New Avenger

A 27 year old Tom was walking down the streets of London, wearing a black denim jacket and wearing a cap as he was currently on a mission by Fury. There have been rumblings of a figure named 'Nightfall' that has been fighting against criminals and gangs in place of Ghost after he and his Klyntar friend became Avengers. Fury wanted the pair to find out who this is and see if they are indeed Avengers quality.
And currently, they were following one particular person, a man wearing a tank hoodie and had tattoos all on his arm. He's part of a gang that has been abducting young girls.
"Guys like him are so disgusting." Ghost spat as they followed the man into an alleyway but hid in time as the man turned to see if they were being followed and then they entered a doorway into a warehouse.
"He just entered a door. There are so many inside. Including some girls." Ghost told Tom, who nodded and then he walked out of his hiding spot and walked up to the door, which is most likely locked and so he formed a tendril out of one of his fingers and he shot it into the keyhole, unlocking the door.
"So easy." He muttered before the tendril retracted and then Tom quietly opened the door to enter the darkly lit and largely empty warehouse. He crept towards some sounds he heard from somewhere deep in the warehouse.
He took a peek to see a whole bunch of men all discussing something around a table with guns, drinks and cards and near them to his anger was a whole bunch of cages and in them were young girls, all whimpering and crying and wearing torn clothes in handcuffs.
"Why aren't we doing something about this yet?" Ghost questioned.
"We need to see if this Nightfall shows up." Tom reminded him. For a few more minutes and then one of the men started laughing as he walked up to one of the cages and made the girl in the cage start backing up away from him.
That was when suddenly beams of purple energy formed and hit the ground surrounding all the men and where the beams hit were now on fire. Gold looking fire.
"Whoa." Tom thought, slightly in awe at this display of power.
"Yeah. Gold fire is the most beautiful in the galaxy." Ghost was also in awe right before a figure jumped down from the rafters and landed in front of the man that was by the cages and shot a blast of purple energy into the man's chest, throwing him back with the others.
The figure was male, early twenties and his arms and eyes were glowing a bold purple and even their veins were glowing. He was wearing a dark purple jacket that its sleeves reached up to their elbows.
"Scum like you guys just don't learn, do you?" This figure, clearly Nightfall, spat at the men before he formed what looked like daggers out of gold energy and the daggers looked like they were on fire.
"Awesome weapons." Tom thought as Nightfall ran up to the men and he made quick work of them all, stabbing them to subdue them and giving them a beat up that clearly showed that he was really strong. And he was using moves from Wing Chun and Tai Chi.
"If you ask me, he definitely seems like Avengers material." Ghost said, sounding eager to work with him as they watched Nightfall walk back to the cages.
"Hey, don't worry. You're alright. I'm here to save you." He assured the girls, who all looked grateful. Tom decided to walk out and greet him.
"That was impressive." He said out loud, making Nightfall turn to face him and thinking he was with those men, fired a blast of energy at him, throwing Tom back.
"Ow… I'm a good guy, you idiot." Tom groaned in pain. Ghost formed his face out of Tom and growled at Nightfall, who realised who he hit and instantly regretted what he did.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry, I thought you were with those pigs. I didn't realise you were one of those Avengers." He tried apologizing but was scared of the Klyntar growling at him.
"You do that again, you may not be an Avenger." Ghost warned him before Tom got back on his feet.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Nightfall asked, stepping back as Tom started walking up to the cages and unlocked them all with Ghost's help.
"I'll tell you later after we help these girls and get these pigs in jai." Tom said as he helped the girls out and then pulled his phone out to call the police.
5 minutes later, the police arrived, arrested all those men and there were medics to examine the girls to make sure they were okay. In another alleyway, both Tom and Nightfall were watching the whole thing play out until Tom pulled him in further into the alleyway.
"Alright, firstly, who are you? Your name clearly isn't Nightfall." Tom said, looking right into his glowing eyes. He sighed and closed his eyes as the glow in his arms and veins disappeared and when he opened his eyes, they were normal and were green.
"You're right. My name's Mike Miller. I've had these powers since I was 12. My dad is a human and my mom is what's called an Eternal. It's how I got my powers." Nightfall revealed himself.
"A what?" Tom asked, having never heard of an Eternal, not even from Ghost.
"They're beings created by a race called the Celestials to protect mankind against Deviants. And only against the Deviants." Mike explained.
"Ghost, who are the Celestials?" Tom asked.
"They're a race of aliens that existed long before life, even the Asgardians." Ghost answered and that made Tom slightly shocked.
"But wait. If the Eternals are to only deal with these Deviants, then why are you fighting crime? You're a child of an Eternal." Tom pointed out.
"Yes, that's true, but my mom said that because I'm half Eternal, I can get involved with Earth's problems while also being able to fight Deviants if need be." Mike reasoned.
"Right…. Now I know you're wondering why me and Ghost were watching you." Tom said, making Mike nod.
"Yeah. He said something about me being an Avenger." He said, sounding slightly excited.
"That's why we were watching you. Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. sent us to find you and see if you're Avengers material. And based on what we saw, you'll fit right in." Tom stated.
"Really?" Mike asked, sounding even more excited.
"Mmm hmm. With a bit of training, you'll join us the next time we're on a mission." Tom said as he pulled his phone out and called Fury. Mike seemed slightly annoyed at being told he'd need training but he understood considering who the Avengers are.
"Yes?" Fury asked over the phone.
"We've met Nightfall, He's named Mike Miller. He's got what it takes to be an Avenger. He'll need a bit of training though." Tom explained.
"Hmm. Understood." Fury replied before hanging up.
"Well. Looks like you're gonna be an Avenger. I'd suggest staying here in London so that Fury can contact you." Tom told Mike, who nodded and walked off.
"Never in my life would I expect to meet an Eternal in any way." Ghost said.
"And to learn of the Celestials… I need some McDonald's to calm my nerves." Tom muttered and Ghost found the idea of McDonald's delicious.
I thought it would be cool to introduce another OC that would be another Avenger, especially as a way to link to the upcoming Eternals movie, which I've decided to adapt eventually when it's available to watch. And he'll form a relationship with a certain character.
