Chapter 35: The Rise of Iron Boy
While Danny and Violet were in Metroville, Tucker's parents were driving him and Velma Dinkley to Casper High. "Tucker, do you really need that "armor"?" Velma asked her boyfriend.
"With Danny out of town, Amity Park needs another protector in case of a ghost attack, Velma." Tucker bragged. "And who would be better than Iron Boy?"
"The Ghost Blasters." Tucker's Mom answered.
"Jack and Maddie Fenton." Tucker's Dad added.
"The Red Huntress." Velma added.
"Is everyone against me?" Tucker moaned.
"And you won't wear it to my gang's graduation party." Velma demanded.
"Velma, I thought you and your friends were homeschooled." Tucker commented.
"My parents and theirs rented a place and we'll hold the party there by next week, Tucker." Velma said. "Consider yourself invited as my plus one."
"Count me in, Velma!" Tucker exclaimed and then looked at his parents. "Assuming my folks let me go."
"Sure, son." Mr. Foley replied.
"Just don't wear that phony Iron Man armor there, Tucker." Mrs. Foley added.
"What if a ghost goes there as well?" Tucker asks in worry. He just wanted an excuse to wear the armor but, as Danny Phantom's sidekick, he couldn't help but worry about that.
"You may take a Fenton Thermos with you but I doubt we'll find any real ghosts there, Tucker." Velma stated.
"Uh, should I be concerned that you put emphasis on the word 'real'?" Tucker asked. He knew Velma and her friends unmasked more phony ghosts than he bothered to keep track of, even not counting those who pretended to be other kinds of supernatural creatures but were called ghosts for a reason Tucker failed to understand, but it still bothered him that his girlfriend was so casual about those cases.
"Well, you never know when you'll get involved in a mystery just by being at the right place at the right time but no, you shouldn't." Velma answered.
At the graduation ceremony, Tucker was soon spotted. "Look!" Paulina exclaimed. "It's Iron Geek!"
"It's Iron Boy, Paulina." Tucker corrected the shallow cheerleader.
"Too much of a wimp to be a man." Dash Baxter mocked the techno geek.
A ghost then phased his way in. "BEWARE! I am the Box Ghost, master of all things cardboard and square!"
"Get lost." Dash said. "Everyone already knows you're all bark and no bite."
"No bite?" The Box Ghost asked. "I wanna see you say that after I unleash the contents of this box." He said and opened a white box but nothing came from it. "Uh, hello? Mr. Monster? Why don't you come out?" Nobody else heard whatever the monster said in response but it seems the Box Ghost heard something. "What do you mean I'm not your Mom?"
"Is Baby Sinclair in there?" Tucker asked and practically everyone laughed at that.
"Please put that ghost inside your thermos, Tucker." Velma asked her boyfriend. "I'm not scared but I'm annoyed."
"Me too, Velma." Tucker replied and sucked the ghost.
"Thank you, Mr. Foley." Mr. Lancer said.
"I also appreciate what you did but you're still not wearing your Iron Boy armor to my graduation." Velma added.
"Awwww." Tucker moaned.
"So, what do we do with this box?" Velma asked as Mr. Lancer picked it up.
"It says here that the box is property of Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California." The Vice-Principal commented upon reading from the box. "I'll mail it to them."
"Knowing the Box Ghost as well as I do, probably that box was used in some monster movie and that made him expect to find a real monster inside it." Tucker commented.
Afterwards, Principal Ishiyama started handing out the diplomas. "Daniel James Fenton already picked up his diploma early and left to attend his girlfriend's graduation party." She said. "Dashiell Baxter, you could be going to Metropolis University but threw it all away for a swirlie." She scolded her former student.
"How were Dale and I supposed to know the university's representative would be using the bathroom at the time?" Dash asked.
Principal Ishiyama was so frustrated she pinched her nose. "Just pick up your diploma, Mr. Baxter. You'll be lucky if Backupsmore accepts you."
When it was Tucker's turn to receive his diploma, Principal Ishiyama had a more pleasant expression. "Good luck at the M.I.T., Mr. Foley."
"Whoever evaluates applications there doesn't read dating service forums." Star commented and those near her laughed. Tucker's girlfriend Velma didn't hear the comment because she was applauding him.
Principal Ishiyama also congratulated Kwan for getting accepted into Metropolis University. As she kept calling student after student, Paulina noticed something odd. "Hey!" She protested. "You skipped my name!"
"No, I didn't, Ms. Sanchez." Principal Ishiyama replied. "You didn't graduate because you skipped the last week of classes and thus a final test."
"Who gives tests during the last week of class?" Paulina asked in protest.
"I give." Mr. Falluca answered.
"There should be a law against that!" Paulina shouted.
"Paulina, stop making a spectacle." Her father ordered.
"And you'd better get a summer job to pay for that Edna Mode dress we bought for you when you made us think you'd already graduated." Her mother added.
'A-Listers being publicly humiliated?' Sam thought in joy. 'This is my best graduation ever! Danny doesn't know what he's missing!'
"Valerie, is there an opening for her at the Nasty Burger?" Tucker asked Valerie with a smirk.
"Nooooooooo!" Paulina screamed in horror. "All that grease won't be good for my perfect skin!"
"It's not that perfect, Paulina." Sam retorted.
"Shut up, Manson!" Paulina demanded.
"No, Paulina." To her surprise, it was her own father who said that. "You shut up. You're reaping what you sow. We are going home right now."
After the ceremony, Tucker and Sam went home and started an on-line chat with Danny, who had already returned to Fentonworks. "So, Paulina didn't graduate and tried to blame it on the school for having the students take a test during the last week of class?" Danny asked.
"Yes." Sam cheerfully answered. "The highest point of the night."
"What about your girlfriend's party, Danny?" Tucker asked. "Did any supervillains show up? We only had the Box Ghost and everyone at Casper High already learned not to be afraid of him."
"No, no supervillains." Danny answered.
"Did things become awkward with Violet's ex-boyfriend and one of your past dates being there?" Sam asked.
"Not at all, Sam." Danny proudly answered. "I'm happy to see she ended up with a nice guy. What did the Box Ghost do?"
Sam and Tucker eagerly told Danny about the "monster" box. "No wonder nobody at Casper High fears him anymore." He commented. "Tucker, did you really wore your Iron Boy armor to the graduation?"
"Yes, Danny." Tucker proudly answered.
"And Velma still wants to be your girlfriend?" Danny mockingly asked.
"Yes." Tucker answered with a frown.
"But she told him not to wear the armor when she and her friends celebrate their graduation." Sam added.
"That figures." Danny commented.
"So, now that we're going to separate colleges, does that mean the end of Team Phantom?" Tucker sadly asked.
"Well, we can still be pen pals or have online chats like this one but I'm afraid the only help you'll be able to give me will be with Sam's knowledge of supernatural stuff and Tucker's technological expertise." Danny awkwardly answered.
"Count on me, Danny!" Both Tucker and Sam said at the same time.

OMAKE: The Wheel of Morality
At a Warner Brothers water tower, Dot Warner was happy to have her pet monster back. "Mommy missed you." She commented.
"Sibs, it's time again." Yakko Warner stated.
"Time to call Luiz4200 lazy?" Wakko Warner asked.
"No, that's Deadpool's job." Yakko answered.
"Time to remind the readers I'm a cutie?" Dot asked.
"You already did." Yakko answered with a disgusting face. "It's time to spin the Wheel of Morality but this time each one of us will have a turn. By order of age."
"I wonder what happened to ladies first." Dot muttered and frowned.
Yakko spun the wheel and got his moral. "Fanfics help you being remembered but you aren't paid for appearing in them."
"How deep." Wakko commented.
"It leaves a feeling inside me." Dot said. "Or perhaps I ate too much."
"My turn!" Wakko said. "Poorly made crossovers can ruin franchises."
"That's a moral for Luiz." Yakko stated.
"My turn!" Dot said. "Don't overuse gags." She then frowned at me. "Is that some criticism?"
Yes.
End omake.
