"RAVENCLAW!"
The hat's voice boomed over the now silent great hall with everyone likely surprised as the son of a former dark lord wasn't sorted into the house of snakes a house well known for producing dark wizards. Hadrian's robes swiftly changed into the house of knowledge colors blue and bronze. This seemed to snap everyone out of their stupor and his new housemates began to clap politely for their new edition however it was noticeably less enthusiastic than those who were sorted in before him. He found a seat between two fellow first years, a brown-haired boy named Terry Boot and a blonde girl named Lisa Turpin they both were apprehensive once he sat but after some friendly greetings, they seemed to warm to him if only a little.
Hadrian was one of the last to be sorted so the ceremony quickly finished not long after him with the remaining two, one going to the lions and one to the snakes. The headmaster stood to address the hall, Hadrian couldn't suppress the wince when the old goat said they had to sing the Hogwarts song so naturally, Hadrian blocked it out hoping upon hope this wasn't a school for singing in secret. He honestly blamed his father as from a young age he often heard him listening to muggle music, classical music specifically, even though the elder Grindelwald disliked muggles he always appreciated their classical music...only classical music Hadrian still remembers that one time his father found something called a 'nightclub' luckily there was a lot of fireworks that night as it was new years so no one heard the extra explosions and screams or they mistook them for celebrating...
The younger Grindelwald was pulled from his reverie when the dreadful singing finally stopped minus two redhead fools in Griffindor still dragging it along he added them to the list of people he would...educate. He looked at the table of snakes spotting Daphne looking at her nails while Tracy continued to talk her ear off, many on that table seemed to be in a similar mind to him if their glares at the table of lions and the two irritating redheads were any indication. The Hufflepuff table was quiet...generic if he was being honest, the older years were chatty while the younger looked nervous and meek just like any generic school scene. As for his own table, they lived up to their reputation with students talking about various topics around magic while others discussed different political debates or unanswered discoveries in the larger world. Not long after Dumbledore rose from his golden throne-like chair this action gaining the undivided attention from all in the hall.
"Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts! All those who are new welcome and those old welcome back! I would like to say a few words and they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you!" his words matched his clothes insane
'maybe father was right and he is going senile...but then maybe father is too' he loved his father but there were times his old age really showed.
The feast continued with no more pointless interruptions and once Hadrian had his fill of food he decided to check out his teachers for the next seven years the most notable being the four heads of houses, first, he spotted a man who resembled a bat if his memory served him right this was Severus Snape Hogwarts potion master and head of Slytherin house. Next was his own head of house Filius Flitwick, half-goblin, charms professor, and former champion duelist beside him was professor Pomona Sprout Hufflepuff's head of house and the herbology professor and finally next to her was the witch from earlier Minerva McGonagall the strict head of house for Gryffindor and the school's transfiguration professor. His eyes were then drawn to the professor who had pale skin and a horrid purple turban on his head the man looked terrified to just be sitting in the chair constantly twitching and looking around as if the shadows will eat him. What truly got Hadrians attention however was the feel of the man's magic, after being raised by a former dark lord and trained by the man Hadrian had a good feel for dark magic and the professor had a weak but noticeable aura covering his body in the color of black with red tints mixed in, before he could examine the twitchy man anymore the headmaster stood once again.
"I have a few announcements to make! First, the Forbidden Forest is just that, Forbidden" he eyed the two redheads from Gryffindor "secondly we have a new defense against the dark arts professor, Professor Quirrell formerly our muggle studies teachers, he just returned to us from his touring of Albania so please a round of applause!" The great all gave a generous effort but it was likely everyone was put off by his twitching "And finally, the third-floor corridor is out of bounds and all students are to stay away unless you wish to meet an untimely death!" everyone looked dumbfounded at his choice of words but for Hadrian, this just proved he really is senile. "thank you all for listening but now I feel it is time for bed, of you go, chop-chop!"
Hadrian stood with the rest of his house and the first years were asked to follow a prefect girl, she had shiny straight blonde hair and dark eyes she led them from the room, the other house tables doing the same, they were led through many different corridors which Hadrian recorded to memory until they finally came to a stop outside a door with a big ornate knocker attached to the head of an eagle.
"My name is Penelope Cleanwater, prefect for house Ravenclaw. This here is the entrance to our common room, you can tell no-one in other houses where this entrance is this rule applies to all houses. To enter the common room you use the knocker and answer a riddle" she demonstrated by knocking which brought the eagle head to life.
"I'm tall when I'm young, and I'm short when I'm old. what am I?"
"Does anyone know the answer?" Cleanwater asked.
The first years whispered amongst themselves while Hadrian just rolled his eyes some of the ideas he heard were just beyond foolish, the other first years were likely nervous and wanted to impress the prefect, a few risked their answers and all were shot down so Hadrian decided to step forward and put everyone out of their misery.
"It's a candle" he spoke clearly getting an affirmative from both Cleanwater and the door, then it swung open revealing stairs leading up most likely into a tower.
They ascended the stairs and it took them a good few minutes to reach the top once they did they came upon the sight of a large circular room that resembled one of those old outdoor theaters, An amphitheater, with bookshelves with long windows overlooking the grounds in between covering the walls cushions and tables spread throughout the room for studying, and an opening leading to a balcony and two sets of stairs leading up on opposite sides of the room. He was impressed, defiantly a place worthy of delving into the depths of magic.
"This is our common room the place is to be quiet at all times for it is a place of study and learning, not gossip and games plus the older years will be studying for their NEWTS and OWLS exams. If you have any questions you can ask us, Prefects, you'll find two in fifth, sixth, and seventh years plus the head boy and girl being in seventh as well. Or you can ask our head of house Professor Flitwick, ah here he is now." As she finished the half-goblin walked around from the entrance stairs.
"Thank you, Mrs. Cleanwater excellent job as always" the girl lit up at his praise "I would like to welcome you all to Ravenclaw the house of intelligence and wisdom, you will find there is rivalry in this school specifically between Gryffindor and Slytherin but such things are beneath us. While in this house you are expected to receive an EE grade in at least five classes especially in Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, and two of your elective choices but don't fear you will find help from myself and fellow housemates if your grades begin to fall." he squeaked while offering a polite smile he then nodded at the prefect before walking off to his office.
"You heard him we have expectations in this house but I'm sure you will all meet them you were placed in this house after all." she then walked further into the room before stopping at the center "to the right is the boy's dorm and to the left is the girls, don't try going into the opposite gender dorms it won't be pleasant for you if you try, from first till your fourth year you share dorm room but your fifth year till seventh you get your own room for your OWLS and NEWTS. All the books are to be kept in the common room however you may take them to your dorm room and hold onto them for a week, you need to request extra time if required. Any questions? good enjoy your stay in Ravenclaw" her face was strict but she still managed to offer a warm welcome smile.
While the other first years dollied around trying to find their footing while Hadrian approached the prefect before realizing he has spent a lot of time with blondes lately more so than any other hair color, maybe it s a wizarding world thing he mused. The girl looked startled when she spotted him he wasn't surprised as before he just blended with the first years but now he stood out like a bull in a china shop.
"Mrs. Cleanwater my name is Hadrian Grindlewald I was wondering if you can answer something for me?" he asked his charming smile in place.
"Well, Mr. G-Grindlewald I would be delighted to answer your question" she was anything but as she plastered a strained smile on her face.
"That's appreciated, my question is about a new DADA professor, he seems...unique especially for someone to fill such a role as he has. Can you tell me anything about him? the headmaster stated he was the muggle studies teacher before his transfer."
"Well honestly he never seemed as jittery before he left for vacation but I heard he had a run-in with a vampire clan in Albania, that's the most likely reason he changed," she answered honestly "although he also never used to wear such a ghastly turban either, I guess it was much colder in Albania, I just wish he got rid of it upon his return." the blonde chuckled to herself while Hadrian pondered over everything she said.
"Vampires you say?" he murmured to himself not really believing it but it could explain the darker magic attached to him, he placed those thoughts in the back of his mind as he replied "Thank you Mrs. Cleanwater you were most helpful" her smile was slightly more genuine this time.
He bid her goodnight and left to find which dorm-mate he would be sharing with and it seemed Boot had already claimed the first room in a short corridor he stod outside and asked Hadrian to be his roommate to which he easily agreed. The room itself was...okay although it left a lot to be desired in Hadrian's opinion, he pulled a small rectangular object from his pocket and tapped it with his wand enlarging it into becoming a medium-sized trunk which he placed at the base of his bed he claimed beside the window as Boot seemed happy with the one closer to the fire, he then cast several protections around his bed and a detection charm on the door leading into the room, he turned to see his roommate standing shocked with his jaw hanging open.
"How did you do that?" ah an opportunity Hadrian couldn't pass up.
"Magic" his answer earned him a scoff "ask stupid questions, get stupid answers."
the brown-haired boy just shook his head while mumbling some choice words under his breath as he climbed into his bed the scene made Hadrian chuckle quietly to himself as he got changed into some pj's and he quickly followed his lead and climbed into bed himself but before he could drift of his mind wandered back to the jumpy DADA professor, vampires would be a reasonable explanation but they surely wouldn't have left a taint of dark magic on him unless they converted him that is, in which if that was the case then the Headmaster needs to get his brain checked but no Dumbledore wasn't that stupid...
There was also a conversation he had with his father before traveling to England, the elder Grindelwald's contacts picked up some strange dark readings out in Albania his father figured it was some dark artifact which would also explain the dark magic on Quirrell especially if he handled it like an idiot. If that is the case then the dark magic will be eventually purged from his system and he will back to normal or it will spread and destroy him from the inside out, only time will tell and with that thought, he drifted off to sleep thinking about what his first school day will have in store for him.
He awoke as the sun even began its ascent into the sky, a quick tempus showed him it was exactly five in the morning, he looked over to the light snoring of Boot still deep in his dreamland. The high level of training his father put him through got him into a habit of waking early out of fear of the spontaneous attacks he often launched on his son. The blonde roughly sat up and moved to the edge of his bed the side with a view of the window and looked down at the grounds, quiet with a low mist, it was a peaceful and beautiful morning. He swiftly went off for his morning shower before getting dressed and he decided to explore the castle a little while the halls were likely empty.
He walked around looking for the room for every class he would need to attend, several early risers like himself were able to give directions while others turned on the spot and marched in the opposite direction one might even say they were running. He was able to find all his classes thanks to the directions and he memorized each route planning to find any quicker paths in the future, once that task was done he began to walk of randomly seeing what interesting discoveries he could find before he knew where he was going his brain automatically brought him to the third floor where he came across a large door which had a very basic locking charm in place and with a quick glance around he waved his wand unlocking the door so he can have a quick peek inside, as the muggles say curiosity killed the cat...or a large three-headed dog with that the door was swiftly slammed closed which was followed by a loud thump that jolted the doors and angry growling.
'It is official Dumbeldoor is mad, I owe father ten galleons'
He sighed while casting the locking charm back on the door with a minor detecting charm to notify him when someone opens it after all whatever needs to be guarded by a Cerberus must be important to someone, maybe it's connected to the potential dark artifact Quirrell may have interacted with if that's the case then Dumbledore needs a slap because what idiot would put a dark artifact in a school full of children not to mention putting a dangerous category five creature to guard it and merlin knows what else.
He easily went back to his exploration as if he never saw the Cerberus, his father tasked him to take down several magical creatures after his seventh birthday nothing as dangerous as a category five but certainly animals above a normal seven-year-olds skill level. As he walked on he noticed the castle began to become more desolate as if no one had passed these particular halls and classrooms in quite some time, he choose a door at random which was unlocked, it opened to an old abandoned classroom littered with dust and broken furniture. The blonde decided to come back and check it out at a later time when he had more free time, as after a quick tempus he noticed it was close to breakfast in the great hall. he quick-walked back to Ravenclaw tower and into his dorm, he spotted that Boot had awoken and was most likely in the shower so he grabbed his book bag and went down to wait in the common room where he began reading an advanced charm's book as he waited.
Half an hour later the other first years had all gathered waiting for a prefect to come and escort them back to the great hall, The son of Grindelwald saw an opportunity to gain some points with his fellow first years, he told his peers that he knew the way back to the great hall and he could escort them most looked nervous but that was mostly for the idea of getting in trouble for not waiting for their guide and not as much that he is a Grindlewald, Hadrian had to silent cheer at that. He told them that if they waited too long breakfast would likely end and they would need to go the day until dinner with no food the final nudge was when he said that "one cannot learn on an empty stomach"
Hadrian with his fellow first years walked through the halls of Hogwarts and thanks to a shortcut he found they made it to the great hall before the other house first years, which would show the professors that the new ravens were serious about their studies and punctual but also willing to go the extra mile, they swiftly made their way over to the house table and seated with all the first years seated around Hadrian much to his pleasure with Turpin and Boot on either side of him again. They began some small talk while they waited for the others to arrive Hadrian learned some of his other fellow students' names, two girls and a boy, the girls were Padma Patil who had a sister in Gryffindor and Su Li as for the boy his name was Morag MacDougal.
A short while later the others arrived filling the hall with chattering about classes and various topics of gossip, Hadrian spotted Daphne walk in with Tracy at her side and Zabini in tow, their eyes met and she gave him a small private smile which he returned. Once everyone was seated Dumbledore clapped his hands and piles of food appeared across all house tables causing several mouths to water quite severely in a certain redhead's case at the table of lions. Not long into breakfast, his head of house began handing out class schedules when he reached Hadrian he stopped and offered him a smile.
"Ahh, Mr. Grindelwald it has come to my attention that your the one that led your fellows here for breakfast, is this correct?" he squeaked as he handed over his schedule.
"Yes Professor, I thought it best to show the other teachers that the raven first years mean business" he replied honestly earning a smile from the small man.
"Take five points for Ravenclaw Mr. Grindlewald keep up the good work," the half-goblin said before continuing down the table.
As he looked over his schedule he found he had double charms then herbology followed by potions and ending the day off with double transfiguration.

HOM - History Of Magic
DADA - Defense Against the Dark Arts
The whole week promised to be interesting especially the DADA lessons as it would allow Hadrian to watch Quirrell up close, the classes he looked forward to least would be any classes he would have to share with the Gryffindor's as from his current experience with them they are loud and lack any kind of table manners. He supposed he would need to see how it all played out but his priority right now was showing his fellow first-years where their charms class was located.
The walk was quiet as everyone was too absorbed in taking in the majestic castle, Hadrian noticed not far behind the badgers were following them making him silently chuckle. A short while later they arrived at their destination and the ravens lined up on one side of the wooden door for the charms class while the badgers did the same on the other, after waiting for a few minutes the door swung open followed by a squeaky come in. Upon entering he spotted the room was divided into two seating areas most likely for house division, specifically the lions and snakes, the badgers were quick to take the furthest seating for themselves leaving the side closest to the teacher for the raven which they settled in quickly.
"Okay class, today we will be learning a fun little charm called 'Wingardium Leviosa' can you all say that for me?" only a few got it right while the rest butchered it slightly "Ah practice makes perfect as they say" a few more attempts and most got it right. "When you speak the incantation you need to perform the right wand movement, so hold up your wands and copy me" all the class pulled their wands out with several ravens admiring the finely crafted one Hadrian wielded. "Now it's a simple, swish and flick!" most of the ravens seemed to get it down with some help from Hadrian while the badgers struggled a little more.
"Now before we continue can anyone explain what the charm does?" All the raven's hands went up along with several Hufflepuffs "let's see...Mrs. Bones"
"It will levitate an object professor" a Hufflepuff girl with fiery red hair answered getting a happy squeak from the half-goblin.
"Excellent Mrs. Bones you are correct, take five points for Hufflepuff, as Mrs. Bones just said it levitates objects I would like you all to practice on the feather in front of you, you may begin when ready."
Hadrian got it first try, it was ironically one of the first spells his father drilled into him, he then went to help his fellow housemates and even being able to help several badgers. It gained his house a fair number of points being twenty in total and helped build bridges between the ravens and badgers. Gradually the first period came to an end with most of the class having the charm down any who didn't would need to practice in their own time.
"For the next half of our double, we will be learning 'Lumos' or the light charm much simpler than the levitating charm I assure you" his happy squeak was still plain as day, he clearly enjoyed teaching charms. "There is no movement for this charm, just raise your wand and say Lumos, and to cancel you say Nox" he then cast a quick charm that darkened the room.
Many got Lumos down quickly and by the time they all did there was still half an hour of class remaining so the professor gave them all a chance to practice the levitation charm and those who already performed it to help those where needed, it allowed for a nice moment of inter-house cooperation and by the time class came to an end all ravens and badgers had both charms down to near perfection when the class was finally dismissed both houses walked out side by side.
Herbology passed smoothly with the little incident except for the time when Potter and Weasley set their robes on fire followed by Granger the bushy-haired bossy girl giving them both an earful. The class itself consisted of learning about the plant Devil Snare, a nasty plant that can constrict or strangle anything that comes into contact, and the subsequent charm that's best for handling said plant called 'Incendio' the fire charm. Hadrian observed Granger for most of the lesson and he easily came to the conclusion that she is a very bright witch but her attitude and way of talking down to people would be a major barrier in her way of truly excelling although he did enjoy watching the famous Boy-Who-Lived getting spoken to as if he didn't know up from down. He also caught onto the fact that Longbottom was exceptionally good at herbology someone to keep an eye on he decided, not long later the ravens and lions found themselves in the murky dungeons for their potions class.
"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion-making. However, for those select few who possess, the predisposition... I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death." Snape's silky voice rang out over the eerie classroom.
Hadrian's first thoughts were that the man enjoyed his flair for dramatics but also had a deep passion for brewing potions. After his impactful intro potions became a very enlightening class for the son of Grindelwald as he quickly came to the conclusion that Professor Snape did not like Gryffindor, specifically Potter with Weasley not far behind as without either even starting their potion they lost their house twenty points...each. As for the ravens, they were mostly left alone unless they were dumb enough to make a mistake but most of them manage to gain their house points although not much especially in comparison to what other teachers would give as Snape seemed to only like giving one point for everything. The potion they were tasked with brewing was called 'Boil-Cure Potion' or simply named 'Cure For Boils' it was relatively easy but most of the lions seemed to struggle but that was mostly due to Snape harassing them if anything, Longbottom showed his high skill in herbology didn't translate to potions as at some point during his being his cauldron exploded covering him in his brew making boils spread across his skin and after a word lashing from Snape he was sent to the infirmary.
Finally, they reached the final double lesson of the day...transfiguration, Hadrian's second favorite study to magic second only to Dark Arts, and the defense against said dark arts plus for this lesson, the ravens and badgers were back together, and if charms was an indication then they will excel in this class together as well. Instead of splitting as they did for charms they mingled and sat together with Bones on Hadrian's right and Boot on Hadrian's left once everyone settled a cat leaped from the desk at the front and transformed into the strict looking witch that is Professor McGonagall.
"Good evening class, I hope you all had an enjoyable first day...in this class, you will learn the beautiful art that is transfiguration." she demonstrated by aiming her wand at her desk and turning it into a live pig earning several chuckles from both houses. "I would like you all to attempt turning the match before you into a silver needle, just focus your mind and picture the transfiguration."
As they had very good cooperation with one another they all got it down easily with only a few stragglers and as the professor was able to direct her attention onto them they also got it an agreeable standard, McGonagall was most certainly surprised at how quickly they picked it up but more so she was surprised by the inter-house teamwork they were demonstrating and in them doing so earned they house five points each for every student. They spent the rest of the first half of the double reading the theoretical side of transfiguration but with the ravens already knowing most of the basics and Hadrian being even further ahead they did what any proud member of the house of knowledge would do and opened the more advanced textbooks they had, an action which didn't go unnoticed by the professor.
Once the second half came around they were tasked with changing a live rat into an expensive and fancy looking goblet a task that proved much harder for all the other students with the exception of Hadrian but instead of the blonde just doing the transfiguration install he decided to go around and help his fellow housemates and their neighbor house of yellow and black.
"Hadrian got any device for this Transfiguration," Boot asked from his left "I can't get it down"
"Hmm...okay try this, you need to picture the end goal perfectly every minute detail about the goblet, here use mine as a basis for picturing" he changed the rat into the goblet earing several jaw drops from those around him and lifted it up for boot to examine. After fifteen minutes of Boot intently staring at the goblet, he reattempted his transfiguration and managed to get it very close to perfection"keep working on it Terry, obviously in the future you will need to get into a habit of picturing it without a reference source preferably."
"Hey Hadrian can we borrow your cup?" Bones asked from his right after he turned away from Terry "we are struggling a bit ourselves" she gestured between herself and Hannah Abbot who was beside her.
"Of course Mrs. Bones, Mrs. Abbot although I will give you the same advice I gave Terry, don't become reliant on a reference source to picture what you want to create." his help got him two thankful smile's, extra trust from the first year's yellow and black badgers and more points for his own house a very successful lesson in Hadrian's opinion.
Dinner was a quiet affair for most of house Ravenclaw with the first years basking in their very successful first day at Hogwarts, the first-year Hufflepuffs sat with the Ravenclaws forming a sort of social bubble where they spoke between the two house tables earning themselves smiles and nods from most of the teachers and surprise from the snakes and lions although Hadrian noticed Daphne had a small smile grace her lips. After everyone had their fill of food they were ushered out back to their dorms where Hadrian swiftly changed into PJ's and climbed into bed feeling very accomplished.
The rest of his lessons passed through the week with nothing relevant happening, history of magic was the first lesson he had with Slytherin and therefore with Daphne when they decided to sit together they earned a round of surprise from both his house and hers. Hadrian also found he came to dislike HOM as Professor Binns read word for word from the textbooks convincing Hadrian that the lesson will not prove useful in the slightest so he dedicated his time to studying the other core subjects with Daphne and his fellow ravens doing the same, the other snaked were hesitant but most eventually gave up listening and succumbed to either sleep or gossiping with a few studying.
By the end of the second day Ravenclaw and double Astonamy with Slytherin so naturally Hadrian paired up with Daphne and they charted various different star charts together while making idle chit-chat all in all it was a very pleasant evening for the two blondes. The following day the raven had flying lessons with the badgers and the lesson went by smoothly once again showing the good teamwork between the two houses, Hadrian had heard that Gryffindor and Slytherin weren't so fortunate with their lesson as Malfoy seemed to insult Longbottom which caused Potter to intervene and then get dragged off by Professor Hooch the school flying instructor.
Defense against the dark arts finally came around, the lesson Hadrian was most looking forward to, and by Merlin did Quirrell fail to deliver. His stuttering alone made following his lectures irritating not to mention how it affected his ability to cast plus the dark aura stuck to his body hadn't even slightly diminished, if anything it got worse. Although there is a silver lining to his misery, their first DADA lesson was with Gryffindor and it seemed that Granger was isolated from her own house and ironically forced to sit next to Hadrian, he was able to start up a basic conversation with her but at the start, she was hell-bent on ignoring him but as the lesson progressed but he felt he made some significant progress. By the time the class was dismissed the son of Grindelwald had finally created a bridge into all four houses.
Hadrian had the whole first year of his own house and from Slytherin, he had Daphne, Tracy, and by acquaintance Zabini. From Hufflepuff, he had Bones and Abbot but pretty much all their first year trusted Hadrian as they are very loyal and trusting of their own, and from Gryffindor, he was slowly convincing Granger and potentially gaining their Patil sister.
As the weekend rolled around everyone began to get excited as the older years would be visiting Hogsmead and the younger years started pestering them about buying sweets and goodies from the small village. Unlike the others, though Hadrian found himself back in the unused classroom he found at the start of the week. The blonde had plans to create a personal study and training room and an out-of-the-way forgotten classroom would be perfect for his needs however before he could begin the transformation he heard the door open and close behind him.
"We need to talk"
AN: Thank you all for your lovely reviews, honestly, one positive review is enough to push me forward so I really am grateful for you all! Anyone who has followed and favorited, you are the best and I hope you continue to enjoy this story!
Another chapter but not the most exciting I will admit, in the first half we got to see Ravenclaw tower, and fellow housemates and Hadrian got to even meet to fluffball on the third floor. The whole second section was dedicated to getting to understand the lessons and the kind of atmosphere each had and how Ravenclaw interacted with them as I feel they are the most neutral house out of all four, Hadrians obviously building connections for what purpose we will have to wait and see.
There were some points made in a review I would like to address:
- WBWL: Kyle Potter is the boy who lived in this story but there is a twist that involves Hadrian.
- Neglectful parents: There has been no showing of them being neglectful, I understand how you can pull that from the premise but they were not neglectful.
- Asshole brother: I'm assuming you mean Kyle Potter when they were younger and when Hadrian lived with them yes he was a bit of an ass but it's understandable because as soon as Kyle could understand people they had praised him for being the vanquisher of the dark lord and that gave him a sense of superiority to his less successful brother but as most people do he sort of grew out of it as he got older especially when certain circumstances surrounded his brother later down the line.
- Hermione bashing: This is not a bash story at all I was simply portraying how a young Hermione acted in the magical world and that purebloods and even other muggle-borns would take some serious offense to her behavior so Hadrian was helping her in his own Grindelwald kind of way.
-Edgelord Harry: I didn't intend for him to come across as an edge lord and there is an explanation to his much more mature personality that will be revealed in this story. The trench coat and his whole appearance resemble that of his father's clothes during the great war this is due to his father's influence and the as before mentioned mature personality situation.
-Marriage contract: I know their only eleven but I wanted to show the difference between pureblood raising and muggle-born raising and I feel that a typical age the purist families would involve marriage contracts would be around thirteen and the Malfoys being the slimy family they are would be trying to get ahead of the curb and make a connection with the very high standard girl that is Daphne Greengrass before anyone else gets the chance.
- Overpowered: his raw power is equal to a third-year but his current true advantage is his reserves which are equal to a sixth year and until his seventeenth birthday he will continue progressing in a similar state where his power will always be two years ahead and his reserves double his raw power. On his seventeenth is when things will take a big change but that's still a ways away yet.
Someone is looking to talk to little old Hadrian I wonder who it could be? There will be some reveals next chapter about Hadrian and maybe even Grindelwald...
THANK YOU ALL FOR READING, YOUR ALL AMAZING, AND PLEASE REVIEW I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR FEEDBACK, POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE!
