The following day, Cerise and Danessa were about to have a race on the track.

"Are you sure that you want to do this, wolf girl?" asked Danessa as the two stretched at the starting line.

"Shouldn't you be worrying about yourself more, fawn?" asked Cerise with a friendly smile. She then removed her hood and handed it over to Cedar.

"Good luck," said Cedar before giving Cerise a kiss on the cheek then heading over to stand against the wall for the bleachers. The two racers then took their positions on the line while Professor Badwolf walked up.

"On your marks," said Professor Badwolf as he aimed a starting pistol into the air. Once he fired it, the two girls took off down the track.

"Is it me, or is Cerise faster than she used to be?" asked Ashlynn as the crowd watched Cerise pull ahead at the turn.

"She used to be worried about her hood flying off when she would run so she would hold herself back," said Raven.

"But now she doesn't have to worry about it since she's revealed her secret, meaning that there's nothing to hold her back now," she said while smiling.

"Hey, Danessa caught up!" said Apple. The racers had entered the straight on the other side of the track and sure enough, Danessa had used that as her chance to close the distance between the two.

"You've gotten faster, Danessa," said Cerise with a smile as they ran beside each other.

"But I haven't gone full out yet," she said before lowering her body closer to the ground. This caused her to break away and enter the next turn yards ahead.

"What's with that running style?!" asked Daring as Cerise blew through the finish line with at least four yards between her and Danessa.

"Looks like Cerise is learning to use her wolf side more," said Bree.

"Coming to Ever After is never a bad time," said Sage with an amused smile.
