"I, like this."

A backpack, so that he could keep going to school and Ophis could stay close by (because otherwise he would have a mostly naked loli following him) he got a backpack. With her shapeshifting powers, she shrank her size to 1/4th of what her normal size was, and stuffed herself inside of his new backpack. It was bulging, dark on the inside, to the point that it really stood out as something odd.

"I, don't like this." Naruto copied her manner of speaking to make a point. "I should get a dufflebag or something, that way I can just carry you around... nobody will think me carrying a work out bag would be weird." Naruto was going to have to go to the mall again after school, just to get a better thing to carry Ophis inside of for the future.

"I, don't care."

Ophis was in a good mood being carried around while basking in Naruto's lonely aura, and being in a dark, cramped space made it even better. The fact that she didn't need to breath, and she could put ear plugs in to give herself silence was just icing on the cake. It was not quite home, but it was good enough for now.

"Morning Rias."

"Yeah, whatever." Rias barely greeted him, keeping her nose in the book she had been reading for the past week. She walked next to Naruto, but her eyes were mostly on the book she was reading, and Naruto just made eye contact with Akeno, who was guiding Rias to make sure she didn't walk into traffic.

Rias was dismissive of his morning, but not rude to him, so he was perfectly fine with her being a bookworm at the moment.

"Naruto!"

Rias DID look up from her book when a girl she did not know shouted Naruto's name, and she heard an Italian accent to the girl's words that let her know the girl was speaking Italian. Well, thanks to her natural translate ability, the girl sounded like she was speaking English to her, but she could somewhat turn off the translate ability a little to tell the accent the girl had. She looked and saw a girl that could pass for Naruto's older sister chasing them down with a bento box.

"Your older sister?" Akeno asked with a sly smile.

"Still don't have a family, not funny." Naruto deadpanned at the joke just as Asia got to him, and she gave him his lunch.

"You forgot... your lunch..."

"Thanks, I'll just put it away for now." Naruto opened his backpack up, and he showed the bento into Ophis' small hands, forcing her to hold onto it for him. He zipped the backpack back up, while Akeno's jaw just dropped when she saw those tiny hands grab onto the bento for him. Akeno's eyes just widened and her jaw stayed dropped as the small hands disappeared when it was closed once more.

"I... what... child?" Akeno just whispered to herself.

Was that a child?

Did Naruto had a living child trapped into a backpack, and though Rias was busy looking at Asia running back home with her eyebrows raised, Akeno had a completely different and more important set of questions she wanted to ask Naruto about. Most importantly about why he had a living person stuffed inside of his bag, and why the person seemed perfectly okay with being stuffed in a bag AND being forced to hold the bento.

"Midget, but not a child... it's my new mummy dragon loli."

"What?" Rias asked, not sure what the hell THAT statement was suppose to be. Distracted by Asia or not, the term "Mummy Dragon Loli" would never fly under any radar. The way he just casually admitted that to them. She could be watching her favorite anime, and if somebody said those words, she was sure that she would stop paying attention at that.

"What?"

"Well, a near-dead loli dragon dropped out of a portal in front of me, so I helped nurse her back to heath... and now she refuses to let me."

"I, will not leave."

Rias and Akeno saw the backpack move slightly when a voice came out of it, and they just stared for a bit, now understanding why Naruto had taken some days off of school. Apparently, there was a loli dragon inside of his backpack that did not want to abandon him. The questions they wanted to as got lost.

For the rest of the day.

-After School-

"... Loli... dragon... mummy." Rias just questioned as the sounds of sword clashing against kunai filled her ears, and she looked at the book in her hands with a blank expression. She just watched Naruto helping Yuuto work with his sword speed.

He wanted an honorable spar.

Naruto still had the backpack on even while he helped Yuuto sharpen his sword skills.

"Okay, so you can make and use swords, and you're fast, do you have anything special?"

"Anything else?" Yuuto asked Naruto as he clashed sword to dagger once more. He didn't really know what else he could do that could enhance his skills anymore. He placed both of his hands on one of his swords, tossing the other at Naruto as he did so. Naruto caught the thrown sword and flung it back at him, forcing him to move out of the way.

He was kicked dead center in the chest for his dodge.

He collapsed to his knees and raised a hand to tell Naruto to stop for a moment while he tried to catch his breath.

"Something else... something you can surprise your opponent with... you know... just something?" Naruto asked as he scratched the back of his head. Yuuto's style of fighting was interesting since he could make use of so many different types of swords, but in the end it was still just swinging around swords, even if he was skilled at it. "Sword skill is great, but some opponents just aren't really weak to that... have you tried adding a hammer or maybe a spear?"

"My Sacred Gear can't make spears or hammers, just swords."

Yuuto finally stood up when he caught his breath, and he rushed towards Naruto.

He was stopped when a hand came out of the ground and grabbed him by the ankle, before a second hand came out and grabbed his other ankle. A copy of Naruto came out of the ground and threw him across the training field, he brought out his wings to start to fly, slowing himself down enough to avoid hitting a tree.

"... That is cheating..."

"No it's not, my clones ARE my weapons... even this kunai is just a transformed clone." Naruto showed the kunai to Yuuto.

It turned back into a clone, and the second clone turned into a Fuma Shuriken that Naruto grabbed onto, while the first clone popped itself.

Yuuto smiled at the challenge of facing a new weapon.

He stopped when he felt something sharp poke the back of his neck, and he tilted his head to be able to see. There was another Naruto standing behind him with a kunai tip touching him.

'When did a clone sneak up behind me?' Yuuto could understand how Rias had talked about Naruto being some kind of ninja, but he didn't believe it. Seeing how stealthy the blond could be was enough for him to really believe he was fighting a stealth expert now. With the duel over, and him knowing he lost, he sheathed his sword. "So, where do you think I can improve."

"I mean... figure it out yourself?"

"Helpful."

"We don't have the same style, so all I can say is add something you can surprise people with... I don't know what you are good at. Maybe you can... don't really have any advice actually." Naruto rubbed the back of his head, looking away. His clones all popped out of existence, and Naruto just looked at the sky. "... anyway... where is the tiny one at, does she want to spar too?" Naruto asked, since he might as well spar with Koneko.

"Good luck with that."

Koneko avoided Naruto like the plague if she could help it, the energy inside of him was just too much for her to handle. According to Koneko, who could sense things none of them could sense, both his 'chakra' and the 'chakra' deep inside of Naruto were practically immeasurable for her. She didn't know how large his reserves were, and it was terrifying for her to be around such a dark, sunny, cold, and warm person.

"Hey brats."

"Pervy Sage! I thought you were busy!"

"I was, but now I'm not. I brought a snack, figured it was about that time." Jiraiya stated as he showed himself holding ice pops up, a large grin on his face. Rias stared at Jiraiya with narrowed eyes, wondering what he was doing. His eyes just went to Naruto, and the grin that was on his face left. He split the pop in half and gave one half to Naruto, who gladly accepted it.

Naruto remembered the first time Jiraiya did this with him, and his grin became even wider.

He gestured for the forest.

"Sorry, I've got to go."

Jiraiya stopped smiling when Naruto ran off, and he followed behind his apprentice, knowing that he had a lot that he was going to be apologizing for.

"Naruto... I just want to say I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For bringing you to this world... It was a bad idea, and I regret it. So I'm going to come clean to you about a lot of things." Jiraiya was going to do it, he was going to tell Naruto everything. He was going to start at the beginning, and then get to where they were now. He saw that he had Naruto's attention at least.

So he sat down.

Naruto sat down behind him.

"Have you been lying about something?"

"... For starters, I know who your parents are."

"So?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow, not really caring that much that his parents were a secret from him. He already knew that several of the adults in his life knew who his parents were. He KNEW that the Third Hokage was aware of his parents, the man had confirmed that he knew, just that it was not important information.

Knowing who his parents was, true, was something he would have loved to know, but they had never been in his life either. Him knowing who they were was not going to bring them back to life, and if the Third Hokage knew, he kind of figured that Jiraiya knew them as well. Considering Jiraiya knew almost every ninja in Konoha, it was not a surprise that he knew this info either.

"... Not the reaction I was expecting."

"Knowing won't bring them back, though I really do want to know who they were." Naruto admitted with a grin.

"Your mother is where you get your last name, Uzumaki. She was the most beautiful kunoichi in the village, Kushina Uzumaki... and your father was where you get a lot of your looks from, except your face, that is ALL Kushina. Minato was a good man, you're a lot like him." Jiraiya stated, and he glanced back to see Naruto just grinning.

"So his name was Minato... and Kushina..."

Naruto was just giddy, an extremely happy smile on his face. He didn't know why Jiraiya was only now telling him, but he was happy that he was being told all the same. There were so many orphans in the village, that he was lucky to be one of the few orphans who get to know who their parents were was a blessing.

"Kushina had the Kyuubi inside of her too, she was also a Jinchuriki... you were given the Kyuubi because they figured you would be able to master it one day. Nobody knew that she was the Jinchuriki, and nobody was suppose to know about you being one either... but Danzo let it slip-"

"Mom was just like me, that's so cool." Naruto gave a wide grin.

He didn't know who this Danzo was, but he had lived his entire life suffering. When he got back to the village, he was for sure going to punch the living shit out of the guy, but he wasn't going to get angry until he was face to face with the guy.

"She was the coolest, and the scariest... she was just as scary as Tsunade was, with just as much of that Uzumaki temper."

"Heheh."

"I don't know what her last words for you were, I can't tell..." Jiraiya grabbed his chest for a second silently, before he took a deep breath. "... I don't know what they were. I know both your parents very well. They wanted me to watch over you, so I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you growing up." Jiraiya looked back at Naruto.

Naruto was just grinning.

"So we really are a family... heheheh... I have a family..."

That smile.

Jiraiya smiled softly when he saw that smile filled with GENUINE joy appearing on Naruto's face, to know that he had actual family in the world. Naruto did not focus on the fact that he was not there for him growing up, he focused on the fact he was here now. He was just happy to have somebody to actually call family now, and not just a bond of family. Genuine and real family, a bond that was deeper than just knowing each other.

"I was named your Godfather... makes sense, you're kind of like a grandson to me..."

"Cause you're old?"

"I'm still plenty youthful brat!" Jiraiya laughed as he called Naruto out on his words. "Nah, because you're just like me... I've always considered myself a failure... but it's nice to see you succeed. What next... there is so much I have left to tell you." Jiraiya didn't even know what he wanted to say next.

Blood was leaking out of his mouth as he spoke.

Naruto was just rocking back and forth, happily listening to everything he had to say.

"... I'm sick..."

"What?"

"Nothing... the crack that brought us to this world..." Jiraiya didn't want to make it seem like it was Naruto's fault, since it was his chakra that fixed the crack. He tried to think of a way to word it so that Naruto would never blame himself for what happened. "... somebody sealed the crack, it's gone... we won't be able to ever go back home... we're stuck here for the rest of our lives." Jiraiya told Naruto.

Nothing.

Jiraiya blinked when he heard Naruto start to breath more heavily, and he glanced at Naruto with a raised eyebrow when he didn't get rage as the instant response.

"Naruto?"

Nothing.

Naruto's breathing instantly started to get heavier and heavier, with Jiraiya now sending Naruto a look that showed concern. Naruto's hands went to his chest in pain, and his eyes were hyper focused on nothing. He was struggling to breath, gasping for air, and the more Naruto struggled to breath, the more he was visibly starting to freak out from the news.

He was hyperventilating.

"Naruto... Naruto calm down and breath... you need to calm down... Naruto, I don't have much time left, and I have so much more to... Naruto..." Jiraiya saw Naruto collapse, unconscious but still struggling to breath. In his sleep, Naruto started to calm himself down, but there was no more point talking to him.

Jiraiya just sighed.

He failed again.

He even failed to tell Naruto everything, even though he thought Naruto would hate him for it. It had taken everything in him to gather up the courage to tell Naruto the truth, to take the risk of being hated, but in the end he even failed in the most important task of his life. Jiraiya just leaned up against the nearest tree, and just looked up at the sky.

"... This is cruel... finally... finally I get the chance to tell him everything... and this happens... damnit... damn you dragon..." Jiraiya should have told Naruto to let the dragon die. The kyuubi's chakra inside of Ophis infecting her wounds had a reaction to the chakra inside of him, making the foul chakra inside of him even more active. Ophis had her dragon body that could let her handle the foul chakra, but he was just human. The chakra rampaging inside of him shortened his lifespan even more.

Months had turned into days.

He only had hours left.

Tears gathered at the edges of his eyes, before he grit his his teeth.

He smiled.

"Be a better man than me Naruto... find yourself love, happiness, and new dreams. Make sure to try and eat healthier, and write a book... yeah... become better than me. My story is over, but you have a long one ahead of you." Jiraiya just closed his eyes.

He had been forcing his own heart to beat through sheer willpower for the last few hours, it had been hard for him to even stay alive as long as he had. Were it not for his desire to leave something behind for Naruto, he would have died before now happilly.

Minutes later, his soul left his body.

Then disappeared without a trace.

Jiraiya had died.

Please Leave Me Lots of Nice Long Reviews, But No Flames Please!

Remember.
Naruto KNEW that the Third Hokage AND Kakashi knew who his parents were, there was no way he didn't know that Jiraiya also knew. So Naruto would NOT be surprised that Jiraiya would tell him.
Also, Naruto just had his dreams, his hopes, and everything he cherished taken from him. Having an emotional breakdown where he passes out due to hyperventilating IS a reaction he has had before to severe stress.

Jiraiya's soul is GONE, there is NO bringing him back to life with Evil Pieces, they can't bring his soul back from where it is right now.
