YES!!!!!!!!! My Cardinals are 9-2 after hanging on to beat the division rival Seahawks 23-13 as Colt McCoy was fantastic in his backup quarterback role completing an impressive 35 of 44 passes for 328 and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions while godsend acquisition Zach Ertz caught 8 passes for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Cardinals win today was totally awesome baby. GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!! :)

Things I like in Harry Potter fanfiction:

Stories in which Harry is NOT friends with Ron Weasley the jealous.

Harry in Hufflepuff, especially if he is friends with Susan and/or Hannah.

Harry in Gryffindor stories that use a Harry/Neville/Hermione trio.

Stories where Amelia Bones helps Harry.

Stories featuring Neville, Ginny, and Luna at Hogwarts while Harry and Hermione are on the Horcrux hunt.

Stories free of pairings. It would be nice to see more romance free stories in the Harry Potter section.

Things I don't like in Harry Potter fanfiction:

Stories filled with romance, sex, and sexuality, especially if the characters are too young. 10-13 year olds having sex is obscene, repulsive, and completely age inappropriate by every known standard.

Stories that just put an OC into Harry's timeline but repeat the cannon plot verbatim.

Snape mentors Harry stories. No. Just. No.

Changing any canon character's gender. No. Just. No.

Stories in which pre Hogwarts friends or people who become friends on the Hogwarts Express are separated from each other by being put into different houses. If you're going to have kids be friends, especially best/close friends pre Hogwarts, have the decency to put them in the same house at Hogwarts and let them keep that friendship. Likewise, if you have people bonding and making friends on the Hogwarts Express, have the decency to put them in the same house at Hogwarts and let them actually have that friendship. In some ways this is my biggest fanfiction pet peeve.

Proof from canon that Ron is a terrible friend.

1. In Sorcerer's Stone, Ron talks mean about Hermione behind her back and makes her go cry in the bathroom.

2. Ron is an asshole to Hermione in Prisoner of Azkaban despite LITERALLY having NO right to be angry at or upset with her. He meanly shakes bedsheets in her face and yells at her in one of the most public settings of Hogwarts, the Gryffindor Common Room. He freezes her out of the food party in the Gryffindor Common Room after the Gryffindor-Ravenclaw Quidditch match. And he won't even listen to Hagrid when Hagrid gives Ron the correct perspective that Ron should value his friend more than rats. Ron LITERALLY had NO right to be angry at or upset with Hermione but took his own personal problems out on her. Hagrid's quote is spot on. Friends should ALWAYS be valued above pets without exception. Even minor level friendships such as Harry Potter and Katie Bell should ALWAYS be valued above pets. Hagrid was right on the money when he said Ron should value his friendship more than rats. Ron should've cared MUCH more about Hermione than about Scabbers. I guarantee everyone that If I were Hermione I would NEVER have forgiven Ron for shaking sheets in my face and yelling at me in front of the whole common room and I would NEVER have had anything to do with him ever again.

3. Ron is inexcusably jealous of Harry's fame and attention despite knowing that that Harry doesn't like his fame and why. People like Hermione and Ginny understand and respect that Harry doesn't like his fame whereas Ron is a jealous glory hound. Ron never saw Harry as Harry, only ever as the Boy Who Lived. Ron only wanted to be Harry's friend in the first place because he had hoped being friends with the "Boy Who Lived" would bring him some deflected fame. And being overshadowed at home isn't an excuse. Ginny has the same number of siblings as Ron and having one more older sibling actually makes it harder for her to get attention at home than Ron. Yet, Ginny, like Hermione, is never jealous of Harry's fame and attention.

4. Ron BETRAYS Harry in Goblet of Fire after Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire. This was the time that proved that Hermione and not Ron is Harry's true bestie. Hermione's reaction to Harry's name coming out of the Goblet of Fire, especially her immediately believing Harry when he said he hadn't put his name in the Goblet of Fire, is the way any true or loyal friend with any ounce of faith or loyalty would have reacted. After knowing Harry for three years plus, Ron and Hermione should understand that Harry would never have put his own name in the Goblet of Fire. There was no good reason for Ron to believe Harry had put his own name in the Goblet of Fire, yet because of petty jealousy he does and turns against Harry. This was the moment that proved Ron had no true loyalty to Harry and that Hermione was Harry's true BFF. Harry should NOT have forgiven Ron for this obvious betrayal. Always remember that it is an indisputable truism that the rift between Harry and Ron in Goblet of Fire was 1000% Ron's fault as Harry literally hadn't done anything wrong but Ron betrayed him despite literally having no right or reason to believe Harry had put his own name in the Goblet of Fire or wanted fame or attention. I guarantee everyone that if I were Harry I would NEVER have forgiven Ron for the Goblet of Fire betrayal and would NEVER have had anything to do with him ever again.

5. On page 310 of Half Blood Prince, Luna says that Ron is unkind and that she had noticed that last year. So, Luna, who is new to the group, likes Harry but doesn't like Ron because Ron is unkind.

6.. Ron ABANDONS both Harry and Hermione during the horcrux hunt. Wearing and being influenced by the locket horcrux is NOT an excuse. Harry and Hermione both had to wear it as well. Yet, Ron runs out and abandons his friends when the going gets tough while Hermione stands by Harry all the way. Remember too that Ron was moody here even when he had taken the horcrux off. Abandoning both Harry and Hermione during their darkest days was the ultimate. It was the moment that made Ron 1000% unredeemable. Ron was a fair weather friend who left Harry and Hermione at their darkest time. Harry and Hermione should NEVER have forgiven Ron for betraying and absconding them. I guarantee everyone that if I were Harry or Hermione I would NEVER have forgiven Ron for the betrayal and abandonment in Deathly Hallows and would NEVER have had anything to do with him ever again.

Lily Luna Potter and the New Era of Hogwarts: My personal favorite of my own stories, this is a slice of life story about the life of Lily Luna Potter as she goes through her Hogwarts years. Lots of OCs including Dudley's son Devon, who is a major character. Hugo, James, and eventually Albus are the most prominently featured canon next generation characters apart from Lily herself. Lots of close family relationships and friendships. Note that Scorpius will NOT be included in this story. My OC Samantha Saver is based on myself, especially with her being an albino, an atheist, and proudly an Arizonan.

Harry Potter and the Yellow Quartet: My Harry/Susan/Hannah story with my own OC Amy Alworth added to make it a quartet. The Yellow Quartet's time at Hogwarts is short lived and they are home schooled for a year before eventually heading off to a new magical school founded by my prominent OC Heather Abbott. Includes appearances by Sirius, Remus, and Amelia. The friendship between the Yellow Quartet is super tight.

A Different Path: Originally started from a plot bunny of Harry supporting Hermione when Ron was an asshole to her in POA. Retains Harry and Hermione as besties, has Ginny replace Ron as Harry's other bestie. Incorporates some changes into Hogwarts including Remus becoming headmaster.
