(Chapter 7: Infiltrating Apex, Kong attacked!)
(Location: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum)
It had been around an hour since the plan was made to infiltrate Apex and now three chosen people arrived at the location of where an underground Apex facility was said to be.
Kenny Anderson, Madison Russell, and Sam Brody stood at the entrance of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. It was game day, the Chargers against the Rams, perfect for a secret infiltration.
The three of them were in Apex disguises, basic uniforms that the employees wore. Mostly Navy blues, and blacks. Of course, they had to change their real names to avoid being detected.
Kenny's fake name was Hogan, Sam's fake name was Robert, and Madison's fake name was Rebecca. Madison in particular had to apply loads of makeup to her face to look different because her face was everywhere in 2019 when the Mass Awakening event occurred.
They rode in an osprey disguised as an Apex aircraft, landing in a helipad not too far away from the coliseum. Two guards armed with rifles emerged from the Coliseum, approaching the three spies while they stood out front.
"Who are you?" One of the guards asked, her eyes narrowing towards Kenny as she looked him over.
"Hogan, Hogan Thompson." Kenny lied, pulling out his ID to prove it. Although it had Kenny's face on the ID, it had Hogan Thompson with the Apex symbol next to it just like the Apex ID cards usually do, it was nothing out of the ordinary.
"We don't recognize you, how long have you been working here?" The male guard next to the female one asked him, becoming suspicious.
"Mr. Simmons just hired me a few weeks ago, but we have had a screwed-up schedule. I've had a lot of personal matters to attend to." Kenny responded.
The guards turned their attention to Madison Russell next.
"Rebecca, Rebecca Stanley." Madison spoke up before the guards could even question her.
"We haven't seen you around either, what's going on with you?" The female guard asked, Kenny noticed the guard gripping her rifle tighter than before.
"I had a death in the family, I've worked here for about two days before I had to take a bereavement leave." Madison replied, using her father's death due to the MechaGodzilla attack on Outpost 54 as a way to work around things, deep down, she felt horrible, but she had no other ideas.
"Apologies, we're sorry for your loss Ms. Stanley." The female guard replied, finally the two guards turned towards Sam Brody.
"We could ask the same for you, are all of you new?" The male guard spoke, seriously questioning the validity of their ID tags, having a feeling that something was off about things when it came to these three employees.
"We are all fairly new, I'm a scientist in training here. Today's my first day, contacted Mr. Simmons a couple of days ago with an interview, and now I'm working here." Sam replied, keeping eye contact with the male guard.
"Alright then, welcome aboard." The male guard said with his voice sounding a bit hesitant as if he was still questioning to give these three access to the facility underneath the coliseum.
"Follow our lead, we'll guide you into the facility without anyone noticing." The female guard spoke up as she and her male partner turned around, the three followed the guards into the coliseum, and towards the restroom area. Kenny took quick glimpses of the game but he couldn't tell who was winning, half of the crowd seemed to be in support of the Chargers, and the other in support of the Rams.
A few fans in attendance noticed the guards, and the three "employees" walking down the hall towards the restrooms and gave them some incredulous looks. Some were curious, others were suspicious.
"Are you sure these fans aren't gonna follow us?" Kenny asked, concerned for this stealth mission for if the fans were to follow them wherever they were heading to, it could all go haywire.
"Pay 'em no attention, if they start to follow us, we'll deal with them." The female guard replied sternly, Madison and Sam both looked at each other with concern upon hearing that sentence.
The three continued to follow the guards to the men's restroom, where the male guard entered, the female guard stayed out of the restroom.
"Is it a number 2?" Kenny asked the female guard, she only replied with a cold glance towards him, he took a step back with his hands in the air in a playful surrender motion.
"Geez, chill out with that look. You don't have to be this serious about taking a leak or a dump..." Kenny chuckled nervously, the female guard rolled her eyes.
"Anybody in here?!" The male guard was heard calling out within the restroom, there was a voice that responded to him, but nobody could tell what he was saying.
"Well you need to get out, we're about to have maintenance work in here." The guard was heard replying to the fellow within the stall in the restroom.
There was a brief moment of silence before the guard spoke up again, this time in a much more serious tone of voice.
"Come on, shit or get off the pot."
A few seconds later, the man who was using the restroom came out. The young man was walking funny as if he had been forced to get off the toilet, and he was struggling to hold it in.
"Fine, I guess I'll go to the other side of the coliseum. You better hope I don't crap on the floor." The man grumbled as he headed down the massive corridor as the male guard placed an "out of order" sign at the front of it.
"Eh, I couldn't give two shits less." The male guard replied with a chuckle before motioning for the female guard, and the three others to come in.
They followed the male guard towards a closet within the restroom, must have been the janitor's closet. When they all entered the "closet," this was proven false. To their front was a bunch of items that would otherwise disguise this room as a janitor's closet, but to the left and right was a long hallway. These hallways would lead to elevators that would lead down into the facility directly beneath the coliseum.
Outside of the "janitor's closet" was normal lighting, and building material that seemed fit for the era they were in which was the 2030s.
However, the lighting within the hallway, as well as the building material...it all seemed futuristic compared to the way things looked at the moment. The floors seemed to be made out of some sort of translucent plexiglass, the lights were mostly neon purples, almost looking like a blacklight.
This was certainly the beginning of the Apex base, and Kenny was starting to think that now was the time that they would take out the guards. He nudged Sam Brody's arm, and both gave each other glances as they continued to head down the hallway.
"Now." He mouthed to Sam before suddenly lunging forward, wrapping his arms around the neck of the female guard tightly, squeezing at full force as he then forcefully pulled her back into him, Sam did the same thing for the male guard.
The guards struggled, but couldn't do much against their opponents as they were locked in deep within the rear-naked choke, to which the Monarch personnel quickly went to their backs to get the full force locked in. Within seconds, the guards would succumb to the hold, and pass out.
After dispatching the guards, Kenny looked up to notice a security camera. His eyes went wide as he knew that they had been caught, their cover being completely blown.
"Security cameras...shit..." Kenny growled between his teeth.
"Did you seriously think that they wouldn't have any?" Sam groaned.
"Dammit, this was supposed to be a stealth mission!" Madison cried out as she looked at the camera too, noticing that it was pointing right at them.
"We need to get moving to one of these elevators," Kenny said as he leaned down to grab one of the rifles of the unconscious guards while Sam grabbed the other one, Madison following behind them as fast as she could as they sprinted down the hall.
They eventually came to an elevator with the same neon pink lights shining within the doors after Madison had pressed the button to go down into the actual facility. The three entered, Kenny and Sam holding on to the rifles as tight as they could.
Outside of the elevator, an alarm began to blare, warning of intruders in the base. Now everyone in the Apex outpost knew that Monarch was there...
"Shit, it's best that we brace ourselves." Kenny said to himself as he aimed his rifle to the front of the elevator, ready to blow anything away once they opened, Sam did the same as his superior.
They noticed a panel on the elevator where all of the buttons were located, it was flashing, displaying a location that was called 'Sub-Level 33.'
"Sub-level 33?" Sam asked himself as he took a glance at the buttons of the elevator, he turned his head to face Madison who shrugged her shoulders, Sam then turned his head towards Kenny to his left.
"Don't look at me, I have no clue what we're getting ourselves into. I don't know what sub-level 33 is." Kenny said, Madison sighed as she held her head within her hands.
"We're all gonna die, aren't we?"
With a droning buzz, the elevator began to lower down to this level. They kept going for minutes on minutes until finally, they came to a halt, the doors slowly slid open. Kenny and Sam both had their fingers on the trigger, but no opposition was there.
The three emerged from the elevator, and the doors closed behind them. The space they had entered was enormous, it looked like some kind of docking bay. Everyone had left this massive chamber as the alarms continued to sound, alerting the armed personnel of the intruders that were caught on the cameras, the cameras themselves now showing that the three invaders were now in the Sub-Level 33 wing of the facility.
A crane claw lowered down from the ceiling, grabbing hold of a large lozenge-shaped transportation pod. The pod itself having a blue LED lighting fixture to it, the crane began to move it towards a large door that slowly opened which was set above the level of the floor, revealing a large white tunnel.
"Where are we?" Madison asked as she looked all around, in awe but slight intimidation of this place.
"We're in a deep underground Apex facility, God knows what they have going on down here. I do know that there are several of these places all around every country in the world." Kenny replied, having slightly more information than Madison or Sam who was oblivious to the existence of these deep underground bases, they had to be far below sea level at the depth they were beneath the ground.
"Well, we were sent here to infiltrate the company by Captain Gordon. I would start taking notes if I were you, Maddy." Sam replied, looking over to Madison to suggest her that she began to record everything they were witnessing.
They began to wander through this docking bay of sorts, everything within this base seemed so futuristic, and multiple generations ahead of the technology above at the surface world. They almost didn't want to believe it, it all seemed alien in a way.
They approached one of the large transportation cars, and Madison peered over to the one that was being placed inside of the tunnel. A loud humming noise was heard as it suddenly shot down the tunnel going at unfathomable speed! It was like a train with no friction on the tracks, a train that could hover and go at incredible speed. Projects like this were in progress on the surface world such as the hyperloop, but this made the hyperloop look like child's play.
Through double doors came armed guards, flashlights were attached to the guns that they wielded. These guns didn't look like normal guns at all, they too looked many generations ahead, sure Monarch had shock rifles, but these things looked as though they could do much worse than just shock something.
"You!" One of the guards shouted as they all turned towards the three intruders, Kenny began to fire away at the guards, downing several with his rifle. Sam noticed the window of the transportation car sliding open.
"Madison, we need to move!" Sam exclaimed as he jumped inside, aiming the heavy assault rifle out of the window to fire at any threats that may be coming for them.
Kenny had to jump out of the way of a large blue ball of unknown energy in which was fired from one of those guns that the guards were wielding, he backpedaled towards the car, out of the sight of the guards, but he could hear their footsteps pounding on the polished flooring.
The energy bullet or whatever was fired from the barrel of that high-tech gun was eating through the wall like some kind of acid, blue in color. Distracted by this, there was a loud mechanical zooming noise as a large ball of that same energy slammed into the wall that destroyed it entirely! This caused Kenny to drop his rifle, and dart towards the transportation pod as fast as he could!
"Jesus Christ!" He screamed, panicking as he knew that the assault rifles that he and Sam held would do nothing against those guns in which the guards were using against them. He looked over his shoulders as he ran to see blue lightning crackling from the blue acids eating away the wall.
"In here, hurry!" Sam cried out, Kenny rushed for the opened window and leapt inside. His body crashing and tumbling on the floor.
Madison, Sam, and Kenny were now all in the pod; prompting Sam to forcefully shut the window, and lock it to prevent the bad guys from entering.
"What the hell was that?!" Kenny cried out.
"I don't know, but it's nothing good!" Sam replied loudly as loud banging was heard coming from the other side of the window, no doubt it was those guards, evident by the loud screaming and demands for it to be opened.
"We're not fucking opening it!" Madison screamed in defiance.
"Somebody get to the control panel, and shut off those cranes!" One of the guards was heard screaming on the outside of the pod.
Then came the sound of loud tapping on all sides of the pod, it didn't sound like the guards on the outside of it were trying to beat the hell out of it no more, but...shooting at it!
"We've got to do something, they're going to break in!" Madison screamed, fear in her voice as she frantically looked around to see if there was any way out, there wasn't...
Kenny and Sam held on to their guns as tight as they could, turning in circles as the sounds of rapid tapping were on all sides of the pod.
"If one of us makes it out of this situation alive, could you please sue Captain Gordon's ass for getting us into this situation!?" Kenny boomed.
"You were the one that told him of these underground Apex bases!" Sam exclaimed furiously.
"The fact that you two are arguing about suing right now is ridiculous!" Madison screamed at the top of her lungs moments before the whole pod shook, but the loud tapping continued.
"Hurry!" One of the guards was heard on the outside screaming like a lunatic, the three within the pod felt it began to move upwards like they were in an elevator. One of the crane claws had grabbed hold of it, and was starting to move it towards one of the large tunnels.
Then the entire pod shook violently, hard enough to get the three inside of it to fall to the floor with a thud. Madison pressed her hands down to the plexi glass esque material of the flooring, noticing that it was extremely hot and having a faint blue glimmer to it.
"That is what they shot at me Madison, they're going to break through the floor!" Kenny screamed as he inched against the wall, pointing the rifle to the ground, Sam began to use the wall as leverage to help himself up to his feet.
The tapping on the underside of the pod would continue for another fifteen seconds before they suddenly stopped, now the noises would be on the backside of the pod. The maglev car was getting placed into the tunnel. The car would tremor horribly once more, followed by another tremor. The backside was starting to slightly glow blue...
"We tried, we fucking tried!" Kenny screamed as he now aimed his rifle towards the backside of the pod, ready for the wall to break open, and to accept his fate.
It was then that the tremors stopped, and the tapping grew more frequent with each passing second until they stopped completely. Madison got up from the floor after falling down again, curiously checking out of the window to see what had just happened. They were in a large white tunnel now, and the voices of the guards were loud, but muffled.
The maglev car had been put into the tunnel, and a large iron door had closed behind it. Saving the three from certain death if they were caught by these guards. The three infiltrators took a moment to breathe a sigh of relief, the worst of their troubles was over for now...
Now that they were all inside the pod, they each began to look at all of what was contained within it. Large pieces of metal were aligned against the wall, some of it had machinery on it like massive joints that belonged to something.
Kenny walked over to a decent-sized box to slice it open with his combat knife that was within his pocket if things were to get out of hand, he wouldn't have a chance to use it against the guards due to the weaponry they possessed.
Contained within the box were several files, and blueprints. One of the blueprints was of a massive aircraft that was known as the Super X that Apex was currently building, it would be like the Argo, except much more powerful than they could even imagine. Another blueprint was of the large zeppelins that were once believed to belong to the Earth's Rightful Rulers and the defunct Red Bamboo, the enormous armored zeppelins that were around the same height and length as the USS Argo, they too were built by Apex.
"Maddy, what is that?" Sam Brody asked Madison as he noticed a large blue equipment case filled with little vials, the two of them approached the case, and the woman pulled out a vile containing thick black liquid, almost like oil.
"Goodness gracious, what is this stuff?" Madison asked herself as she examined the black liquids contained within the vile, she then looked back into the equipment case to notice that the vials were split apart into sections that were labeled. One section contained several more vials with the black liquid, another set of vials contained another liquid.
Upon closer inspection, she noticed that these vials with the black liquid were labeled "Zero DNA." This revelation made her jaw drop, and drop the vile, which broke, and the black contents oozed out onto the floor.
"No way..." She said in horror, fear filling her voice. She had put the puzzle pieces together, Ghidorah's blood was black as oil, and thick like petroleum as well. The three-headed demise was also known as 'Monster Zero' to Monarch's database and codex of all the titans they had found and studied over the years.
"Zero DNA" meant that it was none other than Ghidorah's DNA contained within those vials, she began to have flashbacks of many years ago in 2019 when the Mass Awakening event occurred. How the world came close to ending in a titan apocalypse that was spearheaded by the golden dragon himself, an operation that her mother had been roped into, and so was she.
"Monster Zero's DNA." Sam Brody said in disbelief as he turned away with his hands on his hips, looking up at the lights that were shining over his head. This caused Kenny to approach the three.
"Ghidorah..." Madison continued, remembering the moment where she stared death in the face within Fenway Park. Staring into the massive fiery eye of King Ghidorah before he attempted to blast her into oblivion with his gravity beams.
"What the hell is Apex doing with Monster Zero's DNA?" Kenny asked as he looked over all of the vials.
"I don't know, but we cannot let these things get shipped." Sam Brody warned, having a bad feeling of what the DNA of these titans would be used for.
"Smash them, break all of these vials, I think that's what we should do." Madison suggested, her voice filled with worry and even anger.
"Right on!" Kenny said aloud as he grabbed the sides of the equipment case, and with brute force, slammed the case onto its side with a loud bang!
Many of the vials were broken, with the DNA contained within starting to spill out on the floor, but a few remain intact. The three pulled each one of them out and stomped them out under their boots to cause the glass to shatter.
The liquids formed into a gunky, oozing mess on the floor but they were confident that it wouldn't mess anything up, and it would dry up eventually.
As it turned out, Kenny slamming the equipment case on the floor accidentally revealed a panel on the wall near the window. Sam and Kenny approached the panel with Madison looking at all the DNA liquids on the ground with disgust.
The panel had routing information on display, saying that they were on route to Seattle, Washington.
"The one under Lumen Field." Kenny said with a nervous gulp.
The car began to move again slowly for a moment, but it was picking up speed as the seconds went by. Contained on the panel was also information on how fast the maglev car was traveling.
Then it would suddenly burst forward with speed, knocking the three to the floor inside with a thud! Firing down the tunnel like a rocket, the speed going at insane limits.
"Well, we're probably going to be in Seattle within no time at all..." Sam said with a groan.
(Location: Hollow Earth)
The guardian god of Monster Island had ventured into the Hollow Earth through a passage within the ground beneath his feet on the island. He had often traveled down here several times either to hunt or to chase titans away from the surface world.
Kong felt it was his duty, when Godzilla wasn't around, the mighty ape was in control of the island just like old times when he was far younger than he was now. He had found a new home, Godzilla was the king of the monsters on the surface world, but the great saurian titan wanted nothing to do with the Hollow Earth at all, Kong never understood why.
He would travel far into the Hollow Earth, traveling far and wide across multiple biomes. The ape loved to explore the world around him, and not just be confined to an island that he had seen the entirety of over the centuries that he had been living.
Kong was resting behind a massive waterfall next to a gigantic natural forming archway, he had been exploring for a while now, bounding over rocky plains, and leaping within the valleys between the massive mountains that dwarfed him.
His massive ax was lodged into a huge tree that stood taller than Kong himself, the terrain of the Hollow Earth was somewhat similar to the world on the surface, but here, everything was several times larger. The tallest mountains within the deep hollows could put Mount Everest to shame, the trees varied in sizes down here, but many of them made the great redwood trees of California look puny.
The massive stomach of the mighty ape began to rumble, it was time for food. With a low rumbling yawn, Kong woke up from his momentary slumber, stretching his arms within the gigantic hollowed space behind the super-sized waterfall. His thunderous yawn shook the walls of this cavern before he stood up, using gigantic rocks at his sides as leverage to hoist himself up.
He began to march down the passageway that would lead out to the waterfall, the towering hairy beast groaned with satisfaction as he felt the cool waters run through his matted dark hair, and soak in to reach his skin.
Finally, he emerged on the other side, kneeling down next to a large pool to cup a massive amount of water into his gigantic hands. The water was cool, perfect to wake something up. He brought his hands up to his face and splashed some water into it. Kong felt the soothing water begin to open up his skin, feeling the air fresh on his face, he could feel his large beard getting soaked, but it would dry up eventually. The primate would take his fingers, and gently dig into the corners of his eyes to get the crust out of them by using the water to wash them out.
After washing his face to further energize himself, he would shake his head from side to side to fling all the rest of the water off of his hair like a dog would when it got wet. Now woken up, the beast reared up on his stumpy legs before letting out a grunt. He had noticed a large tree with massive red berry like fruits growing on them, the Iwi sometimes made him massive drinks known as Soma Berry Juice, the primate was curious if these were the same things as the ones he devoured on the surface world.
Using a vine to propel himself, Kong swung down to the bottom of the massive archway. The ground beneath his feet shook once he landed. The berries that he devoured and drank the juices from had a particular scent to them to us humans, the scent would be sweet like a blueberry. The ape sniffed the air, and caught the pleasant smell not too far away from him. The hairy beast began to march through a passageway between two large hills, stretching out his arms once more as he approached a tree that had the approximate size of 850 feet in height!
A pleasant grin seemed to spread across the simian's lips as he sniffed the large red berries up close to the tree now, he reached up, and torn one from the leaves. The berries were the size of cars, and the juices were glorious to the taste.
Kong took a huge bite out of the red berry, and he felt the succulent, sweet juices gush into his mouth as his large canines sank deep into his food. He held his mouth on the berry as he sucked the red juices into his mouth, guzzling them down his throat before taking another chomp out of the berry, devouring the berry completely now as he made sure to take in every ounce of the juices he could before swallowing.
A satisfied groan came out of the ape's mouth as he licked his lips clean of any extra juices that may have slipped out of his mouth. Even though the juices of the berry were sweet and delicious, he was still hungry for more after doing miles upon miles of traveling far beneath the Earth's surface. The ape began to search some more for another source of food.
The ape eventually came to a massive river that curved around a large rock formation, trees both tall and small surrounded him at all sides. He noticed something light brown sticking out of the ground, the top of it was covered by bright green leaves. Kong could tell the soil and plants apart, the soil of the Hollow Earth was a reddish-brown coloring, so it had to have been something else that was beneath the ground. His senses told him that it was a potential food source, so the gargantuan primate kneeled down to rip it from the ground.
It was a massive root, think of a Yuka root but the size of a house in terms of the scale. As he held it by the leaves at the top of the vegetable, the great gorilla noticed some dirt falling off of it towards the ground and some sediment coating it. Not wanting to feast upon a clump of dirt on accident, he got on his knees to wash the vegetable in the massive river before him.
Kong rolled the large root around within the water and shifted it from side to side in his big hands. The water churned and rippled each time he moved it and the ape could see the dirt starting to float down the stream. The gargantuan primate gently brushed his index finger on it from top to bottom, wanting to scrape off any sediment that could potentially remain.
While he was washing the vegetable, however, something made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. The ape lifted his head up, and growled as he looked around. He could sense something nearby, but his eyes couldn't see any threats. Kong knew the creatures of his island all too well, they were flora-fauna like the Sker Buffalo, and the Spore Mantis, even the Mother Longlegs blended in with their environment, he was certain that there were several more species that could do just that within the depths of the hollow.
Kong let out a roar of warning to anything that was around him and after a few moments of silence, the ape received a response in the form of a low growl coming from somewhere at his front. The ember-colored eyes of the massive ape narrowed as he tossed the vegetable aside, he would have to wash it off again, but that could come later.
He stood up again, pounded his chest one good time before letting out another threatening roar only to receive the low growling again. The growling sounded similar to that of a gator, was it a sirenjaw?
Figuring the enemy was one of the gator-like beasts back up on Monster Island, he marched forward with a vicious snarl displayed on his face, growling coldly as he went forwards. The growling suddenly ceased as he got close to the source of the noise, the ape began to examine the trees where he had heard the sound coming from. The massive gorilla noticed a hint of blue-colored scales between the thick bark of the trees, focusing on it to get a better understanding of what it was.
Everything around him went silent, and even the world around him went into a blur as he focused every bit of his sight on the thing in the trees. He growled lowly as he moved even closer, but then from out of nowhere, the threat attacked!
Kong didn't have time to recognize what his enemy was as he was rammed in the stomach and lifted into the air where he would be sent flying back. The towering primate would land on his feet but the falling momentum would force him to stumble backward, and land against a large rock, giving his body an incline.
The enemy lunged forward, using its foot to pin Kong's chest down while it bit at his face. The ape used his beefy forearm to block it, the teeth of the predator sinking into his flesh, causing Kong to growl in pain. The ape got a good look at his enemy now, it appeared to be a saurian beast with blue bumpy scales. There were holes or massive pores near the backside of its head and on the sides which would be considered ears.
Kong felt the immense bite force of his enemy and knew he couldn't last long pinned down like this, so he curled up his right hand into a fist, and sent a huge blow to the side of the saurian's head, causing it to hiss in pain and back away from him.
Kong was quick to clamber back up to his feet, and he snarled hatefully at his enemy which he got to see completely now. The beast was standing upright on it's hind legs, it's underbelly was that of a tan coloring but it was made darker due to laying in the dirt. Its arms were small but still had the capability of grabbing hold of things, they weren't stubby at all. Boney ridges ran down its back, and it had a thick tail that dragged along the ground. As stated before, the scales of this reptilian menace were a dark blue coloring, and they appeared to be bumpy.
This creature was known as Gorosaurus, and there were many like him. Colors of his kind varied from pinks to blues, to lighter blues. This specimen appeared to be young, so it wasn't the alpha of its kind.
Kong pounded the ground violently before hopping up to pound his chest while hooting and roaring boldly towards his enemy in his intimidation display. Gorosaurus wasn't backing down, he slammed his tail into the ground, and let out a mighty reptilian hiss of a roar sounding similar to a big cat in a way if you listened closely. Saliva was flung from the mouth of the saurian beast that stood a couple hundred feet away from Kong now.
Seeing that this predator wasn't going to bog off, Kong rushed forth as fast as he could. His large teeth bared, his fangs jetting out of his mouth as he growled. The ground shook like a great earthquake beneath his feet as he charged at the opposition, but then Gorosaurus did something that the ape wasn't expecting.
The blue saurian titan jumped, his body leaning back as the tail seemed to balance him within the air! Kong's eyes widened as he got close, and Gorosaurus came back down hard with a springloaded kangaroo-styled kick! The large feet of the super-sized dinosaur slamming into the upper chest of the great primate hard. The impact being strong enough to knock Kong back to the ground.
The ape used the falling momentum to roll backward and he would end up rising back to his feet within seconds. Kong growled more than ever before, then he would let out a roar of determination before charging forward again, knowing what to expect now.
Gorosaurus, believing that Kong would run into him again, hopped up and used the springloaded power contained within his strong tail to try and nail his prey with the kangaroo kick again, but Kong jumped to a large rock at his left and would spring off of it, coming down with a massive punch that echoed across the valley that they fought in!
The punch rocked Gorosaurus, causing the dinosaur titan to stumble to the side, but thanks to his larger legs, and his tail, he didn't fall thanks to his lower center of gravity. While his enemy was reeling, Kong uprooted a tree and swiped his hand down the tree to remove any limbs or large leaves as he prepared to use it as a stick weapon. The tree in particular was taller than Kong, and it was also incredibly thick, so the hairy beast had to hold it with two hands to balance out the weight.
Kong marched forward and would smash the large tree across the top of the enemy's head, causing him to growl in pain and stumble forward into a rocky hill. Kong took a step back and prepared to swing it like a baseball bat right into the face of Gorosaurus, but the titan sized dinosaur rushed forth and would clamp his powerful jaws around the tree to snap it in half before barreling forward to ram his head into Kong's chest, butted him a couple hundred yards back.
The ape was relentless though and rushed forward again to go for a right cross, but Gorosaurus would hop back up again to go for the kangaroo kick. Kong was too close to moving back, but he showed defiance as he reached up to grab the small arms of his enemy as he bared his teeth, trying to use his upper body strength to keep the saurian foe in the air. However, the lower body strength of Gorosaurus would triumph over Kong's upper body, and his feet would once again slam into the center of the massive primate's pecs, forcing him to the ground beneath him!
Kong knew that being underneath an opponent wasn't good at all and he quickly rolled over to try and avoid being stomped up, as he got on his knees, he was still beneath his enemy. Gorosaurus would lean down and clamp his jaws deep into Kong's meaty shoulder, causing the large ape to let out a yelp of pain!
The dinosaur titan would thrash his head from side to side, trying to tear a chunk of flesh from Kong, which only increased the pain that the hairy beast was going through. The roar of the primate only got more terrible as pain surged through his shoulder, but he knew he had to fight back or else get devoured. Kong pressed his hands into the ground with a strained growl, Gorosaurus was a heavy enemy to lift, but he could manage it.
Within time, the dinosaur titan was off of his feet, and he hooked his arms around the beefy neck of Kong to try and stay on his back, but the large primate would lean forward with a jerk all while reaching back to grab Gorosaurus by his small arm, hurling him over his head in a motion similar to a judo throw!
Now Gorosaurus was on his back against an angry Kong, the primate cupped his hands together and would smash them into the soft underbelly of his enemy three times while the massive dinosaur under him struggled. The foe attempted to bite at Kong's groin which he had seen coming, causing him to take a step back with his eyes wide with surprise but they would only narrow in disgust as he snarled at his saurian opponent.
Kong could feel the flesh around his right shoulder was torn apart but not heavily wounded, it hurt like hell, and it was bleeding, but he knew he would survive. Gorosaurus hissed in pain as he got back to his feet. Those axehandles to his gut really did a number on him, coughing up some blood from how heavy Kong's attack was!
Kong pounded his chest furiously before bellowing out a mighty roar, with renewed confidence as he noticed chunks of blood falling from the mouth of his enemy. Weakened but enraged, Gorosaurus would rush forward blindly only for Kong to stoop down low and grab one of his muscular legs, the two spun around for a moment before the saurian titan fell to its side after his primate enemy brought him to the ground via a single-legged takedown.
With Kong now on top he would send his heavy hands into the skull of Gorosaurus over and over, the large dinosaur would thrash the tail around and pathetically claw at Kong's chest with its small arms, but it only did meager amounts of damage. Gorosaurus managed to time one of Kong's punches, and it took a bite into his fist that knocked several teeth out of his mouth!
Kong hooted in pain as he felt his fist get caught in the jaws of his opponent, but he would immediately begin to use his other fist to club the head of Gorosaurus over and over again until the grip was loosened enough. With each savage strike the mighty ape landed, Gorosaurus could feel his skull cracking more and more, so with his strong legs, he pumped them into the body of his enemy to send him sliding across the ground, putting distance between them.
The damage that Gorosaurus had sustained was far greater than that of Kong's wounds, it was showing as well. The breathing of the dinosaur sounded labored and shaky, hisses of pain were coming through his mouth and his legs were wobbly, threatening to give way due to the agony it was going through.
Gorosaurus in the midst of his pain still was determined to devour Kong and he roared cruelly at his primate opponent. The ape growled as he stomped towards his enemy, sensing that it was weak, he was ready to finish him off right here and now.
Gorosaurus would attempt a hail mary of an attack and would lean forward while spinning. Trying to spin and hit Kong across the chest with his massive tail, it connected with a loud thud, but Kong had hold of the tail for dear life. The ape coughed a few times, his vision had gone flashy from the hit, feeling like his heart had skipped a beat. He had to stand still for a moment while Gorosaurus tripped over on his stomach.
While Kong stood there for a moment to get his bearings straightened, his grip had become loose, and the tail slipped from his grasp. The ape took a step back to let out a cough before looking back at his enemy.
Gorosaurus appeared to be clawing at the ground with his hind legs and frontal arms, appearing to burrow into the ground. Kong wasn't about to let him escape though, and he grabbed the end of his tail to jerk him out of the crater that he was starting to make.
The saurian titan started to use the rocky hill to try and get up but Kong was instantly on his back with a jump, the falling impact of the ape on his back forced him to fall forwards, his head colliding with jagged rocks stunning him for a moment while the primate hammered away on the top of his head.
Gorosaurus opened up his jaws only to have Kong grab them both, one hand on his top jaw and the other hand on the bottom one. The ape began to pull them apart, going further and further as he now tried to break the jaws of the dinosaur.
Gorosaurus was in extreme pain now as he could feel the joints and ligaments popping at the hinges of his jaw, an incredible aching pain took over his entire head as it felt like an enormous pressure was squeezing all around his head.
Gorosaurus began to foam at the mouth, and his vision began to get blurry. Feeling like his life was in danger now, he thrashed his body with all of his might to the side, toppling to the ground trying to get Kong off of him. However, the primate held on tightly and the two rolled on the ground a couple of times before Gorosaurus was on his side with Kong behind him, his hands still having a tight hold of the jaws.
Blood began to gush out from his mouth now as Gorosaurus kicked and squirmed desperately, but it was of no use as Kong only continued to rip and pry away at the jaws. Eventually breaking it all together with a loud snap, the bottom jaw hanging open loosely as the saurian titan lay dead on the ground.
Kong looked down at his fallen opponent, grunting with approval before roaring to the heights above while pounding his chest triumphantly. His chest heaved up and down from the skirmish he just had with a predator of the Hollow Earth and he winced in pain as he rubbed the wound on his right shoulder.
There came a sudden droning buzz all throughout the area of which Kong stood, he braced himself for another fight now as his eyes shifted all over the place. He hooted out a warning call before pounding his chest some to try and intimidate whatever that was coming his way.
Finally, he noticed something white out of the corner of his eye after a moment's notice. It appeared to be one of those flying white birds of great proportions from the surface world. Assuming it meant no harm, Kong approached it curiously as he outstretched his hand towards it. This was no flying white bird titan though, although those things existed in the Hollow Earth, this wasn't the case here.
An Apex drone had been sent into the Hollow Earth by Walter Simmons to try and locate Kong, sending it into the portal at Antarctica. By pure luck alone, Kong's location within the Hollow Earth wasn't that far away from the Antarctic entrance.
Something extended from the bottom of the drone, which Kong noticed. He moved his head closer to examine it, but this is exactly what needed to happen. Kong's nostrils were blasted by an unbearable stench, one that made the mighty ape reel back and let out a surprised gag.
The foul odor was quick to travel up his nose and into his brain, as well as seep down into his throat where it burned like fire. Kong began to gasp for air and cough as he pawed at his neck with his eyes wide, squirming and tumbling on the ground, kicking up dirt in the process.
The burning within his throat caused the large ape to hyperventilate as he gasped rapidly for air and coughed numerous times, this effect would start to harm Kong as he tried to stand up after writhing around on the ground for a moment.
A faint feeling washed over him like a wave, a cold sensation began to rise from his feet and up to his legs. His hands and feet began to feel tingly as his throat felt swollen, his vision was flashy everywhere he looked. His hearing began to get blurry, smothered out even. In a human, this would be a panic attack, but the gas was causing Kong to undergo these effects.
The ape would let out a panicked roar before turning into a weak groan, he would fall over to his back with a loud thud, unconscious...
All of this was captured by a camera on the drone.
