(Chapter 6: Creation, plan to infiltrate Apex)

(Several hours later)

(Location: Seattle, Washington)

The three helicopters started to lower down upon CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks. This was the supposed location of the Apex base, Alan Jonah, and Floyd Sanders hadn't been inside of this base as of yet.

"So this is taking hiding in plain sight to a whole new level, it's literally a football field?" Alan Jonah asked with a raised eyebrow and a scowl, starting to think that they may be lured into a trap set by Walter Simmons.

"Nope, watch this." Alison said.

The ground on the field shook violently, but the stadium itself remained relatively unharmed. The ground slowly began to slide apart at the fifty yard line, as if the field itself was a massive door being covered up by turf and markers to disguise itself as a football field.

"Oh." Alan Jonah snickered as the helicopters began to lower down into the tunnel that they now had access to, it worked a lot like Outpost 54 which was disguised as an everyday oil rig on top, but it was the true base that hid beneath the surface.

"How long has this stadium been a gateway to an underground base?" Floyd asked curiously.

"The Washington government has been working with Apex for the longest time ever since it's founding year, as well as every other state government in this country. They were designed to be hidden in plain sight just like this one so no one would even guess where it would be, so far it has worked astoundingly well." Alison explained.

Once all three helicopters had entered the tunnel, the ground above them began to close back up. A sliding door mechanism allowing it to do as such, the aircraft would proceed to land into a docking bay where several other aircraft were located, each of them having the Apex symbol displayed on the sides.

Standing within the docking bay at the designated heli-pad that Alison would be landing on was none other than Walter Simmons, and his daughter, Maia.

"Miss Ford, I've been eagerly anticipating your arrival. I cannot wait to show off my newest creation to you all!" The scientist exclaimed proudly as the leaders of the Earth's Rightful Rulers emerged from the helicopter of Alison.

"I've been waiting to see what it is as well, what could this 'Plan A' be?" Alison asked with a grin as she stretched herself out after a long flight from Monster Island all the way to Seattle.

"Follow me, I've been working on this extensively for quite some time. I think all of you will be impressed at the results." Walter boasted, motioning for his allies to come with him towards the laboratory wing of the base where several vials of titan DNA were stored, some of them being copied.

A huge majority of all Apex bases was nothing but laboratory after laboratory, as they walked down the hall in which would break off into separate hallways, large containment tubes were seen holding humanoid creatures such as Sagoths from the Hollow Earth, and other various humanoids that had to have been genetically engineered to even exist, or some coming from the Hollow Earth.

Ren Serizawa was close with Walter Simmons, and since Ren was the head of the Sagoth Empire within the deep hollows, he had several creatures sent up to the Apex bases around the globe. Alan Jonah and his crew were astonished at how advanced this company was, Apex was founded by Mercutio under the Earth's Rightful Rulers umbrella, but now it had became a company in which was starting to far surpass even it's parent organization.

In doorways on each sides of the hallway was nothing but large lab rooms where scientists experimented with vials, and performed other sorts of procedures on drugged creatures that were removed from the Hollow Earth, but the crew continued to move further down the hall to a large open room which had a piece of scaffolding that stretched one thousand feet from side to side.

"Behold, the titan creation chamber." Walter Simmons spoke, the room was dark, with dim red lights being switched on at the top of the room.

"It's almost pitch black in here, and why do I hear water sloshing around?" Floyd asked, questioning on how this large empty room could even create a titan.

"The fluid is supposed to replicate a womb, there are built in dispensers at the bottom of this spherical chamber that spray large amounts of titan DNA into the fluids, and we experiment with growth hormones, and various others to help speed up the "birth" process. In no time at all, can we artificially create our own superweapons, or bring back extinct species from long ago of titans that have died out." Walter explained.

"So this entire chamber is supposed to be an artificial womb?" Alan Jonah asked as he looked around the dark environment, the only thing he could hear was the sloshing fluids around twenty feet below the scaffolding.

"Precisely, Mr. Jonah. However, this isn't all that we've been building." Walter replied as he guided the crew to an elevator at the end of the scaffolding, the platform started to lower, going all the way down to a point known as 'Sublevel 67.'

The gang would walk into a massive open chamber, looking strikingly similar to the hangar in which housed the GDF MechaGodzilla. To their North, South, East, and West were massive hallways dug into the rocks of the underground, creating passageways for whatever they planned on creating in the artificial womb to navigate through. In the center of the room was a large pillar that extended from the floor all the way up to the artificial womb.

"What is this place?" Alison asked.

"The holding chamber for the titan, when it is birthed, it will be unconscious. It sits on a platform that can be lowered into this chamber, where further experimentation can be done on it."

The crew looked around to see large stacks of metal plating, and metallic chunks sitting about the chamber. Maia Simmons approached a panel that was situated on the wall, flicking some switches up, and others down before lowering a lever. There was unknown writing on the panel, it either had to have been a dead language from centuries ago, or a language that had not yet been discovered.

Walter guided them into the chamber, heading to one side of the large rectangular shaped pillar that was in the center of the room. A mechanical whirring and humming was emitting from a large cylinder shaped device contained within the pillar. It looked like some type of battery, it was slightly glowing with purple energy.

"What is this?" Floyd asked, curious as to what was within this battery looking device, and what the device even was.

"The X-Accumulator. We've found a new type of energy source within the Hollow Earth, as told to me by Ren Serizawa. We're calling it 'Element X,' and this device is able to harness such power, and the device will be used to power what we are planning on creating."

(Location: Outpost 04 'Inner Sanctum')

Kenny sat in the computer labs, having struggled to find out the same sources that told him of the Apex. He went through site after site trying to find it, to no avail. He had grown tired of sitting in the same chair for hours on end, his eyes becoming bloodshot due to how tired he was when everyone else was asleep at this hour. He shook his head in disbelief, not wanting to accept that he would either have to travel all the way to Pensacola to the East, or to Alaska up North. He wanted to take the simple, and easy route which was in the same state, but Captain Gordon was too stubborn to accept his offer.

"I shouldn't have to do this!" Kenny boomed, slamming his fist on the table as he gritted his teeth.

"I would be keen on agreeing." A voice said from behind him, startling him as he turned around to see Laura coming into the room in her bed clothing. A blue robe, and blue slippers on her feet.

"Sorry for the sudden intrusion, I think you should just give up searching for this. I would figure that Apex has a strict security system." She added on as she took a seat next to her boyfriend.

"Captain Gordon is a stubborn hard ass, I want to prove him wrong at least once. I know I was told that there are multiple Apex underground bases around the globe, one of them being very close to us, but no, Gordon doesn't want to hear what I have to say. He's an arrogant son of a bitch!" Kenny growled loudly, screaming the last of his sentence.

"Easy babe, relax. I understand your frustration, but I think we have to roll with what we have for now." Laura said softly, gently patting Kenny on the shoulder with a gentle smile on her face.

"Yes, but those bastards at Apex have Kong's DNA, and Lord knows what they'll do with it. It's why we need to get there as fast as we possibly can." Kenny grumbled as he went back to his searching.

"It's a race against time, but with Captain Gordon as our leader, I'm certain we can overcome these challenges."

"Captain Gordon wanted to overpower and finally get ahead in the war against our rivals of Apex and the ERR, but with the course he is set to take now, I don't think we'll be winning the battle this time." Kenny complained.

"We won the battle against them a few years ago when they hijacked the GDF's MechaGodzilla." Laura said, desperately trying to cheer her lover up.

"Yes, but we had Godzilla with us. He hasn't been seen in years since that battle, he's probably recovering at the bottom of the ocean somewhere, and now the only titan that can help the world at the moment is Kong, Mothra, and Rodan. Two out of three of those are weaker than Godzilla, and right now all eyes are on Kong for some stupid reason. He is the weakest titan out of all of those up here on the surface world, if Kong falls, the tide could start to take a turn for the worst." Kenny sighed, his mind jumping to the worst of things.

"I've tried searching all throughout the deep web for nothing, I didn't want to go back on that website I had joined. It is where I first received word of the many Apex bases that were popping up all over the world, I have received so many messages since then that that message is probably lost. Looks like I have no choice in scouring through them all to find it."

"I wish you the best of luck, but please try to keep a level head. You don't want to cause any disruptions or false alarms." Laura wished, but also pleaded for her boyfriend to not cause any trouble in his annoyance.

Time went by after Laura left, and it was a few more painful hours of scrolling through his messages on this website on the deep web. His eyes growing ever more heavy, his will to keep going growing ever short. The time would strike 4:30 AM, and as he was just about to crack, and give up. He finally found it after five solid hours of nonstop searching through his messages.

A smirk grew on his lips as he clicked the document that the anonymous source had sent him before getting up to his feet all too quickly, he had yearned to get in bed, but he had stood up too fast, and he would black out seconds later.

In the morning, Kenny's body was found spread eagle in front of the chair. Laura would end up taking him to the barracks where he would be allowed to receive much needed rest.

Captain Gordon sat down beside of the Skull Squadron as they were usually the first ones to wake up at the base, and they all proceeded to look over the document that had been given to Kenny around the start of Apex.

There was debate between them on who this 'anonymous' source was, as his name was listed as John Smith, which was an alternative to John Doe or Jane Doe. Apex was founded in the year of 2026, and this document was made in the exact same year. So these must have been the initial plans made by the government and Apex as they cooperated with one another.

There were several of them all throughout the globe, and the majority of them were in the United States. There was a facility under Washington D.C. which no one looked to due to it being in ruins following Ghidorah's attack in 2019. There was an Apex base in Pensacola, Florida, which was common knowledge. There was an Apex base in Alaska, also common knowledge.

There was also an Apex base situated on Hawaii, and another in Seattle, Washington. As well as one that Kenny had rumored, being right underneath the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum which wasn't too far away from the base either.

"Well, looks like Kenny has proven me wrong. Allow him to rest for five hours, once these hours has elapsed, go and get him up. We shall discuss terms of the mission at that point in time.

(Five hours later)

(Time- 9:30 A.M.)

Another staff meeting had been called, it was between Kenny Anderson, Madison Russell, Sam Brody, and Captain Douglas Gordon.

Kenny was half awake as he didn't get enough time to rest, but Captain Gordon knew how quick they needed to move, and he had forced the man awake from his slumber.

"I have brought you three here to discuss matters involving this infiltration mission. Kenny, you've proven me wrong. There is a facility at the location you gave me yesterday. Apologies for being so stubborn."

"Damn straight." Kenny said under his breath, Captain Gordon went silent before narrowing his eyes towards him.

"I don't like to be taunted, and I won't be taunted..." He growled, shutting Kenny up instantly.

"Now, this will be a stealth mission. Do your best to stay out of sight from those bastards, and if you get caught, do the best you can. We'll be planning ahead while you all are gone-" Captain Gordon began, Madison looked nervous as she had no idea what she was in for, Sam looked ready, Kenny still looked tired, but he was willing to move ahead with what his superior wanted of the three.

"Colonel Anderson, do you have any idea of what the base is supposed to be like?" Gordon asked the trooper.

"No, not really. I just know that the document listed plans to make the base. I have no idea how they look." Kenny replied, Captain Gordon nervously laughed.

"Best of luck, during the peace period we've had, some spies managed to hijack some of Apex's weaponry, and their aircraft. We have an Apex osprey in the docking bay.

"Boss, where is the entrance of the base going to be?" Kenny asked.

"Didn't you just say to me that it was located at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum? Now it seems like you're the one wanting to stall some time." Gordon growled.

"It has been rebuilt, and it is game day. The 49ers are playing the Chargers, we can't afford to just drop in with an Apex osprey and be seen by the public eye. Lord knows what would happen if they found out what exists beneath their feet." Kenny replied with a roll of his eyes and a sigh.

"How is this for a change? We land you at the airport, then you can get picked up driven to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where you would sneak into the base without being caught." Gordon asked, giving Kenny a suggestion.

"Sounds great, but wouldn't the security be strict about going into the back rooms of the place like the locker room?"

"Hell if I know, I don't work for Apex. I'm pretty sure that they would let an Apex official in or anybody with an insignia."

"This isn't going to be easy."

"I'm aware, best of luck Kenny. You're gonna need it."

(Location: Seattle, Washington)

"When do you plan on using this weapon?" Alison asked as she followed Walter Simmons down the hall way, heading towards his office.

"I plan on using it as soon as possible, now that we have the Kong DNA, we can begin the process. It won't take long for the artificial womb to create the clone." Walter replied, looking at Alison with a grin.

"Well, we're going to need lots of Element X to power up the accumulator." Alison said, sounding concerned.

"I'm aware, which is why I'm going to contact a certain someone in a second."

The two approached the end of the hall where a phone was mounted on the wall, Walter removed it from the charging base and would call Ren Serizawa.

"Who are you calling?" Alison asked.

"Ren." Simmons replied.

The phone buzzed for a moment or two until Ren would answer.

"Hello?" The king of the Sagoths said.

"Mr. Serizawa, we've been developing a new weapon. We're going to clone Kong and give it some armor, the armor will be powered by the X-Accumulator. I'm going to need much more of the Element X so we can power it though, so may I ask you a favor?" Walter said, asking Ren if he could carry out a certain task.

"Yes? What is it?"

"Can you take the Sagoth horde, and start to mine the Element X? It is very important that you get this done qui-"

"Ah, that's the problem. Dr. Simmons, it is campaign season within Pellucidar. I'm going to be taking the army across the lands to expand my empire, we won't be doing any digging anytime soon." Ren replied, interrupting Walter as he spoke.

"Mr. Serizawa, we have a weapon up here that requires that energy, and we need the weapon to kill Kong!" Walter protested only to hear Ren laughing on the other line.

"Well, best of luck finding other ways to get it. I'm pressed for time at the moment, farewell." Ren replied before hanging up on Walter, the scientist grumbled to himself as he now had no way to gain the power source needed for the X-Accumulator.

"Well, there goes our shot at taking out Kong. There is no other way we can power the X-Accumulator, we need Element X. If Ren is going on a so called 'campaign,' then I don't know how we'll retrieve it." Alison complained, but Walter had another idea.

"Don't stress, Ms. Ford...Kong will be doing the digging for us."
