anyone wants to reach out with suggestions, please do! (Although, chapter 21 of AHR will be staying the same, no matter what. Sorry.) Send me a message on here or Tumblr (generic-fangirl-97) if you have a suggestion, query, or even just to say Hello, I don't bite.

I hope you all stick with me as I re-live all of Marion's adventures (god, this is going to be painful!) and thank you all once again for reading!

Take care!
