A/N: Hey everyone, I'm finally happy to announce that the 2nd Phase of the CMV (Custom MonsterVerse) is finally here, starting off with a Kong story! I hope everyone enjoyed the actual film of Godzilla vs Kong, however there are some things I would like to get out of the way first if you are new to this series:
First off, this Monsterverse of mine is taking place in the Legendary Monsterverse but it in some ways it is way different. In the actual Monsterverse, Dr. Serizawa dies in Godzilla: KOTM, while in my version, he dies in my version of GVK. That is an example of how this universe is different, the monster designs remain the same, but I tweaked Godzilla's design over the events of the first phase of my Custom Monsterverse.
To make things simple, if you want a better understanding of this Custom Monsterverse and this story here in general, I would advise you to go back and read the stories from Godzilla vs Kong (Fan-Made) to the last story in Phase 1 which is When a god bleeds (Monsterverse Story 10)...
Otherwise, if you want to go ahead and read this story blind, be my guest. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer in a new beginning ;)- KaijuCrazy02
The year is 2033, ever since the defeat of the MechaGodzilla in which belonged to Monarch, Godzilla has fallen off the radar to nurse his wounds received in a grueling fight against his mechanical doppelganger and Titanosaurus. All has been silent, fairly too silent...
Recently, a new crime type has emerged in the world. Titan DNA trafficking...
Various echo-terrorists across the globe are gaining access to Titan DNA through unknown means, rumors have it that the government is giving it to them as a way to smear Monarch as a villainous organization...
Due to Godzilla's absence, all eyes are on who many people deem to be a second alpha titan, Titanus Kong. The giant ape has proved himself to be an ally with Godzilla after aiding him in several battles over the years, and now with the Big G out of commission temporarily, Kong vows to protect the Earth and his allies to the best of his ability.
Anti-Monarch organization, Apex, which is under the umbrella of the Earth's Rightful Rulers (Monarch's rival company,) is starting to drill into the Hollow Earth after receiving messages from the evil Ren Serizawa that a mysterious element exists in it, one that he calls Element X...
Monarch and it's partner company under the same umbrella, the Global Defense Force, are doing their best to stop Titan DNA samples from getting into the wrong hands while Alan Jonah spearheads a secret mission to destroy Kong and his island in order to flex their muscle against the titans, and to prove that human kind is the dominant species on the planet Earth...
(Kong: From king to a god)
(Prologue, 2031)
A black Chevrolet '55 was pulling into the driveway of Denham University, named after famous filmmaker from the 30s by the name of Carl Denham. The director had mysteriously vanished with his crew of actors and others that tagged along with him for the trip. They rode the ship known as The Wanderer, their final resting place was on Skull Island which was now known as Monster Island due to the influx of several titans living on it...
"I thought the Hollow Earth was just some gigantic cave with a complex system of tunnels dug by subterranean titans, not some inner-world." Sam Brody told Madison as he drove up towards the large university. For years he had doubted the existence of that type of underground world in which the theory suggests, he believed that there was a core to the planet, but it was always how scientists drew it up, first the crust, then the mantle, then the outer core, and lastly the inner core. Sure there may be pockets here and there, but an entire hollow planet was too bogus for him to believe.
"This guy has done studies on the Hollow Earth several times, he's one of the famous scientists on YouTube for crying out loud. His interview on the Titan Truth Podcast has garnered several million views, and hundreds upon thousands of listens on Spotify." Madison replied, the man she was referring to was Professor Nathan Lind.
Nathan Lind was one of the top scientists at Denham University, and at that point was world famous for his various Hollow Earth theories. He even claimed to have lost his brother due to some type of vortex that would take you into the inner world, the death of a loved one was too personal for him to fake, which made Madison believe it to be true. Not to mention the fact that Dr. Lind had wrote several books and articles about the Hollow Earth as well!
Sam laughed cynically towards this counter-argument of Madison, he couldn't believe that she trusted Nathan Lind. He was like one of those conspiracy theorists that are found on the internet with bogus claims of lizard people, too ridiculous to believe, their ideas too dumb to be looked into.
"Babe, don't kid yourself-" Sam began as he turned his head to face the parking lot of the university, pulling into a space to park their vintage car.
"I hope you realize that Bernie offers them to smoke some pot on that podcast, they're high out of their minds when they shoot the breeze. It's like metal musicians writing songs while under the effects of drugs. They could probably say that there are pink elephant titans magically floating around on clouds in a fictional world, and you would probably still believe it."
Madison smirked when Sam mentioned 'pink elephants,' knowing all too well that it had to be a scene from an old Disney movie that she liked to watch as a child.
"Did you seriously just cite Dumbo as a way to prove a point?" She asked as Sam put the gear into park, the vehicle came to a halt.
"Are you seriously believing what these crackpots have to say? I'd say this Dr. Lind freak needs to take off the tinfoil hat, and get back on his meds..." Sam replied as he left the car, shutting the door as Madison got out with him.
The two walked down the street, continuing their conversation until they reached the massive building that was Denham University. It was late at night, but they noticed that one of the lights was on within the building in one of the upper floors.
The two entered the building, and made their way up to the source of the light. Walking into a room that was dimly lit, it had a cool vibe to it with the aqua marine lights in the rooms next to it. Within the center of the room sat a round table with a bunch of files and papers on them, some of these papers had drawings of Godzilla and Kong on them.
Scattered around the room were model globes, one of them was a view from the side at the various layers of the Earth according to science. Sitting on a red sofa was a cardboard box containing Dr. Lind's most recent book which was simply titled "Hollow Earth."
"What are you doing here?" Nathan asked as he turned his head to see Madison Russell and Sam Brody standing in the doorway, both were silent upon entering.
"Sorry for not introducing ourselves, I'm Madison Russell, and this is my friend or co-worker, Sam Brody." Madison explained, Nathan nodded his head. A Russell and a Brody together? What a trip!
Emma Russell nearly ended the world in 2019, and Ford Brody was killed a few years ago, both of their parents were dead, mother and father both. These two adults were the last of their kind in terms of family. Nathan Lind wanted to say something, but he remained silent, still upset at the fact that he lost his brother due to a failed mission to the Hollow Earth.
"Okay...and?" Nathan asked, his question on why the two Monarch officials were here in his office hadn't been answered yet, and he wasn't in the mood for talking right now.
"No need to be a dick about it, what's your proble-" Sam Brody's sentence was cut off when Madison raised her hand in front of his mouth.
"Apologies, my friend here isn't really in the right mind at the moment too..." Madison explained, nervously laughing as she didn't want a confrontation to start when she was needing answers.
"None needed..." Nathan grumbled as he got up, heading over to the red sofa to pick up the box and slide it under a shelf nearby in which was against the wall.
"Anyways, we're here to ask you about the Hollow Earth. Monarch has been wanting to learn more about it, how it relates to the titans. We've been wanting answers ever since the bedrock was completely hollow at Monster Island during the 1973 Landsat mission on the island, and we've been wanting to learn more ever since. We've slowly been getting closer and closer to it." Madison said, finally explaining to the professor on why the two of them had unexpectedly arrived at his office during the midnight hour.
"Going into the Hollow Earth is a dangerous game to play, Ms. Russell...those two creatures that appeared in 2026, those monkey people, all of them come from that place. It contains unforeseen dangers, titans that may hold greater power than the worst ones that we've dealt with. Hell, even getting to it is dangerous without the right tools." Nathan replied, warning the two of them that Monarch shouldn't be screwing with things that they have no idea about.
"Outpost 04 created the spire that punctures the ground so it sticks into the top of the Hollow Earth, we have camera feed at some of the leafwings that fly around. HellHawks too, sounds like getting to it wouldn't be so dangerous." Sam Brody responded, remembering that the outpost had a large device that acted as some sort of security camera to the location before it was destroyed by sagoths in order to rescue Ren Serizawa from interrogation.
"Okay, how do you plan on getting to the Hollow Earth? Apex sent my brother on a mission to it at the North Pole. He went in unprepared, and I never saw him again after that day. No last goodbyes, nothing. Puncturing the ground is great, but that will only cause problems. If you wish to create an opening for those monkey people, and God knows what is down there, to come up and attack us, that sounds great." Nathan groaned, he didn't want anyone to mess with the Hollow Earth after his brother's mysterious disappearance.
"Apex, you worked for them?" Madison asked with narrowed eyes, remembering how they were under the same umbrella as the Earth's Rightful Rulers. An organization that was practically going to war with Monarch.
"Yes, I'm aware of all the troubles our companies have had. I'm only an employee, not an enforcer. The best places to get into the Hollow Earth are either the North and South Pole, isolated from the mainland, no civilization in sight." Nathan replied, making his sentence fast to ensure that he was not their enemy, he wasn't like Floyd Sanders or Alan Jonah, who literally fought for their company.
"Monarch has been building one in Antarctica for several years now, we've been closely studying your book ever since it was finished to try and find more answers. You working with Apex just brings us more questions, they always are one step ahead of us as it seems. We know Apex is probably wanting to get to the Hollow Earth like it's the space race or something, how do you all plan on doing that?" Sam asked, a smirk on his face as he felt that they could finally receive an answer.
"Technological whizz and the CEO of Apex has been watching us build a vehicle specifically designed to enter the Hollow Earth through the pathways at the poles, it is called the Hollow Earth Aerial Vehicle, or you can call it HEAV for short. When you enter it, you get sent several thousand feet within a matter of seconds, this process will destroy your body, and it is why we created the HEAVs, so that we may one day enter that location. The rate at which you get launched isn't the deadliest part, the gravity switches itself within seconds, it will kill you too..." Nathan warned.
(the GvK movie says that Nathan is with Monarch, in my version he was with Apex...just an fyi)
"I'll make note of that." Madison replied with a smile before glancing down at a picture. It was a photograph of Nathan Lind with a person that was presumably his brother, she sighed and kneeled down next to Nathan.
"I'm sorry about your brother, Mr. Lind...What they done to your brother is sinister at most." She continued, Nathan grew somewhat of a smile on his face at her sorrowful voice.
"A human mouse for Walter Simmons' experiments, it's truly twisted what they done to him...it's why I left Apex in the first place. I cannot stand by a human who views humans, especially those working for you, as disposable beings." Nathan replied, biting his tongue to try and hold back the urge to weep about his brother.
"You could join us, we treat our fellow employees with the most love and respect." Sam said in a joking tone, trying to get Nathan to join Monarch.
"Please don't use my brother's disappearance as some sort of marketing tactic, I'll join you when I feel like it..." Nathan growled, his fist curling into a ball.
Madison looked back at Sam and mouthed the word "rude" to him before turning to face Nathan once again, she would have basically the same words as Sam but more friendly, and not so much as a way to persuade him to join.
"What happened to your brother is tragic, and it is criminal to how Apex views its workers and peers. However, Mr. Brody is right when he said that we care and treat our employees with respect, safety, and love. If you need some time alone, take as much time as you need, but we could use a guy like you. One with a brilliant mind." Madison spoke softly with a sweet smile, Nathan smiled back, her voice was soothing and comforting for the emotions he was feeling at the time.
After they received the information about the HEAVs, Captain Gordon was fast to send a battalion of troopers from the G-Team to an Apex base to steal some of the advanced technology. The Hollow Earth vehicles were stored safely at the outpost located within Antarctica, sitting within a docking bay waiting to be used.
Two years later is when the trouble started to begin, once again...
(Chapter 1: More than just a giant ape)
"Approaching the storm, employees please buckle up." A feminine monotone voice spoke over the intercom within the airship, Alan Jonah and Floyd Sanders buckled up to their seats as they sat in a lounge room of the gigantic zeppelin.
The way the Apex and ERR airships were made was complex, these massive zeppelins had many rooms within them because they were so large. They were also heavily armored much like the one that flew over New Mexico to attack Ogra and her son, Gorgo. (See Gorgo: Monsterverse Story 8 for details)
It contained a massive docking bay for various aerial vehicles, it also contained an armory for troops. It also had escape pods if it was to be going down for whatever reason for a crash landing. At the lower levels of the zeppelin was a large lounge area which is similar to a boeing 747-8 private jet except it was much more grand and futuristic in size. Every seat within the lounge room, and every room at that matter had a seat belt if the zeppelin was to go through rough weather.
"Looks like we're in for nasty weather." Alan Jonah grumbled as he soon felt the entire room shaking as it went through the clouds, lightning struck the armored plating of the gigantic zeppelin multiple times as it powered through the storm clouds that surrounded the outsides of Monster island.
"One eye is taken for an eye!" Floyd sang, referencing the Creedence Clearwater Revival song: Bad Moon Rising, Alan Jonah groaned while rolling his eyes.
"Anything but that, Sanders..." The Englishman grumbled.
"Why? I'm just trying to lighten up the mood!?" Floyd playfully protested against his boss.
"This is a serious operation, Floyd. We must be ready if this ship is to go down, remember we are heading into titan territory that isn't just Kong's anymore. Monster Island is also Godzilla territory as well as several other ones that live here." Alan Jonah warned, he knew the dangers Monster Island held, and although he wasn't afraid, he wasn't dumb enough to not take it seriously.
"What about Alison Ford? Can't we just contact her?" Floyd asked as he took a bite out of a banana he had grabbed from the breakfast room down the hall from where they were sitting.
"She is causing titan attacks to distract the public and Monarch from our trafficking of titan DNA, we're trying to get hold of the best ones we can find. Walter Simmons is planning on creating a titan bio-weapon that can destroy Godzilla, or at the very least, rival him in power." Alan Jonah explained.
"So if our airship crashes, we're screwed?" Floyd asked.
"Unless we can find a place to take shelter at, you would be right. The island has many places we can find shelter at though, I'm confident that all will go well for us. The Iwi village, and Outpost 62 offers many places to seek shelter in." Alan Jonah answered with a grin, one of those two options would have to be forcefully taken over...
(Location: Iwi Village)
A young girl eagerly watched as her mother began to place some ground up leaves into the shape of a doll, a Kong doll to be exact. A thick black cloth material would be knitted over the ground up leaves to complete the doll. Some vines would be needed to hold the doll together, to prevent the cloth from breaking apart so the filling wouldn't spew out of it, leaving it ruined.
The girl was deaf, and so were her parents. They perfectly fit into the Iwi society as most of them were mute people, very few of them ever talked, some of them knew some English, but only two or three of them spoke English, everyone else was silent.
"Go get vines." The girl's mother spoke to her with sign language, the deaf child nodded before happily trotting out of their hut to go and receive vines from a tree. Taking a knife to cut some smaller parts of them off of the large creepers in which wrapped around the tree near the bottom of it.
As she cut the vines, she looked around as everyone went on to do their daily tasks. Some people went to fetch water from nearby rivers, the warriors of the village painted themselves and headed out to defend their home from any outside invaders. After their village was attacked in the late 90s by outside humans, they no longer trusted any other human except themselves.
After Riccio bombed the village to allow the mother longlegs spiders to attack, the warriors became more territorial. Their behavior being much like the natives of the North Sentinel Island, how they would throw spears at anything that got close to their village, be it a peaceful animal or not, they only accepted other Iwis into their home if they were to ever leave for some reason or another, either to go pick some fruit and vegetables or to hunt for meat, acts that required them to leave the safety of the village walls.
She also watched as the teens wrestled with each other, play fighting. She watched as the young children happily chased each other around, never had the Iwi people been so happy with their isolated life that was closely monitored by Kong who would sometimes show up to the village to check up on them.
The young deaf girl turned her attention back to the task that was at hand, and started to pick at the creeper with her tiny blade that her mother had given her in order to pick a smaller vine off of the large one. One strand was cut, followed by another, and then something distracted her again.
The ground rumbled, the deaf girl could feel the ground shaking beneath her body. Although she couldn't hear it, she could still certainly feel, see, and smell, and taste. She looked up and around her to see what was going on, and she noticed that it was Kong off in the distance. He didn't look too happy either...
Kong held his battle axe tightly in one arm, his beard had seemingly grown out some more, now it was down to the top of his chest!
The gargantuan ape had a growling expression displayed on his face, baring his teeth, fang like canines jetted out from his mouth as he snarled at a threat that he saw coming thanks to his telepathic power of having visions. It was something he had never seen before, but he didn't like the vibe he felt from it. He associated this flying thing with evil, and Kong didn't like having any sort of threat coming to his island with malicious intent...
Kong grumbled some, and then let out a furious roar. The Apex zeppelin was still passing through the perpetual storm, but Kong would be ready to strike it down! His eyes widened, and so did his mouth as he roared. His howl echoing across the entire island, when Godzilla wasn't around, Kong was the king, but only on the island. If the great ape ever left, he would get taught a lesson by Godzilla, and get a severe ass kicking!
The deaf girl looked worried for her friend, she didn't know what was going on with Kong, and why he was so angry. Her mother always taught her not to worry about things because if trouble ever came to the village, Kong would be there to protect them, he was their god.
This deaf girl also had a strong relationship with Kong, they communicated with each other more than any other villager. They could also connect with each other through telepathy similar to how Vergil Snow can communicate with Gamera.
She hurried as she picked away at the creeper at a rapid pace, wanting to get ready if a fight was to come to their village!
(Meanwhile...)
"Storm breached, personnel may return to their duties." The female voice spoke over the intercom, Floyd and Alan Jonah unfastened their buckles, but Alan Jonah remained seated as Floyd stood up to stretch out his legs and arms.
"When your seated for a while it hurts the joints." Floyd explained as some popping noises were heard coming from his body as he groaned with pleasure.
Alan Jonah started to look unsure of Floyd as he noticed his jaws rippling and bulging as he groaned, the way his body was moving, it looked like something was moving beneath the skin...
"Floyd, have you been injecting any sort of drug into your system to be making you act like that?" The Englishman asked, Floyd nervously laughed as he had a secret kept to him that Alan Jonah didn't know about yet...
"Uh, no I haven't sir. Believe me, if I was to inject any sort of crack in my veins, I would be acting a whole lot different. I'm just stretching..." Floyd responded with a grin.
"Whatever you say..." Alan Jonah replied as he felt something vibrating within his lap, he unzipped a small briefcase to pull out a tablet. The Englishman placed it on the table, and pressed a blue button on the side to activate who was calling him.
A hologram appeared once he pressed the button, a hologram of Maia Simmons, the daughter of Walter Simmons, and another person whose name wasn't known to Floyd and Alan Jonah.
"Good news, Mr. Jonah, we've retrieved some DNA from a Monarch lab." Maia explained, lifting up a vile and shaking it to show off the liquid contents within it sloshing around.
"What titan did this DNA come from?" Alan asked with a grin, hoping it was the answer he was looking for.
"Kong's DNA, I know it isn't Godzilla's, but it is significant enough for our weapo-" Maia was cut off by Floyd.
"Kong DNA, significant enough for a weapon!?" The leader of the Apex troopers shouted with a laugh.
"Ignore him." Alan Jonah scoffed before staring back down at the hologram of Maia, deep down he was disappointed that Godzilla's DNA couldn't be found as he had plans to create a third MechaGodzilla seeing how much damage the one designed by Monarch done to him, it practically sent Godzilla into retirement for some time.
"We're still on the lookout for any sign of Godzilla DNA or rumors of it, but for now this will have to do." Maia responded, Alan Jonah slowly nodded his head as the hologram faded away.
"Seriously!? Kong isn't good enough to be modeled around for some type of bio-weapon!" Floyd protested as Alan Jonah began to zip the miniature suitcase back up around the tablet.
Suddenly, the lights in the lounge area went red as an alarm began to blare.
"Alert titan detected, alert titan detected, all troops head to the battle stations immediately." The female voice spoke in the intercom, Alan Jonah and Floyd immediately stood up and began to speed walk down the hall towards the elevator in which would take them up to the control room where the guns and rockets among the many weapons of the zeppelin were commanded.
As they walked down the hall, several troops rushed past them as they began to talk amongst themselves as to why Kong is not a powerful enough monster to be molded into a bio-weapon or something among the likes of a mech.
"If you seriously think we can use Kong's DNA to make it into some type of bio-weapon, you're the one taking the drugs." Floyd growled as he marched down the hall next to Jonah.
"Did you listen to a damn word Maia said? She said that they were on the lookout for Godzilla DNA, but Kong's will have to do for the time being. Give her time!" Alan Jonah retorted.
"Kong is a low level titan, and should be viewed as such! He's nothing more than some oversized monkey!" Floyd screamed, rubbing his hands through his hair as he rolled his eyes.
"Keep thinking that way..." Alan Jonah groaned in annoyance.
"I have reason to do so, Godzilla is the one that can take nuclear bombs, and shoot atomic beams out of his mouth. Along with a plethora of other abilities that can toast his monkey ass! Face it, this move is by far the most dumbest decision we have made by making a bio-weapon with the DNA from Kong. The weakest monster on planet Earth!" Floyd screamed at the top of his lungs, causing Alan Jonah to quickly turn around and smack his best soldier across the face at full force, knocking him to the ground!
"You put up good points, Floyd. However, our enemies view Kong as the 2nd best thing compared to Godzilla if he was to ever disappear. It is because of that reason, we have to view Kong as such! Quit making this a dick measuring contest between the two, we're in trouble for some reason by something outside of the-" Alan Jonah's sentence was stopped when a loud roar shook the walls of the zeppelin!
"What do we do?" Floyd asked as he just sat on the floor looking up at his superior.
"Code red, titan alert, code red." The female voice announced over the intercom, causing Alan Jonah to sprint down the hall.
"Sink or swim, that's what we do!" The Englishman called out as he ran towards the control room, Floyd kipped up and darted down the hall after his superior.
It was only a matter of time before Floyd caught up to Alan Jonah, his speed was un-naturally fast to be a human as he caught up to the Englishman within seconds...
"Titanus Kong has been spotted, code red." The voice over the intercom announced.
"Well shoot the damn thing, will you!?" Alan Jonah screamed back, knowing damn well in the back of his mind that a computer voice similar to Siri couldn't hear him, or it wasn't designed to hear them anyway...
"Code red, code red." The voice continued to repeat over the intercom as the halls vibrated as the guns started to fire at the gigantic ape that was attacking the airship, it was undoubtedly Kong, he was the most active titan on Monster Island anyway.
"Dammit, we'll never make it!" Floyd screamed, as he stopped running causing Alan Jonah to turn around.
"Get your ass moving, Sanders!" Jonah barked, but a few soldiers holding rifles came to his aid, and now Alan Jonah had no other option than to join up with him.
"Code red, code red, code red, code-" The voice suddenly stopped as all of the lights flickered off and on rapidly within the halls.
"Code black..." The female voice had gotten deeper, as if the system was shutting down, but then the entire hall was slammed by a brutal explosion that knocked everyone off of their feet!
Everyone felt like they were falling as the airship seemed to tilt to one side before going diagonally downwards, sending everyone that was scrambling around in the hall sliding down it!
"What the hell is happening!?" Floyd exclaimed as he tried to grab hold of something to stop him from sliding all the way down the hall!
"We're going down, that's what's happening!" Alan Jonah answered as he tried to maneuver himself towards another room to possibly stop himself from falling, but it was no use...
"There's an escape pod at the end of this hallway, we can all fit in it!" Floyd shouted as he knew where some of the escape pods were located on the airship.
"You sure!?" Alan Jonah asked loudly right before most of the troops in the hallway slammed into the other end with a loud thud, some of them were crushed under each other, while some others were in critical condition, others made it out just fine, two of those people being Jonah and Floyd.
Floyd pressed in a combination of numbers, and two large airlocked doors slowly opened up, sucking them all into it! It was a tight squeeze as it just barely fit all of the troopers in.
"Get us the hell out of here!" Alan Jonah screamed as he tried to force one of the troopers off of him.
"On it, boss!" Floyd called out as he pulled down a lever to cycle the airlocked doors back to their normal locked state before pressing a combination of buttons on a keypad below the lever. A white light flashed on within the escape pod, and a whizzing sound blared in the tightly packed room before it shook violently, it was the escape pod being launched from the falling airship in which was going up in flames!
"We're going down hard, hold on to your butts!" Floyd warned...
Within a matter of seconds, the escape pod came crashing into the ground of Monster Island. The impact rocked the entire crew within violently, some of the troops smashed into each other so hard that their bones broke, others were knocked out, and even some were killed. Alan Jonah received a broken arm, which caused him to scream in agony!
"You hurt!?" Floyd screamed, Alan Jonah was infuriated at such a dumb question.
"Yeah, I'm fine! I'm walking on damn sunshine...OF COURSE I'M HURT!" Alan Jonah screamed at the top of his lungs as the doors of the escape pod opened up, allowing the soldiers within to go tumbling out and on to the ground.
Floyd dragged Jonah out of the pod, looking up at the large cloud of smoke that was rising from the smoldering remains of the Apex airship. It was revealed that Kong had launched the axe into the zeppelin like a Viking, the dorsal plate blade of the axe damn near split the airship in half.
Jonah looked to the downed craft as well, as some of the other troops began to rise from the ground, all of them groaning in pain as they tried to clear the cobwebs and recover. They had no idea if other escape pods made it, but they had a dreadful feeling that they didn't make it. If Alan Jonah's escape pod was the only one that made it, these troops would have to find shelter immediately.
"We can't stay here, this is not a place to die. Didn't you mention that there was an outpost somewhere here?" Floyd asked to a heavy breathing Alan Jonah who was still in extreme pain.
"Yeah, Outpost sixty two. We should find our way to tha-" Alan Jonah's sentence was cut off by a massive guttural roar that echoed across the island, drawing all of their attention back to the smoke as they saw a large human hand reach down to grab the bone handle of the axe...
Kong emerged into view, staring directly at the downed soldiers. The ape didn't look happy, his eyes were narrowed as if he was judging these evil soldiers from where he stood.
"I hate you!" Floyd screamed, falling to his knees and slamming his fists on the ground.
"Damn you to hell!" He continued, Kong felt like that these humans weren't worth his time. He downed their only means of getting back to any sort of home, he knew very well that they would be slowly picked off by the megafauna on the island or the other hungry carnivores or herbivores defending themselves from these humans that they now considered their predators, he seemed to scoff before turning away, the ape headed back towards his HQ within the Hollow Earth, which he had been exploring some.
"Looks like y-you've been proven wrong..." Alan Jonah growled, struggling to speak through his pain.
"About what?" Floyd asked as he turned back to his superior with a raised eyebrow.
"Kong is more than just a giant monkey..." Jonah replied.
