Chapter 5: Buzzsawbras

Dozer was using his jackhammer to dig into a couple of rocks. "Maybe this rock will turn up some ore. That'll show Ty that I can find ore as good as he can." He said as he continued digging. "Hopefully this time it's not any kind of eggs." He finally broke through the rock, revealing veins of spicy ore. "Paydirt! Spicy ore! HA! Eat your engine out, Ty!" He called.

Just then, Dozer heard a rattling noise. "Huh? What was that?" He asked. Just then, the rattling got a bit louder. "Wait. I know that sound." He said. He turned to see a pack of Towaconstrictors coming his way. "Towaconstrictors?! What're they doing out here?!" He asked. One of them slithered up onto his blade and around his horns. It then started rattling its tail, its natural form of talking. "Whoa, whoa! Slow down! You know I don't speak Towaconstrictor. Let's get you guys back to the garage. Click-Clack can translate for us." Dozer said, driving back to the garage with the Towaconstrictors following close behind, after helping collect the spicy ore.

Meanwhile, the others were loading up the ore they collected into the ore station. "That's the last of it." Ton-Ton said, dumping the last bit of ore out of his bed. "Now let's see if Dozer can make good on his dare." Skya said. "I do not doubt Dozer, Skya. But there is simply no way he cannot find ore like Ty can." Revvit said. "Guys!" Dozer called. The Trux turned to see him coming back. "Well, you find any ore, Dozer?" Skya asked mockingly. "Actually, I did. I found spicy ore in a rock." Dozer said. That shocked Skya and Revvit. "Unfortunately, that wasn't all I found." Dozer said. "What else did you find?" Ty asked. "Them." Dozer said, showing them the Towaconstrictors.

Back at the garage, Click-Clack spoke with the Towaconstrictors, rattling his bits to communicate with them. The leader rattled its tail, telling Click-Clack what happened. "I still can't believe that Click-Clack can communicate with Towaconstrictors." Dil said. "Believe it. It was shocking for me too." Xee said. "Well, Click-Clack? What's it saying?" Revvit asked. "He's saying that they were driven out of their home in the Dark Forest." Click-Clack said, translating what the Towaconstrictor said. "Driven out?" Waldo asked. "By what?" Dozer asked. Click-Clack translated Dozer's question. But the Towaconstrictors looked at each other in sad shame, keeping quiet. "They won't say. I guess they were pretty frightened. Come to think of it, I'm a bit scared myself." Click-Clack said, ducking his head in. "Well, it's not scaring me. Whatever it is, it's not gonna push around our friends." Ty said. "Huh. Didn't know we considered these things friends." Dozer said. "Well, they are. And we're gonna help them get their home back." Ty said.

The Trux, Tools and Towaconstrictors arrived at the Dark Forest, looking for anything that could scare a Towaconstrictor. "So, what do you think it could be that scared the Towaconstrictors?" Dozer asked. "Maybe it could've been Screwsquitos." Ton-Ton guessed. "Don't think so. The Towaconstrictors could've easily hidden in the Bunga Bankai flowers." Ty said. "What about Scraptors?" Waldo asked. "No. Forest is too dark. To them, it's like night here." Skya said. "Scrapadactlys?" Dozer guessed. "No. Trees are too narrow for them to fly low enough." Ty said. "But if it's not any of those, then what is it?" Click-Clack asked. "Probably whatever did that." Skya said, seeing something.

Her Cranosaur eyes caught the sight of cut trees. "Trees cut down?! This has Splitter written all over it!" Dozer said, accusing their Sawmetrodon foe. "I don't think this is Splitter's doing." Revvit said, examining the cut marks on the tree stumps. "These saw marks are a lot different than the ones from Splitter's saws." "Well, if it wasn't Splitter, then who or what was it?" Ty asked. Just then, Ton-Ton heard a whizzing sound and bark cracking. "Uh dudes? I think we're about to find out!" He called. The Trux and Tools turned to see a tree coming down on top of them. "MOVE!" Ty shouted. The Trux and Towaconstrictors moved out of the way before the tree fell on top of them.

"What was that? What caused that tree to fall?" Skya asked. "M-M-Maybe it w-w-was th-those!" Click-Clack shakingly said, pointing to the where the tree fell. There, a few snake creatures slithered towards the group. "More Towaconstrictors?" Waldo asked. "Don't think so." Ty said. One of the snakes brought its head up, unveiled a big buzzsaw-like hood and hissed, revealing 4 little buzzsaws in its mouth. 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. "Buzzsawbras! Look out!" Revvit cried. The Trux got out of the way as the snakes attacked them. The Towaconstrictors hid themselves behind the tree stumps, feeling scared of their sawbladed counterparts. One of the snakes raised its chainsaw-like tail and sliced at Ty's tail. "Hey! Watch the ball!" Ty shouted, swinging his wrecking ball at the snake and knocking it into the distance. "It's dozing time!" Dozer cried, lowering his blade and dozing a few more Buzzsawbras. But one of them latched onto him and started sawing at his horns. "Hey! Not the horns! Get off me!" He shouted. "I got ya, Dozer!" Skya called, latching her hook onto the Buzzsawbra and sending it flying.

"Coming in hot, dudes!" Ton-Ton called, ramping off a rock and landing on top of some more Buzzsawbras, trapping them under his bed. "Ha! No way they'll get out of there!" He assured. But then, he felt something cutting into his bed. The Buzzsawbras were sawing into it! Ton-Ton screamed and flipped back over. "Let's go! There's too many of them!" Ty called, driving away. The other Trux, Tools and the Towaconstrictors followed close behind. The Buzzsawbras watched as they left. One of them hissed his blades.

The Trux, Tools and Towaconstrictors regrouped at their old campground, panting from driving so fast. "Okay, somebody wanna tell me what those things were?!" Dozer asked. "Looked like somebody gave the Towaconstrictors a Splitter makeover." Ton-Ton said. "They're called Buzzsawbras. They're a distant relative to the Towaconstrictor. Like Sawmetradons, they use their sawblades to cut down trees to expose woodland ore. They are very dangerous creatures." Revvit explained. "So, they're the Towaconstrictors' version of Splitter." Ty guessed. "Well, now we know what drove the Towaconstrictors out of the forest." Skya said. "Now the question remains. How're we gonna drive them out?!" Dozer asked. "That's actually it, Dozer. There isn't really anything that Buzzsawbras fear." Revvit explained. "What about the Dread Dude?" Ton-Ton asked. "Ton-Ton might be right. The Dreadtrux is the biggest fear-building creature around this place." Skya said. "Actually, that's kinda overkilling it." Ty said. "Ty is right. The Dreadtrux's presence would scare everything else in this forest." Revvit agreed.

"Then, what are we gonna do?" Click-Clack asked. Ty thought for a while, until he thought of a plan. "Hey, remember when we came here the first time and heard George singing on that slope?" He asked. "And we thought it was the Monstertrux?" Revvit asked. "So, what if we can get George to sing the same song…" Ty started. "And see if it scares off the Buzzsawbras!" Revvit completed. "Boom!" Ty said. "Tail bump." They said, tail bumping each other. "It's worth a shot." Skya said. "Could work." Dozer said. "Doesn't hurt to try." Waldo said.

The Trux brought George to the location of the Buzzsawbras. "You think you can use that song you sang to try and scare those things out of the forest?" Ty asked. "Though it may break my engine to drive these creatures out from such a peaceful location, it's my pleasure to help my friends." George said. He started singing the song. The sound echoed through the forest, alerting the Buzzsawbras. "I think it's working." Ty said. But the Buzzsawbras turned to their location and unveiled their hoods. "Or not." Ty said with worry. The Trux, Tools and George ran for their lives as the Buzzsawbras chased them away.

The group panted as they finally got away. "Well, that didn't work." Skya said. "There's gotta be another way to do this." Ty said. "Yeah? Like what?" Dozer asked. Revvit spun his bits, thinking of an idea. "What if we can build something-" He started. "To disguise George to-" Ty continued. "Look like the Monstertrux-" Revvit continued. "Like you did in the Scaretrux!" Ty said. "Boom!" Revvit said. "Wait! You want to build a bigger version of a Scaretrux for George?" Dozer asked. "Absolutely." Revvit said, hopping to a rock and sketching out the plan. "But since the Monstertrux is just a myth, how do you know what it looks like?" Skya asked. "I always pictured in my head what the Monstertrux would look like." Revvit said, showing the sketch. Click-Clack screamed at the sight of the picture. "Y-Y-You got a s-s-sick imagination, Revvit!" He said. "It's a bit complex, but I believe we can pull it off." Revvit said. Just then, the Towaconstrictors slithered up and started rattling. "What're they saying?" Skya asked. "They want to help us build it." Click-Clack said. "Then what're we waiting for? Let's Trux it up!" Ty said.

Everyone got to work on their build. Ton-Ton dropped off some wood planks. Ty and Skya were setting up some iron rods. Revvit screwed in the bits to connect the rods. The Towaconstrictors helped properly place the planks, allowing Xee to screw them into place with her tail. Skya used her hook to place a metal sheet they made in their lava forge, allowing Revvit to screw it into place. When the build was finished, the Towaconstrictors carefully lowered it on top of George. "Boom! Did it." Ty said. "Dudes, I am so impressed by this. This is totally going on my favorite build list." Ton-Ton said.

"So, this thing operates the same way as our old Scaretrux build?" Waldo asked. "Indeed, Waldo. You see, since the metal armor is so light, George will be able to control where he drives it. And because of the scary appearance and the horn that will increase the spookiness of George's singing, he'll be able to scare those Buzzsawbras out of the forest." Revvit explained. "Now this is a space I can totally be at peace in, friends." George said. "Right. Now let's go scare off some Buzzsawbras." Ty said.

The Trux arrived just as the Buzzsawbras sawed down another tree. "We gotta do this quick. Those things will saw down the entire forest." Revvit said. "It's your time, George. Make us proud." Ty said. George moved with complete calmness, ready to confront the Buzzsawbras. George started moaning his song, getting the Buzzsawbras' attention. But this time, due to the appearance of George's Monstertrux disguise, the Buzzsawbras hissed in fear and started to slither off. "It's working! The Buzzsawbras are fleeing!" Revvit said. "I take back everything I said about George's singing." Dozer said. "Somehow I don't believe that." Skya said. "You never believe anything I say." Dozer pointed out. "Touché." Skya said.

However, one Buzzsawbra, bigger and copper colored, stuck around, glaring with suspicion at George's disguise. Just as George got close enough, the Buzzsawbra leapt at him and started sawing through his disguise. "Uh, friends? We got a problem here!" George called. "That Buzzsawbra's attacking George!" Waldo said. "But how? The other Buzzsawbras fled from his disguise." Revvit said. "Guess that one's a bit smarter than the others." Dozer said. "And that's bad." Xee said. "We gotta help George! Let's go!" Ty said, racing towards George with the others following.

George tried his best to shake the Buzzsawbra off him. He even tried to scare it with a loud moan. But the Buzzsawbra just wouldn't stop sawing into his disguise. But then, Ton-Ton jumped in and swatted the Buzzsawbra off of his friend. The Buzzsawbra hissed as the Trux joined in. "Looks like you're on your own, Buzzsawbra." Skya said. "And you won't like it when it's 11 on 1." Dozer added. "You better leave with your friends and leave the Towaconstrictors alone." Ty said. But the Buzzsawbra wasn't having it. It hissed and charged in, ready to saw the Trux. But then, something hooked it. The Buzzsawbra turned and saw the Towaconstrictors hooked onto its tail. It hissed and prepared to turn its attack on them. But then, Skya hooked her hook around it and pulled it up to meet Ty's face. "I said it was time for you to leave. And now's the time to do so." Ty said. Skya and the Towaconstrictors then made like a slingshot and slung the Buzzsawbra off into the distance. "And that is that." Ty said. "Hopefully that's the last we ever see of those things." Dozer said. The Towaconstrictors slithered up to the Trux. "Glad to see that you guys finally had the courage to help us. Take care from now on. And let us know if you need anything else." Ty said. The Towaconstrictors rattled their tails.

Afterwards, the Tools arrived back at the ravine. "Boy, after all that, I sure could use a goodnight's sleep." Waldo said. "We all do, Waldo." Revvit said. "Revvit!" A voice called. The Tools turned and saw a blue Reptool scurrying up to them. "What's wrong, Pidge?" Revvit asked. "Towaconstrictors! In the ravine!" Pidge said. "Attacking?!" Click-Clack asked in a panic. "Actually, they've been helping us out. Don't even know why I panicked back there." Pidge said. The Tools were confused.

Pidge brought the Tools to the ravine. The Tools were surprised at what they saw. The Towaconstrictors were helping the Reptools with moving around their supplies. "What are the Towaconstrictors doing here?" Revvit asked. "I'll ask." Click-Clack said. He walked up to the 3 Towaconstrictors close enough and started shaking his bits to talk to them. The Towaconstrictors shook their tails, explaining. "Well Click-Clack?" Revvit asked. "They're saying that since they liked helping us with their Buzzsawbra problem so much, they decided to leave the Dark Forest for good and move here with us." Click-Clack translated. "What?! That's crazy! I like it." Ace said. "And here I thought we had enough mouths to feed when the Ottos moved here." Waldo said. "Oh, lighten up, Waldo. It's good to see that more Tools coming together like the Trux are." Xee said. "Yeah. It's exciting." Dil agreed. "Well then, welcome to the ravine, Towaconstrictors." Revvit said. The Towaconstrictors rattled their tails happily.
