Oneshot-focuses on Loki moments after the events in Thor and before his appearance in The Avengers with references to The Dark World. Reeling from his father's rejection, Loki is flung across the universe. Hopelessly falling, he is caught up in a childhood memory. He deals with what he find at the farthest reaches of the universe with a new plan in mind- going home.

She was fragile. He definitely wasn't. A Prince of Asgard. They expected nothing less of him. Even in his deepest of feelings, he couldn't comprehend how it was that this mere mortal has reduced him to his basest of instincts. And somehow, his assumption that she was a much more fragile being than he was seemed like such a lie.

Loki and Maren spent a majority if their childhood together. It is not until Maren is stripped from Asgardian life and thrown into the chaotic world of the Wild Realm do they learn how much they mean to one another.
