Chapter 30 Glad to be Back

Xehanort's POV

"Now, let's take this monster out together!"

Upon hearing this, I looked at Eraqus in shock.

But then…I smiled, and nodded.

"Watch out Xehanort", Eraqus yelled suddenly.

I turned my head, and managed just in time to see the Darkside plunging it's hand towards us!

Luckily, we managed to dodge roll out of the way just in the nick of time.

Then, the Darkside sweeped its arm in my direction, but I managed to jump and dodge roll over it.

"It's only got one arm left", Eraqus pointed out. "Let's get rid of that one too."

"Let's go for it", I said.

Then…I ran towards the Darkside…and managed to cut off its other arm.

As it wailed out in pain, Eraqus and I regrouped in front of it.

"You ready", Eraqus asked. "Let's finish it off together!"

I smiled and nodded again.

Then…both Eraqus and I held up one of our arms…forming two Keyblades behind us.

These Keyblades merged into one, and with it…we sliced through the Darkside.

It wailed out in pain, and then…it disappeared…leaving behind a heart that floated away.

I sighed in relief. Then…I fell to my knees.

"Xehanort", Eraqus said in concern before running up to me and putting his hand on my shoulder. "You okay?"

"I'm okay", I replied before looking at Eraqus. "Thanks for saving my butt back there."

"Yeah", Eraqus said. "You owe me big time now."

"Oh", I started. "Do I?"

"Yep", Eraqus replied.

However, before this conversation could continue…something happened.

The water levels of the place we were in…began to rise!

"Oh uh", Eraqus started. "This is not good."

"Nope", I agreed. "It is not."

"What do we", Eraqus asked. "It's rising, and it's rising fast."

"We swim."

…

And swim we did. We swam until we made our way back to the beach I was on earlier.

Currently, we were laying side by side in the sand.

"Eraqus", I started. "Why'd you come here?"

"I had a feeling that you were behind that door", Eraqus revealed.

"Did you really mean what you said back there", I asked.

"I did", Eraqus replied as he sat up, me doing so as well. "Xehanort, what happened to Urd wasn't your fault."

"But it was", I stated. "You told me not to open that door, but I did anyway."

"You had no idea of knowing what would happen", Eraqus stated.

"I promised I would keep her safe", I revealed.

"And she promised she would keep you safe", Eraqus said. "You know why? Because she cared about you. We all do."

"But why", I asked. "I used darkness. You hate darkness."

"Look", Eraqus started. "We don't even know how you did that, so instead of playing the blame game, how about we find that out? Together?"

As Eraqus said this…he stood up and held out his hand.

I looked at it in shock, but then…I smiled…and took it before standing up.

"Now", Eraqus started. "How do we get out of here?"

"No idea", I replied.

But then…something happened.

A portal of light appeared in the middle of the ocean!

Eraqus looked at it…before looking at me.

"We'll go together."

…

Eraqus and I ended up falling from the sky into the ocean!

We popped our heads out of the water before looking around.

"Eraqus", we heard somebody call out. "Xehanort!"

After we heard this we turned around…and saw our classmates!

We smiled before running up to them.

"Xehanort", Vor started. "Welcome back!"

Hearing this made me smile.

"Glad to be back."
