200 years have passed since the dawn of quirks. It has been a period of time plagued by crises after crisis. Now, after 200 years, the world has finally settled into a period of calm following the rise of the number one hero, All Might. Crime rates across the globe were the lowest they had been in over a century. Life was finally starting to resemble the calm of the pre-quirk era. But for all that things had progressed, they were just as unprepared for the appearance of certain quirk as the pre-quirk humans were for the first quirk.

It was a power that an uncountable number of people had wished for at least once in their life, both before and after the appearance of quirks. And then someone was granted it. And the world was not prepared.

The first who fell victim to the quirk was no one remarkable, just a college student you could find anywhere. He had been about to do a late night snack run to a nearby convenience store when he was suddenly assaulted out of nowhere. It came from nowhere and he was unconscious on the ground before he could react. He would wake hours later, bruised and confused. Oddly enough, nothing seemed to be missing. Since he couldn't recall anything out of the ordinary that would point out a culprit he reluctantly decided not to report anything to the police. It would only waste his time since he couldn't provide any leads. So he ranted a bit about it on social media and called it a day.

This was but the first incident, it would be far from the last. But there were variations between incidents. Some would have an experience just like the first victim, others would just feel like they had just been slapped, but every now and then someone would be hit with literally bone-breaking power. When the public finally began to take notice of the incidents, only two things connected all the incidents.

One, no one was spared. Young or elderly, healthy or sick, strong or weak, famous or unknown. And it didn't matter where you were, there could be two incidents on opposite sides of the world on the same day. The earliest incidents were mostly limited to Japan, though the culprit had long since expanded their field of operation.

Two, no one was able to detect what happened and react to it. There was a famous clip of royalty from an european country being subjected to it on live tv inside of one of their castles. And no one on security detail noticed the slightest thing before it was already over. It was even said that All Might himself had been subjected to it, though no footage of it existed. There was also a rumour amongst the criminals in Japan that the reason the symbol of evil himself, All for One, was on the warpath was that not even he had been able to escape it and he was determined to make whoever did it pay for it.

The public slowly began to fear the culprit, which after a long war on the internet had finally been dubbed 'Phantom' (It had been close, but it had barely managed to edge out a victory against 'The Spanish Inquisition'). Almost every country called on their heroes and police to capture the culprit. But no matter how much they investigated or what quirks they used to search for the culprit, they never found the slightest trace of the criminal. There didn't seem to be any pattern to who was hit and how they were hit.

This would continue for years before one day, all the incidents suddenly stopped. The public celebrated, the politicians tried to take credit, the police were checking arrest logs and obituaries. But no true answer was ever found. Not who did it, why they did, how they did it (a quirk was assumed though) and not why they suddenly stopped. After a long debate, it was assumed they died somehow.

Musutafu, Japan - At the scene of one of the last incidents

A teenager could be seen unconscious at the ground. Everyone around him was bemoaning that someone else had fallen victim to 'Phantom' again while doing their best to help him. Though the incident was especially odd since he wasn't just hit once, but thrice over a short period of time. It happened every now and then that someone was hit twice in a short amount of time, but thrice was VERY rare.

Unnoticed by everyone, a single teen was staring at the scene with a different emotion than the rest. He had a look of dawning horror on his face. It took several long seconds for him to gather himself and when he did, he rapidly left the scene.

Later that same day, the same teen can be found sitting at his desk at home, staring blankly at a notebook. He just sits there for a long time, staring at it, or specifically at what's written on one of its pages. That is until he's interrupted by a call.

"Izuku, the dinner is ready!"

"Alright Mom, I'm coming!"

As he rises from his seat and turns to leave his room, he can't stop himself from turning his head to take a last look at what's written before quietly leaving his room.

Written in the notebook is the following.

Name: Midoriya Izuku

Quirk: The ability to punch someone over the internet.

Omake 1: All for One

As All for one used a mobility quirk to evade another punch from his nemesis, All Might, he once more cursed the one known as Phantom. In his rage of being humiliated in front of his underlings, he had gotten sloppy and All Might had been able to use that to corner him. If he didn't already detest All Might with every fiber of his being, only the thought of how many resources he had just lost to the number one hero would be more than enough to give him an undying hatred for him.

But really, since the cause of all this was that damnable Phantom, he swore that even if it was the last thing he did, he would track that bastard down and use every torture technique he had accumulated over the last 200 years to make them regret ever doing this to him.

Distracted by his rage, All for One didn't notice the backhand until it was almost too late to do anything. Barely managing to activate some of his defensive quirks, he could only take the hit and go flying. After crashing through a couple of buildings, All for One rose and glared at the insufferable blond before him. Enough was enough, Phantom would just have to wait his turn, All Might was apparently asking for it!

The fight grew much more serious after that. The area around them turned into rubble as the two titans clashed. Torrents of fire met punches with hurricane-like force behind them, waves of water with the force of a tsunami behind them met more punches, tons of earth and rubble surged and threatened to swallow All Might, but were met with yet another punch. It pissed off All for One to no end!

Really, learn some goddamn variety already! How someone could climb as far as All Might had by doing nothing but punching stuff was a mystery to him. Because that was all All Might basically did. He punched at problems until they went away.

It had to be said though that this was a fairly biased view and while mostly true, in the end it wasn't, as All for One learned when All Might grabbed his leg and proceeded to slam him around before twisting around and tossing him through a couple more buildings.

The battle raged back and forth for a while longer before finally reaching the climax. All Might had overextended in his rage when All for One had insulted his predecessor and how enjoyable it had been to rip her apart.

All Might could almost feel how time slowed down around him as All for One's arm morphed into some kind of eldritch monstrosity before it was launched towards his body. Drawing as much as he could on One for All, he tried to shift out of the way, but in horror he realised it wouldn't matter, it would still hit him. So in a moment of grim realisation, he decided that if this were where his story would end, then he would ensure that he dragged All for One down with him!

But then, even as All Might drew deeply from One for All and threw the strongest punch he had ever thrown before, something changed! As a heavy thud resounded around them, All for One's head was launched towards the ground, throwing his aim off and making it hit the ground instead.

Despite being filled with disbelief, All Might refused to let this chance get away from him. So filled with grim determination, All Might's punch met the head of All for One!

Japan, Musutafu - Moments earlier

A nine years old Midoriya Izuku can be seen trembling in rage as he finally finished reading the 12 page essay on All Might that some hack named Darkseid89 had published on one of the forums he frequented. It was extremely biased and was basically nothing but a rant against All Might. They were clearly manipulating the numbers in it and even inventing stuff! For example, like hell All Might went to the USA because he was a coward and afraid of some villain in Japan!

Izuku was overcome with rage! How dare he! But then, it rapidly began to drain out of him, and before he knew, he had already calmed down. Then he got started on his own essay on why Darkseid89's essay was a piece of crap. SmallMight41 was not going to let this go unopposed!

What Izuku didn't know was that he wasn't quirkless, but had a quirk which strength was dependant on the strength of his emotions, specially his anger, rage and frustration. And it was possible that he would never know that he had made Darkseid89 pay a huge price for publishing that essay.

Back with All Might and All for One

All Might just stood there, staring down at the headless corpse of his nemesis. It hadn't moved at all ever since he crushed its head. It didn't seem like he had a resurrection quirk at least. He was going to ensure the cremation of that corpse to, and maybe spread the ashes all over the world. You could never be too certain with that asshole.

At least he had finally done it, he had managed to fulfill the goal of the bearers of One for All! He had managed to stop All for One! While killing him left a bad taste in his mouth, he couldn't bring himself to regret it. He would rather carry that sin with him for the rest of his life than give that bastard a chance to get away.

Hearing his mentor, Gran Torino, and his sidekick, Sir Nighteye, calling him, he turned towards them and threw a fist in the air, signaling his victory. In the last moments before they approached, he couldn't help but consider the timely assist he got in his time of greatest need.

He would recognise that anywhere. That was Phantom. He chuckled to himself, to think he would be saved by another villain. But regardless of everything else Phantom had done over the years, just for today, Toshinori Yagi would consider Phantom to be the world's greatest Hero.
