The following day, Hunter had brought Ashlynn to the Mirrornet Tower during lunch.
"What are we doing here, Hunter?" asked Ashlynn as they stood before the elevator.
"There's something I have to show you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone," said Hunter.
"Of course I promise," said Ashlynn who was a little confused but trusted Hunter. They then got into the elevator and headed down to the command center.
"Whoa," said Ashlynn as she looked at the huge computer terminal and cables that came up out of the floor and those that hung from the ceiling.
"Surprised?" asked Apple who was standing to the side with the others.
"What is all of this and why are you all here?" asked Ashlynn while she watched Apple and the others move to in front of the computer.
"It's a long story," said Hunter.
"Short version is that this is a supercomputer with a virus that wants to take over Ever After and we have been fighting against it for the last year," said Cerise.
"If that's the case then you have to shut it down," said a terrified Ashlynn.
"We can't, a friend of ours is stuck in it," said Apple as Raven appeared on the monitor.
"Hi," said Raven as she waved at Ashlynn.
"She's not just your friend, right Apple?" asked Cerise with a teasing tone. Apple just elbowed her in the side with a frustrated humph sound.
"So you all are trying to free⦠um, what's your name?" asked Ashlynn as she looked at Raven.
"It's Raven, and I'm sorry that Hunter has left and missed so many of your dates to help me," said the girl on the computer screen.
"Wait, you only ever missed one date," said Ashlynn as she looked at Hunter.
"Have you ever heard of time travel?" asked Hunter, who was really nervous on how to explain this to her.
To be continued.
