(A/N) So, if you've read Battleworld, you all know I'm not impressed with what they did with Kate Kane and the new girl (don't know her name, don't care enough to learn it) so I wasn't exactly planning on a sequel to my story, but then I realized...what if I fixed it? What if I did something similar to what they did, but did it right?

You let me know if you want this as a story, or to just leave their universe with "A Bat And A Spider".

A screen glitched on and revealed to be a younger Peter as he sighed into the screen.

"My names Peter Kane...for five years, I've been Gotham's one and only Spider-Man with my older sister, Batwoman. We've been fighting the city's criminals for years, keeping the city safe. And if you're watching this...I'm dead."

One month after Battleworld

Beth and Mary strolled into the Batcave as Peter and Kate are out on a mission.

"So, how's the mission going?" Beth asks Luke at the controls.

"We've got word that the Underground are going to be presenting a form of force...or something like that." Luke informs them.

"Really? Luke, it's a display of power." Peter informed him.

"Yes, that." Luke agrees.

"You know, talking to someone who doesn't exist looks kinda weird." Kate informs Peter.

Miles Morales was on his way to the science center as his father was driving him there. His father was a good man, and an amazing cop, it was just that there was a small demeanor between the two: Miles Morales loves and even idolizes the city's heroes. Jefferson Davis on the other hand despises them.

So, when the two of them are kinda stuck in a comparted space, they have no idea what to talk about since it usually always goes back to the same argument: The heroes of Gotham.

Jefferson smiles as he sees something at least try and talk about. "So, look at that. Another new coffee shop. You see that?"

"Totally. Yeah." Miles sighs, no idea how to start a conversation with his dad.

"And everyone's just lining up. I mean, what is it a coffee or a disco?" Jefferson asks.

"Dad, you're old." Miles states just as they pass a television aboard the subway stop and is talking about the Underground fights.

"...another battle between the City's Heroes and the band of Underground left half a city block destroyed, sources close to them say they plan to keep looking into the problem."

The footage was showing Batwoman coming down from a balcony and dropping on top of a member of the Underground as Spider-Man does a swing kick to take down another one of them.

And then there's the que for Jefferson to start as he begins with a scoff. "Spider-Man and Batwoman. I mean, these two come in at night, zip-zap-zop in the middle of the night and answer to no one."

"Yeah, I know." Miles sighs.

"Meanwhile, my guys are out there, lives on the line, we show our faces!" Jefferson states.

"They have families to protect." Miles states.

"Yeah? Then how come they don't just join the GCPD?" Jeff asks.

"Would the GCPD allow them to use their abilities to help others?" Miles asks back.

"Guess we'll never know, considering that they never show their faces." Jefferson states as he stops the car and Miles gets out and makes his way over to the Oscorp Science Center.

Miles has no idea how he'll be able to show his father what he sees in heroes just as he accidentally hits someone who was walking out of Oscorp, holding a briefcase that snapped open as it fell.

"Sorry, sir." Miles apologizes as he begins to help pick up some canisters that fell from the briefcase. "I was distracted, I'm so sorry."

The Scientist doesn't say anything as he picks up the briefcase and keeps walking as Miles holds one of the canisters.

"Wait, sir, you-" Miles was saying just as he felt a pinch on his hand and looked to see it was a spider bite.

Looking to see the canister was empty, Miles missed the spider crawling away after biting him.

As Miles got to the Oscorp Science Center, he was looking around in amazement as he looked at the future technology that's on its way. As well as meeting up with his friend Phin.

"Come on, Molasses." Phin Mason, Miles' best friend pulls him along. "While we're young."

As they made it through, they bumped into Peter and Kate. "Sorry."

"No problem." Miles promises as the two go on their way.

"Okay, what is here that the Underground would want?" Kate asks as she looks around the room and sees nothing much to look at.

"Maybe the new power source Oscorp is presenting? Or maybe that new tech that they're putting together for Roxxon. That new armor might be even stronger than ours soon." Peter says as he starts geeking out over everything he sees.

"Let's save you loosing focus after we stop the Underground." Kate reminds Peter.

"Right. Eyes on the prize." Peter agrees just as his senses went off and bunch of windows shatters, followed by the Underground storming the place. "Speaking of which..."

Everyone is sent running and screaming as Peter and Kate race to change into their suits.

Barbra Gordon and a swarm of the GCPD make it to the place as everyone is evacuating.

"I want a perimeter, two blocks, no one gets away!" Barbra tells them just as the Crows drive up with Commander Kane.

"What have we got?" Kane asks Barbra.

"The Underground. Batwoman and Spider-Man have been reported on sight." Barbra says as they have both agreed to work on trying to stop the Underground.

Miles was running away just as Spider-Man leaped down and got him out of the way before some new styled bullets could shoot either of them.

"You okay?!" Peter asks Miles who looks in shock.

"You're...you're Spider-Man." Miles whispers.

"Costume kinda gives it away, I suppose." Peter jokes and sees an opening to get Miles out. "Okay, you need to get to that exit, I'll cover for you."

"Okay, okay, yeah, okay!" Miles sighs as he tries to control himself.

Batwoman shoots a grapple at one of the Underground members and flings them across the room just as one of them comes in and they're wielding some new weapon.

This being some strange new pair of gauntlets that form around the guy's hands.

"Okay...that's new." Kate comments.

"Tinkerer says to get to the reactor, ignore everything else!" One of the Underground states as she races over to Peter who quickly flips and kicks the girl into the wall, rendering her unconscious.

"Who's the Tinkerer?" Peter asks. "That's such a lame name. The Tinkerer. Look out, here comes the Tinkerer!"

"Can we not focus on that, and focus more on this reactor?" Kate asks as she tosses a batarang at a light which fell and crashed on a member.

"Right, it's on display, I'll go check it out." Peter promises as he flips around, webs two members of the Underground and makes it down to the display room.

"Kate, everything all right?" Luke asks.

"Trying to fight off the Underground, can't talk, Luke!" Kate states as she sounds out of breath.

"Right, sorry. Spider-Man, how you holding up?" Luke asks and gets static. "Spider-Man?"

"Peter, you okay?" Beth asks, hoping he answers back.

"Kate - - - -you - - - - need help - -!" Peter's voice came through.

"Kate, Peter's in trouble!" Luke warns her. "His comms are glitching out, but he says he needs you!"

"I'm on my way to him now!" Kate says as she heads down the same way where Peter went. "Luke, I - - - - "

"What's she saying?" Mary asks.

"Batcave to Batwoman, you there?" Luke calls and gets nothing but static and their suits glitching out.

"What's going on?" Beth wonders.

Miles was running for his life when he finally made it outside and sighs in relief.

"Spider-Man. I just saw Spider-Man in action." Miles sighs in shock just when his head suddenly buzzed, and he grabbed it in confusion...just as an explosion went off.

Barbra and Jacob looked in shock as an explosion consumed the entire top of the building as tons of rubble was dropped on top of the source.

Gordon and Kane both yelled at their men to get in there as fast as they could as Miles watches in shock and suddenly begins to run as tons of rubble begins to fall down and crashes around him.

But that wasn't the most shocking thing that fell...because as he got a safe enough distance away, he saw a mask flowing in the wind.

The mask of Spider-Man.

"What...?" Miles asks as he picks it up and sees it's scorched from the explosion and grabs it before the wind could steal it back and he looks up to the explosion and is waiting to see a web shoot from the destruction and sees nothing.

"Batcave to Batwoman, you there?" Luke tries to contact them, but no one responds. "Batcave to Spider-Man, you read me?"

Still no response.

"Kate?" Luke calls for someone to respond but gets nothing but static back.

"Peter, you there?" Beth asks back, waiting for someone to respond and only gets static as well.

"Okay, not to worry. Maybe they're in a radio dead zone." Luke says...just seconds away from getting a reading back from their suits. "See?"

But Beth doesn't look relieved as she looks in shock and horror. "Luke..."

Luke looks to the screen and saw...the suits show both of them have flatlined. "No, no, no!"

"In breaking news, we've received news of an explosion in downtown Gotham."

"We're still waiting on the police to confirm if there are any victims. This story's evolving rapidly all throughout Gotham."

"We heard this really loud boom, there was smoke everywhere..."

"Roxxon has arrived on the scene and contained the fire."

"They are confirming that two bodies were discovered in the wreckage. We're still waiting for further details."

"Witnesses are confirming that Batwoman and Spider-Man both appeared on the scene and in fact were in the middle of a fight against the Underground when the explosion consumed the building."

"An explosion seems to have silenced all of Gotham City as they wait for the report on who was found."

"We are now able to confirm that siblings Peter Kane and Kate Kane have..."
