Germany and a Clash of the Gods

The gala at the museum is going rather well with the violin music setting the mood and the people there conversing with one another, but this pleasant event would end up being ruined.

Loki, the God of Mischief, is casually walking around in formal clothing with his sceptre in hand and then he reaches up to a balcony, looking down at the humans.

He is trying to get his hands on a particular object named iridium, which they need for his plan for a portal to invade Earth. But the object is secured away in a lab protected by an eye scanner, so he is here at the gala to find the man to unlock the eye scanner while a mind controlled Clint is at the lab waiting for Loki.

Loki then walked down some stairs as a man was making a speech in German. He walked up to a guard and used his sceptre, which was disguised as a walking stick, to knock him out. He then grabbed the man he's looking for, who happened to be the one doing the speech. He held him down and then pulled a device out that was linked with an exact copy that Clint has at the lab for the eye scanner.

Blades then came out and spun at a fast speed and then Loki dug the device into the man's left eye, making the crowd shocked with fear and disgust. They all ran out and Loki looked and smiled in the fear he's making.

On Clint's end, the eye is replicated by hologram and it unlocks a door, meaning that they'll get their hands on the object they need.

As everyone is running out, Loki casually strolls out, while he changes into his Asgardian attire with a crown of horns and the sceptre changes back to its normal self.

When Loki walks out, a police car turns the corner and Loki shoots a blast of energy at it, causing it to flip over.

As the crowd ran, they were stopped when Loki formed in front of them, making them step back.

"Kneel before me." He requested them, but they tried to escape but more Loki's formed as projections, preventing them from escaping.

"I said KNEEL!" Loki bellowed out, slamming the sceptre on the ground. Out of fear, they did as he ordered. Seeing it, Loki smiled, revelling at all of this.

"Is not this simpler? Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth about humanity, that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power, for identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel." Loki talked down on them as he walked through them.

One of these people, an elderly man, heavily disagreed and stood up, facing the trickster god.

"Not to men like you." The man told him.

"There are no men like me." Loki smirked.

"There are always men like you." The man stated. Loki had decided to make an example out of him.

"Look to your elder, people. Let him be an example." Loki said as he pointed his sceptre at him, ready to blast him. He then fired at him but right at the last second Steve Rogers in his new Captain America uniform blocked the blast with his shield deflecting it back at Loki, shocking everyone.

"You know, the last time I was in Germany, and saw a man standing above everyone else, we ended up disagreeing." Steve said to him.

"The soldier. The man out of time." Loki chuckled as he got up. But then he and everyone heard a growl and then Ghost showed up behind Loki and snarled at him in a fighting stance spreading his fingers to show his claws, scaring the people.

"He's not the one out of time." Ghost corrected him.

"The Klyntar. I see you hide behind your beast, Mr. Wron." Loki jeered at him, surprising Ghost and Tom.

"How does he know of us already?" Tom asked.

"Barton." Ghost said, meaning that Clint Barton revealed info about them since he's a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

A Quinjet then flies above them, co-piloted by Nat, who lets out a gun attached to the vehicle.

"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." Nat ordered him through the PA.

Loki tried to blast the Quinjet but it moved out of the way and Ghost decided to go offensive and attack Loki with a punch, which hit him and he faltered, giving Steve an opening and threw his shield at him, hitting him in the face, making the crowd run away.

Steve then caught his shield and punched Loki in the face. Ghost then joined in as Loki deflected their attacks and then he hit Steve in the stomach with his sceptre, making him roll back and onto his knees.

"Ghost, let me take over." Tom suggested to his symbiotic ally.

"Alright." He said and then receded, showing Tom in his clothing, excluding his jacket and wearing his gauntlets, chestplate and leg guards. He then charged at Loki.

"Behind you!" Ghost warned and Tom turned, quickly blocking with his gauntlets as Loki tried to attack him. Tom then kneed him and formed a tendril with his fist, grabbing him and throwing him at Steve who then threw his shield at him, but Loki deflected and he went to punch him and when he did to his side, Loki swatted him with his sceptre, making Steve fly in the air but Tom caught him with a tendril and threw him at Loki and then punched him.

Loki then swiped Steve's legs making him fall and Loki placed the sceptre on his head.

"Kneel." He snarled at him. Tom swiped at him, but Loki dodged and then hit him in the side and kicked him back.

"Not today!" Steve responded to him as he spun and kicked Loki's side.

"This guy's all over the place." Nat muttered as Loki grabbed both Tom and Steve and threw them to the ground.

As Nat watched the fight, all of a sudden, she heard AC/DC music play in the Quinjet's PA. She knew who would do this.

"Agent Romanoff. You miss me?" Tony Stark asked Nat.

Steve and Tom looked up, confused.

"Who plays AC/DC during a fight?" Ghost asked, bewildered.

"I don't know." Tom said.

Up in the air, a blur was shooting through the sky and then fired some blasts at Loki, making him fly back, letting go of his sceptre.

The form then landed in front of Tom and Steve, and it was Tony Stark in one of his Iron Man suits. He then had compartments of his suit, revealing various weapons and they all pointed at Loki and Tony aimed his hands at him.

"Make a move, Reindeer Games." He casually warned him. Steve and Tom stood next to Tony and Loki looked between the three men and surrendered with his arms up as his crown phased out of existence.

"Good move." Tony commented as his weapons retracted back into the suit.

"Mr. Stark/Stark." Steve and Tom greeted the billionaire.

"Captain. Wron." Tony greeted back.

"Should've showed up earlier." Ghost muttered in annoyance.

"Yeah. Attention whore." Tom said which made Ghost snort in amusement at what he called Tony.

They cuffed Loki and put him in the Quinjet and they all flew their way back to the Helicarrier. The whole time, the three men watched the god who just sat there silently. As they were watching, Tom couldn't help but have a nagging feeling about what happened.

"Tom, what is it?" Ghost asked his friend.

"Doesn't it seem odd that Loki didn't put his all in the fight?" Tom said to him, pointing out the fact that a god didn't use all of his strength.

"You're right, it's as though he wanted to lose." Ghost realised this and now felt dread.

"Is he saying anything?" Fury asked Nat over the comms.

"Not a word." She told him.

"Just get him here. We're low on time." Fury impatiently informed her and then cut off communications.

"I don't like it." Steve told Tony and Tom.

"What, Rock of Ages giving up so quickly?" Tony asked for confirmation on what he meant.

"I don't remember it being that easy. This guy packs a wallop." Steve clarified.

"It's as though he wanted to be caught." Tom added.

"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow." Tony said with a hint of malice that Tom and Ghost picked on Tom and Steve looked at Tony.

"What's your thing, Pilates?" Tony then asked Steve, and that made the other two look at him weirdly.

"What is wrong with him?" Ghost questioned.

"Don't bother asking." Tom told him as there was a long list of things he can think of that is wrong with Tony.

"What?" Steve questioned.

"It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a couple of things, you know, doing time as a Capsicle." Tony punned and insulted Steve. Ghost growled in annoyance at his lack of respect for the man and Tom rolled his eyes. There was a pregnant pause.

"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in." Steve said in a flat tone.

"Yeah, there's a lot of things that Fury doesn't tell you." Tony said cryptically. That got the attention of the symbiotic duo.

"Is he suggesting that Fury is really doing some shady things without us knowing?" Ghost brought up, frustrated at Fury for still doing things behind their backs.

"Now we really need to keep our eyes and ears open." Tom told him.

As they flew, some lightning started rumbling and lighting up the sky. Tom noticed that Loki seemed on edge. And considering he's a Norse God, it didn't take a genius to know why he's like this.

"I think Thor has arrived." Tom thought.

"He must've pissed him off to be scared." Ghost said.

"Where's this coming from?" Nat asked in confusion about the lightning. Some lightning bolts came down right near the Quinjet and Steve noticed the look on Loki's face.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve asked him.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki answered.

"God of Thunder incoming." Tom muttered. And just as he finished that, the jet jerked as the sound of something landing on top of it. Thor Odinson has come into the picture. Tony put on his Iron Man helmet as Steve put his on.

"Do they really think they have a chance against Thor?" Ghost asked as Tony opened the rear hatch to check outside.

"What are you doing?" Steve asked. Tony ignored him as he opened the rear hatch and as he walked towards it, a man landed on the ramp on his knees. He had long blonde hair and was wearing armour that looked Norse inspired, as well as a red cape and wielded a hammer. Thor, the God of Thunder has arrived. And Loki has a look of fear on his face.

Tony was about to fire a blast at him but Thor was quick enough and hit him square in the chest with his hammer, throwing Tony back and knocking Steve over, though Tom managed to not get knocked over.

"What an idiot." Ghost said, referring to Tony.

Thor then snatched Loki by the neck and while holding him by the neck, he spun his hammer and they ended up flying into the clouds.

"That's what happens when you mess with Thor, Stark." Tom scolded the man, who groaned as he stood back up.

"Another Asgardian?" Nat asked.

"That guy's a friendly?" Steve asked.

"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost." Tony shrugs off as he strodes to the hatch, intending to go after the two Asgardians.

"Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Steve told him.

"I have a plan. Attack." Tony bragged right before he thrusted out of the Quinjet and followed after the Asgardians.

"Worst plan ever." Tom spat as Steve grabbed a parachute and put it on. Tom did grab one because Ghost can absorb a high fall.

"I'd sit this one out, boys." Nat warned them.

"I don't see how we can." Steve replied.

"These guys come from legend. They're basically gods." She added.

"There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." Steve retorted, putting the shield back on his arm and both him and Tom jumped out of the Quinjet.

As the two got closer to ground level in a forest, Ghost formed around Tom and then Steve opened his parachute and Ghost landed on the ground, forming a ring of dust to spread upon impact. He then waited for Steve to land next to him.

"Let's find Stark and Thor and then grab Loki." Ghost told Steve, who nodded and then they ran their way through the forest as they heard a loud commotion up ahead with some lightning beaming down on one area, clearly from Thor gaining power.

After bolting through the forest with ease, reaching a whole area where trees have been splintered and wrecked. They climbed up a fallen tree to see both Thor and Tony ready to strike again.

"Hey!" Steve shouted as Ghost formed tendrils to split the two apart. They looked at Steve and Ghost, with Thor taken aback to see a Klyntar on Earth.

"You two are acting like children!" Ghost scolded them as Steve then leaped off onto the ground as Ghost stayed on the tree, looking like a creature of the night.

"Now I don't know what you plan on doing here." Steve addressed Thor.

"I've come here to put an end to Loki's schemes." Thor told him.

"Then prove it. Put that hammer down." He told the Asgardian.

"Uh… yeah, no. Bad call. He loves his hammer." Tony said, making Thor swing at him without looking at him, throwing Tony back onto his back.

"You want me to put the hammer down?!" Thor barked right before he leaped in the air. Ghost got into cover as Steve put his shield up and curled underneath it as Thor struck it, causing a powerful shockwave that was so strong that Thor was thrown back and the waves caused a fair amount of destruction.

Once it was over, all four of them got up and looked at each other, Ghost receding into Tom.

"Let's just grab Loki and get out of here." Tom said to them all, something they all agreed.
