Everything was horrible.

He lost his dream of becoming Hokage.
He lost his goal of saving Sasuke.
He lost all of the friends he had earned.
He lost his only real family member, who he just learned he had.
He lost his home.
He lost his heritage.

All he gained was he knew his mother's full name, and his father's first name, but that was all he had gained, and it was nothing. He knew their names, but they weren't alive, knowing who they were did not give him a mother's love or a father's discipline. He wasn't going to just wake up now that he knew who they were and have them greet him. All of the years he had spent suffering his own personal lonely hell, the weight of all of it just hit him.

He buried Jiraiya.

He carried his godfather all the way to Kyoto, and buried him in a grave that Yasaka and Kunou helped him to dig, and then he just walked away. He didn't talk to them, he didn't talk to anyone at all. He just didn't want to be around anyone, because nobody talking to him would help him feel better.

Even training didn't help numb the pain.

"Naruto... lunch is ready..."

Naruto ignored Asia, because he wasn't feeling hungry. Anyway, Ophis would eat his food for him so that it wouldn't go to waste. He didn't need to feel bad about not eating the food, so he didn't eat it. Still, Naruto stood up and started to walk into the living room, he didn't want to do anything. He wasn't going to school, and he was ignoring visits from Rias and Akeno, even Yuuto had tried to visit him.

He didn't want them to see him like this.

Naruto's eyes widened when he saw them all in the living room, all with Asia's cooking in front of them. Instantly he placed the biggest smile on his lips, closing his eyes before they could turn to face him.

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked them with a cheerful tone.

Silence.

"We're here to check on you, you haven't been in contact with anyone in days. We wanted to check on you... since you've been through... I'm sorry about what happened." Rias bowed her head low. She felt horrible about what Naruto was suffering through, she didn't know his entire life story, but she knew that he had lost a lot more than anyone else could easily imagine.

There was a silver haired maid standing behind Rias.

Naruto made eye contact with the woman, and he noticed in the kitchen there was a red haired man as well.

"Ah, Naruto-kun, nice to finally meet you!" Sirzechs called out as he peeked out of the kitchen, and Rias blushed when she realized her brother was acting super cheerful to try and lift up the mood. He walked out of the kitchen wearing an apron, and Naruto just stared at him with a deadpan, not even a false smile. "I was just helping your roommate Asia prepare a nice snack for after lunch, I haven't had the chance to cook since I got married, so don't be afraid to tell me if it tastes bad." Sirzechs shook hands with Naruto.

...

"... I'm leaving, see you later... I know you want to come." Naruto grabbed his backpack, knowing that Ophis being with him wouldn't stop him from being alone. She was already in the backpack, she rarely left her backpack. He walked right by everyone, and he saw that Asia was VERY uncomfortable.

Right, she was surrounded by her enemies at the moment, so of course she would be feeling uncomfortable.

"I don't know why you seem so sad Naruto-kun, that old man seemed quite rude-"

A reaction.

Sirzechs got exactly the reaction he wanted as Naruto lunged at him, crossing the room in less than a second and slugging Sirzechs dead in the face. Everyone stood up in shock, while Grayfia seemed to just sigh, understanding what was going on. Sirzechs was still smiling even as his lip was split open, and his blood dripped onto the carpet, even when he slammed into the wall and cracked it.

"Hah... hah... hah..." Naruto was panting as he physically tried to restrain his anger.

"Naruto..." Rias took a step towards him.

"Get out."

"Na-"

"GET OUT!" Naruto lashed out and grabbed the lamp off the nearest table, before he slammed it against the wall. That was the signal everyone needed to know that he was trying his hardest not to punch anyone else. Naruto grabbed the couch and threw it against the ceiling before anyone had the chance to leave, and his rampage of destruction in the apartment following that started before anyone could rush out.

Sirzechs smiled as he passed Naruto.

Everyone left the apartment, including Asia.

The door SLAMMED behind them so hard the door itself cracked, and there was a silence amongst the group. They could hear the sounds of Naruto's angered screams as he broke everything he could get his hands on, they heard glass shattering, wood snapping, the walls getting broken. They could hear his grief and fury.

Rias slapped her brother.

"Why did you do that!?" Rias was angry with her brother.

Sirzechs took the slap, rubbing his cheek.

"I gave him the push he needed to feel something... that smile seemed very fake to me." Sirzechs knew what he was doing. He didn't mind that his sister was still angry with him, because he knew his actions would be seen as manipulative or bad. He purposely spoke ill of the dead purely so that he could get either an angry or sad reaction out of Naruto. "I'll admit, I didn't expect my first meeting with the boy to be under these conditions... well that sounded bad."

They all heard the sound of a wall inside of the apartment collapsing, and the building was starting to vibrate from the fierce shaking.

"... I shouldn't be here." Yuuto had no real connection to Naruto, they were at most people who knew each other's names and sparred with each other one time. He was not going to be able to help any.

So he left.

Asia was crying, hearing the pained howls from outside of the apartment was enough to make her heart tighten in sympathy. The man who saved her from being raped, and then invited her into his home so he could look after her was now suffering all by himself.

While they were waiting, other apartment tenants were starting to evacuate their apartments as well.

The howls coming from the apartment didn't sound human.

They sounded like pure pain, like somebody had taken the concept of pain and turned it into a noise. Even Sirzechs, who caused the initial reaction, stopped smiling when he heard those cries. Rias couldn't take it anymore, she opened the door up again and rushed back into the apartment.

Everyone was destroyed.

There was nothing, not a wall, furniture, anything that could have hands laid upon it that was not completely destroyed. Parts of the ceiling were coming apart, and walls were collapsing, with Naruto just grabbing whatever broken objects he could get his hands on and throwing it in the opposite direction. The second she put a hand on him, he turned around and punched her. He had lashed out at her without even looking at her, but the second he looked behind him to see who he had punched, his eyes widened.

"Rias! I'm sorry! I didn't know."

-Add Music: Fate/Apocrypha - Affection-

Rias was laying on her back, dazed but smiling after the punch, because Naruto rushed to her side with tears in his eyes. The rage was gone, and it was replaced with sorrow and regret. She just sat up with his help and rubbed her cheek.

"It's okay, I know you didn't mean to, you just reacted." Rias knew he told them all to leave so that he didn't hit any of them, because he didn't want them to get caught up in his problems. She had entered the apartment knowing full well that she was going to get hit if Naruto wasn't paying attention. It still hurt a bunch, but she could tell her pain wasn't anything compared to what he was going through at the moment.

So she wrapped her arms around him.

She pulled him into her chest.

She had forgotten, for all of his strength, his overwhelming chakra and power, his determination in training, he was still human. He was only a 14 year old boy, he was younger than even Koneko was, and he was an abused orphan who had just lost everything he loved. He seemed to strong at all times, that she felt her soul pinch itself when she felt him shivering as he tried to hold back his tears. He was trying his hardest to stay strong, but everyone had been leaving him alone to wallow in his depression. Asia tried to make him meals, but she didn't try and push him, and several days worth of sadness had been bottled up.

Nobody had offered him their presence.

"... I don't understand what you're going through right now, but I'll be here for you the entire time you need me. It's okay to be weak right now... you don't have to be strong."

It was all she could say, and she said it in her most genuine voice. She meant it from the depts of her spirit, every word.

"Aaaah!"

Naruto screamed into her chest, it was loud, and his throat souned hoarse, but he screamed out his feelings wordlessly. Words could not explain the pain he was feeling, no word Naruto could say would allow him to convey his raw emotions. They didn't need to either, because as others started to come back into the destroyed apartment, it was impossible for anyone to look straight at Naruto at the moment. Some closed their eyes, and others looked away, because his cries weren't just him screaming.

The sounds of his very soul were escaping his mouth.

Raw, genuine, unfilitered emotion were the only things that could be heard. Only the heartless, those without empathy or sympathy, would be able to hear those howls without reacting to them. They were the resonating howls of the soul, sometime so primal and heart rending that it could make a hardened heart soft.

They weren't the cries of somebody who was perfect.

A simple child soldier could not make the sounds he was making either.

They were the cries of somebody who was embracing weakness, somebody who needed somebody else to help him.

Nobody could say anything else.
