A/N: Here's the start of a team up with the Avengers. Like with the X-Men, I've limited the members to my favourites.

Please read and review, as I've worked hard on this.

On November 11th, Peter was walked down the street. He then stopped and turned to a parade that was taking place, as it was Veterans Day, which was to honor those who served in the Great Wars, and who'd given their lives so people could live in freedom today.

"I'm glad we should honor those brave people." Peter thought.

He saw several US Marines, Army Soldiers, Navy Seaman, and Air Force Pilots marching down the street in a platoon column, the Marines all holding a rifle over their shoulders. He then saw several Army Soldiers carrying a large US flag amongst themselves, as a Bulger played the Taps, making everyone be quiet.

He looked around slightly as they all moved down the street, seeing the construction workers had stopped for the silence, as most of the damage caused by the Rhino was still being repaired.

As the bugler stopped playing, a loud noise got everyone's attention.

"What was that?" a woman asked.

"I have no idea." a man shrugged.

Peter looked amongst the crowd, then heard an alarm go off, making him turn.

"What in the..?" he muttered. "A robbery on Veterans Day? Oh, I better check it out."

He turned and dived into an alley to change.

Down the street, inside a warehouse, about 30 to 40 of men in black outfits had stormed inside, making most of the workers hide, as a few managed to get out.

"Hand over the crates, now!" one yelled.

The remaining workers gasped, as the men in black and held up high-tech blasters, frightening them.

"Uh, we can't!" a man said.

"Then we'll take them ourselves!" the thug snarled. "Waste them, boys!"

"Hail Hydra!" the other thugs said.

Several workers ran off as the thugs all began shooting up the place with their blasters, luckily no one was killed or hurt.

"AGHH!" the workers screamed.

The tugs all kept firing, when a web stuck to ones blaster, pulling it out of his hands.

"Hey?" he complained.

The men all looked up, seeing Spider-Man on the ceiling, looking down at them.

"Don't you know it's disrespectful to attack people on Veterans Day?!" Spider-Man asked.

The remaining men fired their blasters at him, but missed as he jumped off the ceiling, creating a few holes in it.

"Oh, just what the city needs right now?" Spider-Man thought sarcastically, shooting a web from his left hand. "More damage to buildings."

His web hit the ceiling, then he swung towards the men, kicking two once he was close. He then back flipped through the air and landed on his feet, as the remaining thugs aimed their blasters at him.

"What kind of weapons are these guys using?" he wondered.

They all then fired at him, making him jump up to avoid the blasts, then he kicked one in the face, knocking him out.

"I've gotta get outta here." he thought. "There's more room to fight outside. Not to mention I'm heavily outnumbered!"

He jumped up and swung towards the door, as several of the thugs turned and fired at him, then he dived out of the door and into the city.

"After him!" one yelled.

The thugs all ran off towards the door, then piled out of it, but saw no sign of Spider-Man.

"Where'd he go?" one questioned.

"I don't know." another shrugged.

They all looked around and stepped into the street, looking around carefully, as people all around spotted them.

"AHH! Run!" a woman screamed.

All the citizens turned and ran off, just as the last two thugs came out of the warehouse.

"Maybe he turned chicken?" one suggested.

"I doubt it." the head thug said.

The two nearest the door turned around, just as a web hit both their shoulders, which yanked them up.

"AGH!" they yelped.

The others all turned and looked up, seeing Spider-Man on the wall above them, with their two friends webbed up in a cocoon.

"Did you miss me?" Spider-Man joked. "Oh, I'm flattered."

"Fire!" the head thug ordered.

They all fired at Spider-Man, who jumped off the wall and landed on his feet in front of them.

"Ha, you're missed!" he mocked.

"I don't think so." the head thug smirked.

Spider-Man's Spider-Sense tingled, making him turn around, before parts of the wall fell onto him, pinning him on his chest on the ground, trapping his arms.

"OH!" he moaned.

The thugs all laughed as two approached him slowly.

"Now who's joking?" one smirked.

"You two, deal with him!" the lead thug ordered. "The rest of you, back inside!"

All he thugs turned and walked back towards the warehouse, expect the two near Spider-Man.

"Time to die!" one smirked.

"Oh, man! I really need help here!" Spider-Man thought.

Both thugs laughed when a figure dived down and kicked them away, sending them flying away.

"AHH!" they yelped, before hitting the ground.

Spider-Man looked up, and saw it was Ghost Spider, who turned around to him.

"Need some help, Spidey?" she asked, teasingly, as she began lifting some of the rubble off him.

"Yeah." Spider-Man said. "How'd you know through."

"I was patrolling the area when he heard the blasts." Ghost Spider answered, as she finished freeing her lover. "Seeing you was just a coincidence."

"Well, thanks." Spider-Man said, getting up.

"Too bad for you then!" the head thug snarled.

Both Spiders turned to him and the others, as they came back out of the warehouse, including the three knocked out from inside.

"We are seriously outnumbered." Spider-Man said.

"Gee, you think?" Ghost Spider scoffed.

They both jumped up as the thugs all began shooting their blasters at them, hitting part of the building behind them. Spider-Man then shot a few web balls from his hands as he turned and dived down towards the ground, jamming four of their blasters.

"Huh?" the owners gasped.

Ghost Spider then landed on the ground, then shot a web at one, then web-yanked him towards her.

"Huh?" he yelped.

Ghost Spider punched him in the face once he was close, sending him flying away, hitting another two, knocking them all out cold.

"OH!" he moaned.

"AGH!" the leader scowled.

He and the others raised their blasters up, when both Spiders Spider-Senses tingled.

"Huh?" Spider-Man muttered.

"What?" Ghost Spider gasped, as they turned slightly.

They both ducked down a shield hit three of the thugs, knocking them down, before it moved like a boomerang, back to where it came from.

"Huh?" both Spiders muttered, as it flew over them.

They turned around, and saw Captain America himself standing behind them, wearing a suit similar to the one had used in WW2.

"Oh, not you!" the head thug snarled.

"You Hydra Agents are going down!" Capt. America roared.

Both Spiders moved aside as he charged past them towards the Hydra Agents.

"Capt. America?" Ghost Spider gasped.

"Hydra Agents?" Spider-Man questioned. "What's he talking about?"

They both turned as Capt. America banged one of the Hydra Agents with his shield, then spun around and kicked another in the chest, knocking him away.

"Oh, boy..." Spider-Man muttered.

Ghost Spider then spotted one coming up behind Capt. America, then tried to shoot a web from her left hand, but nothing came out.

"Webs!" Ghost Spider gulped.

She tried to shoot one from her right, but it was empty too.

"Oh, not now!" she moaned.

"Cap., look out!" Spider-Man yelled.

Capt. America turned around to the one behind him, then whacked him in the face with his shield, stopping him in his tracks.

"OH!" the Agent moaned, as he fell onto his side out cold.

Capt. America turned to them both, then nodded.

"Thanks." he said.

Ghost Spider refilled her web-shooters, as Spider-Man webbed up a Hydra Agent that charged at them both, trapping him completely before he fell onto the floor. They both turned as another came at them, when a laser blast hit his chest, knocking him both. They both turned around, Iron Man AKA Tony Stark, showed up in the air above them, wearing red and gold armour.

"Well, what do we have here?" he said.

He looked around inside his helmet, which scanned the area.

"JARVIS, scan the weapons these guys are using?" he asked.

"Right away, sir." JARVIS replied, which was a computer built into both his armour and at the place the Avengers lived.

He flew down towards the battle, then fired a blast from his right hand, which hit and melted one of the thugs blasters.

"Huh?" he gasped.

The thug then gulped as Iron Man flew right past and banged him in the chest with his arm, knocking him against a wall.

"OH!" the thug moaned, falling onto his chest out cold.

Ghost Spider kicked one in the chest as he came towards her, while Spider-Man ducked as another tried to punch him, before he spun around and tackled him. Both Spiders then webbed them to the ground, then turned to another as he charged at them. Both their Spider-Senses then tingled, making them duck, when an arrow flew past them both, and hit the thug's chest, which then shocked him.

"AGHH!" he moaned.

Both Spiders turned, and saw it was Hawkeye, AKA Clint Barton, who had a black sleeveless outfit, with purple sunglasses and a purple upside arrow on his chest.

"I think we've wandered into an Avengers battle." Spider-Man muttered.

"I agree." Ghost Spider said. "We'd better do our best to help them."

"Hulk smash!" a voice yelled.

They both turned and saw the Hulk, AKA Dr. Bruce Banner, jumping up and diving down towards the ground, all greened up and everything, wearing only a pair of torn pants that covered his privates. He then slammed his fists on the ground, creating a shockwave which knocked over several of the guys in black.

"AGH!" they yelled.

A few turned around and began to run off, when another man showed up, and whacked them with a hammer. Both Spiders turned, and saw it was Thor Odinson, wearing a blue and sliver outfit, with a sliver Viking type helmet, and a red cape.

"Have at tee!" he shouted, throwing his hammer away.

His hammer hit two Hydra Agents in the chest, knocking them out, before the hammer boomeranged back towards Thor, who caught it.

Hawkeye turned and fired an arrow at several near a fire hydrant, which hit the ground near them, trapping them in a net. He then turned and fired another arrow at two more, which exploded on the ground near them, knocking them away.

Hulk punched one as him came at him, sending him flying away, before he hit the ground hard on his back. Hulk then picked up another two as they came near him, then he banged the two of them together, knocking them out, before he put them down.

"OH!" they Hydra Agents moaned.

Capt. America held up his shield as two fired their blasters at him, deflecting the blasts, which hit the bottom of a nearby van, popping the tires. He then rammed a third nearby him, knocking him down, then he picked him up, then threw him towards the other two, hitting them both, knocking them all out.

Thor spun his hammer around as one fried at him, then he jumped into the air, flying as he kept spinning his hammer around. He then shoot down towards the thug, hitting him in the chest with his hammer, knocking him out.

Ghost Spider and Spider-Man each shot a web at one up as they came at them, Ghost Spider webbing hers up in a cocoon. Spider-Man's however, hit his opponents chest, then he pulled him towards him, then jumped and kicked him with both feet, sending him flying away.

"AHH!" the thug yelled.

He somersaulted backwards through the air, before hitting the ground on his back, out cold.

Both Spiders then turned to each other.

"I've noticed no one's watching the other end of the street to block their escape." Ghost Spider said.

"Agreed." Spider-Man said, spotting Iron and Hawkeye at the end in front of them. "At least we can try and prevent any of these goons from escaping that way."

Ghost Spider nodded, before they both jumped up and swung off slightly, away from the battle.

Hawkeye fired an arrow as Iron Man fried a beam from both his hands, hitting the ground near five of the Hydra Agents, creating a small explosion which knocked them all away.

"OH!" they moaned.

The head Agent fired his blaster at Hulk, who jumped up and dived towards her.

"Uh-oh." he gulped.

Hulk pounced onto him, hitting him with both fists, knocking him out cold.

"AGH!" he moaned.

Capt. America and Hawkeye gathered near Hulk, staring at the remaining Hydra Agents.

"Let's get outta here!" one said.

"Right away!" another said.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" a third said.

They and the remaining ones all turned and ran down the street.

"They're getting away!" Capt. America shouted.

"Oh, and I'm out of Ensnarement Arrows!" Hawkeye complained.

The Hydra Agents all kept on running, before a giant web appeared in front of them, trapping them all.

"AGH!" they yelped.

"Huh?" the Avengers muttered.

Iron Man and Thor both looked down at the scene, as Spider-Man showed up on the left side of the web, while Ghost Spider showed up on the right.

"Caught in the web, the lot of you." Ghost Spider teased. "And you didn't even see it coming, like a bunch of blind flies."

"You're all going away from a long time, for stealing and for ruining Veterans Day." Spider-Man said.

Both Spiders turned to each other and high-fived each other, then turned to the Avengers, as Iron Man and Thor landed near Hawkeye, Capt. America and Hulk.

"Well, look who we have here?" Hawkeye said sarcastically. "A couple of Spiders messing around."

Both Spiders frowned at him.

"Easy, Hawkeye." Capt. America said. "They did help us, after all."

"Yeah, cut them some slack." Iron Man said, raising his mask up.

"Still doesn't explain why they were here?" Hawkeye argued.

"I was watching the parade when I heard a noise." Spider-Man explained. "Decided to investigate."

"So was I." Ghost Spider answered, as she'd been waiting further in the city during her patrol. "Both ran into each other during the fight."

"And then you lot showed up." Spider-Man said. "No offence."

"None taken, fellow heroes." Thor said. "It's always nice to meet people who are just about protecting people."

"Hulk impressed with you both." Hulk admitted.

"Thanks." Ghost Spider blushed, embarrassed.

"We can handle these Hydra goons." Capt. America said. "We know just the people to take care of them."

"Right." Spider-Man understood.

"Still, you should leave stuff like Hydra to the real heroes." Hawkeye said.

"Real heroes?" Ghost Spider frowned. "What's that suppose to mean?"

"Oh, you know. Amateurs like you should-" Hawkeye began.

Capt. America covered his hand with his mouth.

"AH!" Hawkeye mumbled.

"Thanks for the help." Capt. America said.

"Yeah. We all really appreciate it." Iron man said.

"Thanks. Come on, Ghostie. Let's get outta here." Spider-Man said.

Ghost Spider nodded, then they both jumped up and began swinging away, as the five Avengers stared at them, as Capt. America put his hand down from Hawkeye's mouth.

"Ah!" Hawkeye coughed.

"Nice of them to help us." Iron Man admitted.

"True." Capt. America agreed, turning to the webbed up Hydra Agents. "Those ones defiantly would've escaped without their help."

"Looks like we're not the only heroes around here." Thor said.

"Yeah, right?" Hawkeye scoffed. "I've read about them in the paper."

"Hey, you shouldn't believe everything you read, my friend." Thor reasoned. "There's stuff in your newspapers I don't believe until I see them with my own eyes."

"Come on. Let's get back to the tower." Iron Man said. "SHIELD will be here in a minute to handle these guys."

They all turned and walked down the street.

As both Spiders kept swinging off through the city in the other direction, Eddie showed up from an alleyway in a street, staring at them both.

"Time to begin my plan of revenge." he thought, holding a bag over his shoulder.

Later, at a tall tower called the Avengers Tower, as the Avengers lived in it, the Avengers from earlier, were in a conference room with a few others - including Spider Woman, who had her mask off. The other Avengers there included an African teenager in a red and white suit, which included a backpack that could sprout metal wings called Sam Wilson, AKA Falcon. The other was was a blonde woman in a red and blue outfit, with bits of gold on called Carol Danvers, AKA Capt. Marvel, who held a small red eye mask in her hand. Hulk had also clamed down and changed back into Dr. Banner, while Steve had his mask off, and Tony was without his armour.

"Okay. We took out several of Hydra Agents at the Veterans Day Parade, which practically ruined the event." Steve said.

"It would hit you hard, since it honors your fallen brothers-in-arms from the war." Sam said.

Steve nodded. "Yeah, it did." he said. "They were stealing stuff from a warehouse where the parade passes by."

"Stuff most likely to help them build something." Tony finished.

"Well, good to know they won't be doing that then." Carol said.

"We've had SHIELD move the contents to a more secure location." Steve explained. "So hopefully Hydra won't try again."

"So, all the goons have been placed under arrest?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, but most of them would've escaped, if it hadn't been for those two kids with spider powers." Tony said.

Sam, Jessica and Carol all looked up, Jessica looking more curious than the others.

"Two kids with spider powers? Did you say that, Tony?" Jessica asked.

"Yeah." Tony said. "Why'd you ask?"

"Show me the footage?" Jessica asked.

Tony pressed a button on the table, bringing up a recording of the end of the battle. They all saw Hulk pouncing on the head agent, knocking him out cold, before the remaining ones retreated down the street.

"They're getting away!" Capt. America shouted.

"Oh, and I'm out of Ensnarement Arrows!" Hawkeye complained.

The Avengers watched the Hydra Agents running down the street, before a giant web appeared in front of them, trapping them all.

"AGH!" they yelped.

Sam, Carol and Jessica all watched carefully, before Spider-Man and Ghost Spider showed up on either side of the web, shocking Jessica as she recognized Spider-Man.

"Spider-Man?" she gasped.

The others turned to her, Carol, Clint, Tony and Steve all in shock.

"Wait, Jess, you know him?" Carol asked.

"Yeah." Jessica said. "He's the guy I told you about when we stopped the Chameleon together last spring."

"That goofball amateur?" Clint questioned. "Oh, come on."

Jessica folded her arms and glared at him, telling everyone she was serious.

"Okay. Okay." Clint said. "I'll take your word for it."

"But what about the other?" Sam asked.

"No. She first showed up after that event." Jessica explained. "But from what I've heard, she's been his partner for quite a while. SHIELD's been keeping an eye on them both for a while now."

"Oh..." Sam said.

"Hmm? These spiders seem to be spider than you, Spider Woman?" Thor noted, watching the footage.

"Yes." Spider-Woman admitted. "Spider-Man's powers are more spider than mine, as he can shoot webs and stick to walls."

"And that other one has the exact same powers?" Carol inquired.

"From what SHIELD's told me, yes." Spider-Woman confirmed. "Her name's Ghost Spider, apparently."

"Ghost Spider?" Sam questioned. "Wonder why she picked the name?"

"Might be because of the suit." Bruce said. "I mean, look at it."

They all looked at Ghost Spider's suit, noticing all the white on the top half.

"Yeah. She does look a bit like a ghost with that color." Steve noted.

"She must've picked the name for that reason." Tony deduced. "And by the fact you're called Spider-Woman, Jess."

"Guess so." Jessica assumed. "But they've both done pretty well, since it was them that stopped that Rhino last week."

"They did that?" Carol inquired. "Impressive, since it was way bigger than them."

Jessica nodded.

"Right. Well, dismissed for now." Tony said. "Let's just hope nothing else happens today."

The others nodded, then turned and walked off out of the room, leaving him alone.

"Those kids might be good Avengers someday." he thought. "If there as good as Jess says that is."

That night, in the city, Peter and Gwen were both walking down through Central Park, hand in hand, before they stopped on a bridge, then looked down at the lake.

"Weird Veterans Day, eh?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah." Peter agreed. "I wonder how the Veterans are feeling by those creeps causing a robbery during the silence?"

"I don't know, Pete." Gwen sighed. "I just don't know. But I think my Grandpa would be mad."

"What do you mean?" Peter asked.

"Well, he served during the Second World War." Gwen explained. "It was on my mom's side, by the way."

"Which outfit?" Peter asked curiously.

"82nd Airborne." Gwen explained. "He was badly wounded in September of 1944 through and was sent home afterwards."

"I wonder if my Grandpas fought in that war?" Peter mumbled.

"If they did, I'm sure they'd proud of you, just like your parents and Uncle." Gwen assured, touching his shoulder.

Peter smiled, but then turned when he spotted something dark and familiar in the treeline on the other side of the lake.

"Huh?" he muttered.

"You okay?" Gwen asked.

"I..." Peter said.

He looked at the treeline, but saw no sign of the figure.

"Nothing. I thought I saw something in there, but must've imagined it." Peter said.

"Well, relax." Gwen said. "Let's just enjoy the night together. It is the first we've had in a while after all."

Peter smiled and turned to her. "You're right. It is." he said.

They both leaned in and kissed each other, Gwen running her hands through Peter's hair, while he put his on her back.

The dark figure peeked out from the shadows of the treeline, eyeing them both.

"So, he has a girlfriend now?" he thought. "This will help me in my plan for revenge, especially since she's his friend Ms. Stacy."

He turned and walked off, the shadows of the darkness hiding himself.

Peter and Gwen broke apart from their kiss and smiled at each other, then Peter touched her cheek.

"I love you." Peter said.

"I love you too, Pete." Gwen smiled. "You're the most important person in the world to me."

"Same here." Peter smiled.

They both turned and looked at the sky, staring at the Moon happily together.

The next day, in the Avengers Tower, Tony and Steve were both in a lab, Tony working on a piece of one of his armours arms, which were all around the room.

"Weird seeing those kids yesterday, weren't it?" Tony said.

"Yeah." Steve agreed. "I'm still adjusting to this modern time, but I have to admit, they weren't too bad out there."

"No, they weren't." Tony agreed.

He kept a blowtorch onto armour arm, when the computer all around the room lit up.

"Sir, message coming in from Black Widow." JARVIS said.

"Put it through." Tony said.

"Right away, sir." JARVIS said.

Tony and Steve turned to the main screen, showing Black Widow, AKA Natasha Romanoff in a corridor of a dark place. She had her red hair tied in a bun, while wearing a black one piece suit, with a yellow belt and wrist devices around her wrists.

"Iron Man, this is Widow, I've infiltrated the base." she reported. "I'm close to finding the device."

"Be careful, Widow." Steve advised. "You don't know what's lurking in there."

"I know what I'm doing, Cap." Black Widow assured.

Tony and Steve looked at the screen, as Black Widow began moving along the corridor.

(Hydra base)

Black Widow turned left, then ducked down behind a crate as a guard came over towards her. Once he was close, she got up behind him and put a rag of chloroform on his mouth, making him fall asleep.

"Can't afford to kill anyone, otherwise they'll know there's an intruder." she thought.

She dragged the guard away and hid him in a closet nearby, before she ran off down the hallway. She peeked through a doorway ahead of her, seeing six guards on the other side, but then she looked up and spotted an air vent above her.

"Well, better that than nothing." she thought. "No way I can get past them by turning invisible."

She jumped up towards the ceiling, then pulled the vent cover off, then climbed into the vent, replacing the cover afterwards. She then climbed up the vent, then crawled along it past the room, then crawled down towards another vent shaft. She kicked it open, then dived down into another hallway, then picked the cover up and put it back over the shaft.

She moved slowly down the hallway, looking around carefully as she did, as well as using her other senses. She then heard something, making her turn around, but saw it was only a rat running from either side of the corridor.

"Okay. But don't let your guard down, Natasha." she thought. "You're not there yet."

She moved down the hallway, then pressed a a button on her left wrist device, turning her invisible. She kept moving down the hallway, then entered a room on her right. She looked around it, and saw what she was after, a microchip, that was capable of shielding a missile from scanners and radar.

She sprayed smoke from her left wrist device, showing all sorts of laser alarms going from across and diagonal across the hallway.

"I've gotten past worse than this." she smirked. "Piece of cake in my book."

(Avengers Tower)

Tony and Steve watched as she slowly approached the laser alarms, Steve looking uneasy.

"You okay?" Tony asked.

"No." Steve said. "I have a feeling something's not right, and that Widow's gonna find out the hard way."

(Hydra base)

Black Widow stopped near the first laser, then stepped over it, then bent backwards and moved under the next. She then turned sideways, then squeezed past two going diagonally across each other, then she jumped and grabbed part of the opposite wall, then moved past a few more lasers. She then jumped over another, then did a handstand near another, before handspringing over it, then she reached the microchip.

"Okay. Get this, then you can get outta here, Natasha." she thought. "This base is one of the creepiest you've ever seen."

She reached for the microchip, but once she picked it up, an alarm sounded.

"Huh?" she gasped, shocked.

(Avengers Tower)

Tony and Steve watched the screen, seeing Black Widow looking around.

"Widow, what happened?" Tony asked.

"I...I have no idea." Black Widow answered. "I didn't set off an alarm!"

(Hydra base)

"Oh, but you did." a voice said coldly.

Black Widow looked around, seeing no one around.

"Who's there?!" she called. "Come out where I can see you?!"

"All in due time, little widow." the voice smirked, which was male.

Black Widow kept looking around, seeing no sign of the man, when a net fell down onto her from the ceiling.

"Huh?" she muttered.

The net then landed on her, shocking her like a taser.

(Avengers Tower)

"AGHH!" Black Widow yelled.

Tony and Steve stared at the screen in horror, as the net kept shocking Black Widow, knocking her out cold, before the screen went blank.

"Not good." Steve gulped.

"Widow?! Widow?!" Tony exclaimed. "Widow, come in?!"

"Oh, man!" Steve said, facepalming himself. "They must've captured her. She didn't see that trap all at."

"Assemble the team." Tony said. "We need to sort out a rescue plan."

"Right." Steve said.

"And we also need to get that device from Hydra from them." Tony added.

"I know." Steve understood. "We'll figure out how to get her first, then the device."

"Agreed." Tony said. "Come on."

They both turned and walked off.

Later, the remaining Avengers all met up in the conference room.

"Okay, Widow's been captured by Hydra." Tony explained.

"What? Natasha captured?" Clint questioned, scoffing. "Oh, come on?"

"She tripped an alarm even she didn't see coming." Steve explained. "She was completely taken by surprise."

"And I thought she could get past any alarm easily." Sam said.

"So, I take we're here to form a rescue plan for our friend?" Thor inquired.

"Kinda." Tony answered.

"Who knows what Skull or Zola might do to her." Steve sighed. "So, we need to think of something fast."

"Well, we could storm the place and rescue her?" Bruce suggested.

"I doubt it." Tony argued. "They'll know we're coming for her. They'll probably kill her as soon as we start."

"Then we need to get her out stealthy, is that what you're saying?" Carol asked.

"Yes. It's our only chance to rescue her and get what she was after." Tony said. "That's how she got in, after all."

"Well, simple. Call Ant-Man and Wasp back and have them infiltrate the base to get her out." Clint suggested.

"We can't tell Hank and Janet to come back." Tony argued.

"But-" Clint began.

"Tony's right." Steve said. "Their mission is too important to call them back. We'll have to find another stealthy way in."

"But how do we rescue Natasha without them?" Clint asked. "I mean, since they can shrink, they can slip by the defences easily unnoticed."

"I get where you're coming from, my friend." Thor said. "But right now, we need another solution."

"But we're missing all three of those who have the best chance of getting in quietly." Sam argued.

"As much as I think Hulk would love to smash that place, I don't see another way in." Bruce said.

"There's got to be a way to get our friend back?" Thor questioned.

They all sighed, expect Jessica, who smiled.

"Guys, I think I know just who can help us." she said.

Everyone turned to her.

"Oh, no! Not them!" Clint said, seeing who she had in mind. "Not those kids?"

"Hey, they're more spider than I am." Jessica reasoned. "They can stick to walls and all that, which is prefect for stealth."

"Do you have complete confidence in them?" Steve asked, unsurely.

"I do." Jessica assured. "As I said yesterday, I've worked with Spider-Man and trust him. And if Ghost Spider's his partner, I'll trust her just as a much."

The others all turned to each other.

"Well, if you trust them Jess, I'll give them a chance to prove it." Carol said, touching her best friend's shoulder.

"Alright, we'll vote." Tony said. "Who votes to giving them a chance?"

Jessica shot up her hand quickly, followed by Carol, Steve, and then everyone expect Clint and Sam.

"Guess we're outvoted." Sam sighed. "I only don't think it's a good idea due to how young they are."

"Like you're not young, Samuel?" Jessica asked, annoyed. "You're not much older than they are."

"Touché." Sam blushed, embarrassed, since he was the youngest on the team.

Clint folded his arms in annoyance. "Fine. Seeing as I'm outvoted." he said, annoyed. "But I still don't like this."

"It's settled then." Tony said, as everyone lowered their hands. "Jess, do you know where we can find them."

"Leave that to me, Tony." Jessica said. "I'm sure they'll trust me more than the rest of you."

Later, Spider-Man and Ghost Spider were swinging through the city, before they landed on a rooftop together.

"At least nothing's happened today." Ghost Spider said.

"So far." Spider-Man reasoned.

Ghost Spider leaned against her partner and rested her head on his shoulder.

"You think maybe we could take the rest of the day off and catch a movie?" she said. "Would be a nice change, since we haven't seen one since the summer?"

"Well...we'll give it another hour, and then we'll see." Spider-Man said, wrapping his arm around her. "I mean, we did spend time together yesterday in the park."

"Okay." Ghost Spider smirked. "And you're right, we did. But that's not what I meant. I meant we haven't seen a movie or had dinner together for a while."

"Fair enough." Spider-Man said.

They both stared down at the city, thinking nothing could happen today.

"Hello, Spider-Man." a figure said.

Both Spiders turned around, shocked as their Spider-Senses didn't go off, but then saw it was Spider Woman standing behind them, her mask up.

"Who's...?" Ghost Spider said.

"Spider Woman? Now, this is a surprise." Spider-Man admitted.

"So, she's the reason I couldn't use that name?" Ghost Spider thought.

"It's been a while." Spider Woman said, approaching her fellow Spiders.

"Yeah." Spider-Man agreed, as they shook hands. "This is my partner, Ghost Spider."

"I know." Spider Woman said. "The others told me about you."

"Your fellow Avengers, I presume?" Ghost Spider said, folding her arms.

"Yes. That's kinda why I'm here." Spider Woman said. "We need your help."

Spider-Man and Ghost Spider turned to each other, then back to Spider Woman, wondering what she meant.

Back at the Hydra Base, two Hydra Agents dragged Black Widow along a hallway, then into a dark room.

Once she woke up minutes later, she found her arms were chained to the wall on either side of her.

"AGH!" she grunted, trying to break free.

"I wouldn't bother if I were you." came the same voice. "Those chains are made of vibranium, which are tough to break, even with your training."

"Who are you?!" Black Widow demanded.

She looked around the room, seeing the two goons that had dragged her in here standing by the door in front of them, one of which held the key to the chains. She heard the man's laughter echo through the room, before the door opened in front of her, and then the man himself, stepped in.

"I'm surprised you don't remember after all these years, Natasha." the man smirked.

He leaned down over Black Widow as a light came on, showing who he was.

"Ah!" Black Widow gasped. "It can't be..?"

She was staring at a man in blue and grey armoured suit, with a grey cape, and a mask which resembled a skull. His name, was Tony Masters, AKA the Taskmaster.

To be continued...

A/N: I hope you understand why Ant-Man and Wasp aren't part of this team-up, since they can shrink, meaning they'd be able to rescue Black Widow easily, which also meant they'd be no need from the Avengers to ask Peter and Gwen for help.
