Chapter 31 Ties to Darkness

Xehanort's POV

That Night

My friends and I were sitting in our classroom with Master Odin.

"You went to the Realm of Darkness", he asked angrily. "Do you realise how much trouble you were truly in? The Realm of Darkness is not a place that one can get in and out of so easily. You could've been trapped there for all eternity!"

Eraqus was about to say something, but I beat him to it.

"It's my fault Master Odin", I stated. "I'm the one who went to the Realm of Darkness. Eraqus, Bragi and Baldr only went in there to save me."

After I said this, Master Odin looked at me. Then, he sighed.

"Everybody else", he started. "Please leave. I wish to speak to Xehanort alone."

"But…", Eraqus started.

"Now Eraqus", Master Odin commanded. "I won't ask again."

With that, my friends gave me worryingly looks. Then…they got up and left.

"Master Odin", I started. "I overheard you talking with my classmates the other day. I honestly do not know or remember how I used the power of darkness."

"I know Xehanort", Master Odin revealed.

"You do", I asked in relief.

"I do", Master Odin replied before putting his hand on my shoulder. "I know that you did not mean for any of this to happen. However, there is a reason why you opened that door, and there is a reason why you used the power of darkness."

"Which is", I asked.

"Somehow, you have ties to the darkness", Master Odin replied. "The question is, where did these ties come from?"

"I don't know", I replied. "However, thanks to all my trips to Destiny Islands, I now remember how I got here."

"You do", Master Odin asked in shock.

"Yes", I replied. "One day, I was lying on the beach, when a man in a brown, hooded cloak came up to me. After he said a few things to me, he opened a portal."

After saying this, I remembered the words Master Odin had said to my classmates a few days ago.

"A Corridor of Darkness", I added.

"A Corridor of Darkness", Master Odin said in shock. "Who was this man? Do you know?"

I shook my head.

"No", I replied. "He didn't give me a name."

"I see", Master Odin replied. "What did he say to you?"

"Not much", I replied. "At least, not much that I could understand. However, one thing that did stand out to me…is that he called me his waypoint."

After I said this, the master seemed to be taken quite aback.

"Waypoint", he asked in shock.

"Yes", I replied, not knowing why Master Odin was acting the way he was. "Is everything okay Master Odin?"

"We need to find out more about who this mysterious cloaked man is", Master Odin revealed.

"Okay", I started. "And how do we do that?"

"You and your classmates must once again return to the Destiny Islands, and see what clues you can find."
