Aang was looking out the window wondering where Appa was currently

"What's up," Toph said popping her head from the bottom of the window suddenly

Though Katara then came run after she heard a loud cry all of sudden.

Found her brother rolling on the ground laughing and point at Aang who was holding his head as apparently Toph had managed to headbutt him...hard.

She did not know he was at the window itself just that there was someone nearby(that being Sokka) thus why she was holding her head on the other side of the window

"Seriously it called knocking ever heard of it, "he asked as Katara was healing him

"No, why," Toph said as she really had not since had managed to never 'see' or hear anyone knocking before

"You announce your presence. That what you do at doors," she said

Sokka raised an eyebrow at this as though also Toph was holding her head it seems to be more out of shock as her head seem to hit Aang's like a boulder.

"Anyway, want to hang out as that is what people do to become friends right," she asked curiously.

"There are so many places to see in the city and within the walls as well," she said going on and on for a while

Aang then just sighed a bit as he kind of knew that feeling to some degree. She found someone her age and wanted to hang out with them somehow. Sure he had Bumi and Kuzon but was not sure Toph had anyone else other than him at the moment.

"What about lakes," Katara asked

She did not want to get in the way of Aang have a friend that more closer to him in age yet still wanted to try a practice waterbending too. Toph seems to know he was the Avatar during their first meeting. So maybe he could show off some of his training to Toph who could at least see his movement at least. They could tell she was blind yet able to see within a certain range around her somehow. Something Sokka tested himself as he acts up outside of her range but once he got inside though. Toph asked Aang what he was doing even though he was behind her the entire time.

"Lakes, Lakes...Oh there is Lake Laogai," Toph said

"Lake Laogai," Sokka repeated

"Its vacation spot that is pretty well known where I have a..." Toph says before trailing off

"Toph? Toph are you okay" Aang asked waving a hand in front of her face.

"Not sure that going prove anything since she is blind you know," Katara said.

"Man would it mess up if she were brainwashed or something. That is true though, right" Sokka said

"The royal family is brainwashed" Toph replied.

"Huh!?" Team Avatar said before taking Toph into one of the rooms further inside.

"Repeat that again," Aang asked

However, Toph did not respond until Sokka asked the question

"The royal family is brainwashed" Toph stated

"Sokka, she keeps saying the royal family is brainwashed when you asked her about herself so that means this girl is royalty," Katara stated.

"How many members of the royal family are brainwashed currently," Sokka asked

"Only the Earth Queen has brainwashed currently everyone else in the royal family is dead," she stated.

Aang who gotten thirst and when to get some water and was drinking it when he heard this. Once that registered he spat out his drink all over Toph who he was facing upon realizing this.

"Seriously this girl is the Earth Queen and she is brainwashed too," Sokka said.

"Yes, I am the Earth Queen and I was brainwashed to follow orders of Long Feng and the Da Li," she said in response.

Apparently what neither Long Feng nor the Da Li knew was that everything she overhears while in this state was committed to memory. Not her conscious memory but her brainwashed selves' memory. So all those times they talked freely around her while she was in this state. She stored away that knowledge and it was now being revealed to Sokka who by chance managed to trigger it himself.

"Aang you are not going to like this but we need to use her" Sokka said

"What are you talking about she is being controlled and you want us to use her as well. I might have just met her but she wants to be my friend. I do not want to use my friends" he said

"Do you want your friends to die?" Sokka asked

"No," he said

"Toph why are you the only royal family member left," he asked her

"Long Feng and the Da Li killed everyone else," she told her.

The guy seems to gloat about his control over Toph while she was in this state at the time. Never knowing she recording everything he said to memory.

"See, if she can not enter into this state then her life might be endangered, If we just free her and then run than own lives more be in even more danger as we would have two of the three nations after us now," he told him

Though that is what Sokka said leaving this backdoor open for anyone to use was not a good thing either so he closed it to everyone but Team Avatar. What they were doing was not right but undoing it without a means to prevent backlash or it just is redone but stronger. That was not really right either.

So to fully close the backdoor they discovered to anyone but themselves they changed the trigger so that it could not be activated by luck anymore. Making so that only the correct trigger or their altered one would work.

Toph then blinked as she then continued with her previous thoughts without being aware of what just happened to her

So about lakes, there is that but I do not like that much really like it that much. Feels weird going there so could we go somewhere else...if we have to go to a lake at all she asked.

Sure anywhere else you like to go how about somewhere I can show off some of my earthbending. Sure I am not that good at all yet but I think could pull off something he said

Toph seemed pretty excited over this and was interested in seeing this herself

While Long Feng did not know he has just made a powerful enemy one that only becomes more enraged and anger at him as time went on. Especially once he found out about that other secret that he was keeping
