Chapter 36 Let Us Help You

Xehanort's POV

I knocked on Bragi's door.

"Xehanort", he said when he answered. "What are you doing here?"

"We need to talk", I revealed. "Can I come in?"

"Sure", Bragi replied before stepping aside so I could walk into his room. "So, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

With that, I took a deep breath before turning around to face Bragi.

"To defeat the Guard Armour Heartless", I started. "You used the power of Darkness."

When I said this…Bragi looked at me in surprise.

Then…he looked down sadly.

"I see", he started. "So you saw that?"

"I did", I replied before changing the subject. "Bragi, since when have you been able to use the power of Darkness?"

"Since we were in the Realm of Darkness", Bragi revealed.

"Since we were in the Realm of Darkness", I repeated in shock.

"Yes", Bragi replied. "I don't know what happened. All I know is that, when we got back, I felt that I had a sudden connection to the Darkness."

"Wait a minute", I started in realisation. "If going to the Realm of Darkness gave you ties to the darkness, do you think the same happened to Eraqus and Baldr?"

"I don't think so", Bragi replied. "At least, I haven't noticed them displaying any signs of it."

"That's good", I stated.

Then, I changed the subject.

"Bragi", I started. "Why did you not say anything to anybody?"

After I asked this, Bragi sighed sadly.

"Well", he started. "It's just…everybody was already worried about you and your ties to the darkness. I didn't want to add to that worry."

After Bragi said this, I looked at him sadly.

Then, I sat down on his bed next to him and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Bragi", I started. "We're your classmates."

After I said this, I shook my head.

"No", I started in realisation. "We're more than that. We are your friends."

After I said this, Bragi looked at me in shock.

"Despite everything that happened", I started. "Everybody has continued to be kind to me, and are trying to help me find out the truth behind my ties to the darkness. So please Bragi, let us help you too."

When I was finished saying this, Bragi once again looked at me in shock.

But then…he smiled and nodded.

"Okay", he said. "I will."

The Next Day

And so, Bragi told everybody the truth.

"I see", Master Odin started. "So you too have ties to the darkness Bragi?"

"I do", Bragi replied.

"And you did not say anything", Master Odin asked.

"I didn't want to worry anybody", Bragi revealed.

"Don't do that again", Eraqus commanded. "We can't help get rid of the darkness if you don't tell us anything."

"Right", Bragi said. "Sorry about that."

"There's no point in worrying about that now", Master Odin stated. "What we need to worry about is getting to the bottom of this."
