(Chapter 13: Playing the same games)
(Location: Hollow Earth)
The HEAVs were following after Kong ever since he had climbed back up to his feet following his defeat to Mechani-Kong at the ruined Arctic base, they all had noticed the look in the mighty ape's eyes, it had changed. At first they were tired, defeated looking. Now they were filled with fire and determination, he was going to destroy this scrap metal doppelganger, he had already destroyed MechaGodzilla, he could certainly destroy another one.
Kong should be at even more of an advantage, MechaGodzilla had far more weaponry to him than this Mechani-Kong, but it would seem that Apex learned a thing or two after viewing footage of both MechaGodzilla battles, they wanted to improve where the other machines faltered.
The massive primate huffed and puffed furiously, constantly thinking about what went wrong in Antarctica. First he had been enslaved by those bastard Hollow Earth peoples and then he would get his ass handed to him by his own clone, had it not been covered in metal plating, he would have probably stood a chance.
However, as much as Kong wanted to destroy it, in the back of his mind, he didn't! This was the first time he had seen another one of his kind, granted, it was different. Not all of it was organic, not all of it was fur and flesh, but a grand majority of it was metallic in appearance. Kong thought of what was beneath, another member of his kind, potentially enslaved to do the dirty work of the terrible humans that wanted to take him out.
Kong wasn't aware of the Artificial Womb machine that Apex had built, but he knew something strange was afoot. It had been a century, no, more than a century since he last seen his parents or any of his kind. Defeating Mechani-Kong would be bittersweet.
The ape lunged from a massive rock and would grab hold of a gigantic creeper vine that hung down from the bottom of a massive rock formation, swinging up to a cliffside where the natural archway was located. The ape turned his head to view the large scepter that was lodged into the rock that was sitting outside of the waterfall.
The eyes of Kong narrowed upon his favored weapon, all of the eyes of the Monarch personnel that had came along to rescue Kong from the Hollow Earth people.
"There it is." Captain Gordon was heard speaking over the transceiver in one of the HEAVs, if one looked at his face, no one could tell that he was stunned at the site of the gigantic battle axe, but behind Gordon's steely gaze, was pure awe.
"The axe..." Dr. Andrews said, her voice filled with pure wonder and shock. She had already witnessed it being utilized in battle, but it was always a sight to behold no matter how many times she had already layed her eyes on the titan sized weapon.
The ape ripped his massive weapon of choice from the rock, the dorsal plate blade of the axe glowing with radiation as a loud hum came from it, sounding strikingly similar to Godzilla's dorsal plates charging up for the atomic breath.
Kong bared his large teeth before hoisting the axe into the air, letting out a defiant roar before pounding his chest. Letting out a war cry before heading off to battle, to take a stand against Mechani-Kong.
"It's time." Captain Gordon said as Kong looked up towards the HEAVs, his simian face stern as he nodded his head. It was as if he was telling his human allies: "Let's go."
With a loud huff, Kong began to bound across the Hollow Earth once more, trying to find a point where he could jump up and hover to the opposite down, where he would enter the portal and wind up back at the Arctic Facility.
"He's moving, punch it." Captain Gordon ordered, the HEAVs all began to follow Kong at full speed while the great ape made huge strides across the land.
(Location: Apex base, Seattle)
"What have you two been arguing about in here?" Alison Ford asked as she entered a conference room with a cup of coffee in her hand.
"Our prisoners, these are the same people that have brought us so much trouble in all of these years. I say we put them up for execution, dump them into the Hollow Earth, they can't survive the vortex... and even if they did, they would be dinner for any hungry beast that dwells within the planet." Floyd suggested, but Alan Jonah was ready to give him his two cents.
"No, we are making preparations at Hawaii. They could be fantastic prisoners at the new location, forced labor sounds an alright punishment. Like the slaves built the pyramids in Egypt, we can have our prisoners build our establishment." Alan Jonah replied, offering his decision on what they should do with Kenny, Sam and Madison.
"They'll break out and then we'll have to work our asses off in trying to capture them again." Floyd groaned with a roll of his eyes.
"Sanders, look at all we've accomplished. Our partner, Apex, has made leaps and bounds past Monarch. We have already planned ahead if Mechani-Kong fails-" Before Alan Jonah could continue, Floyd interrupted him.
"He won't fail, he got his ass kicked in Antarctica and was damn near killed. We had that son of a bitch where we wanted him and those Monarch scumbags got in the way. Which is why we need to execute as many of their personnel as possible, especially that pesky Skull Squadron of theirs that has been causing us issues." Floyd growled, growing irritated at how Alan Jonah simply didn't want to take out the rest of their enemies.
"We'll get to the Monarch personnel eventually, but do you remember what we done all of those years ago. When Mercutio activated that antenna back in Alaska, broadcasting an ORCA signal to space?" Jonah asked.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"From that signal, we got Bagorah, The Gryphon and even the first MechaGodzilla from the Black Hole Aliens. That thing is still active and there should be plenty mo-" Again Floyd would interrupt his superior.
"All three of those things failed, Bagorah failed, The Gryphon failed. MechaGodzilla also failed and if you look at every single outcome, you start seeing a pattern."
Alan Jonah sighed as Floyd continued to argue.
"What damn pattern are you talking about?" The former M16 agent asked.
"Godzilla needed help against Bagorah, he needed help from the humans against The Gryphon, he needed help against both MechaGodzillas. All of those battles, he needed help to win. If we take out those Monarch dogs, he won't have any help!" Floyd barked, his hands curling up into fists.
The room fell silent, he had a point. Most, if not all, of Godzilla's victories in battle had either came from help by humans or help by fellow allied titans. Alan Jonah and Alison Ford looked at each other, Floyd propped his feet on the table with his arms crossed.
"Finally getting your heads out of your asses?" Floyd asked.
"No need to be a smartass," Alan Jonah grumbled.
"You've got a point, Sanders. I'll have the chefs here prepare them a final meal before their fated departure towards the Hollow Earth." Alan Jonah replied, Floyd grinned maliciously.
"Finally, Monarch can take one of the biggest blows yet. At last, the Russells, Brody's and the Andersons, their bloodlines shall all be erased." Floyd snickered with nefarious intent.
(2 hours later)
Large hangar doors slowly opened up, revealing a massive Mechani-Kong standing there. His X-Accumulator was sparkling, it needed repairs.
"Mechani-Kong, shut down for maintenance," Walter Simmons spoke into a transceiver and the machine part of the cyborg would close down, rendering the clone Kong beneath the armor unconscious while standing up.
"We must move with haste! Kong is on death's door, we can finish him off!" Walter continued loudly, speaking to the technicians over the intercom.
The techs ran towards their stations to prepare to work on the X-Accumulator, to patch the scratches it had received from the barrage of the HEAVs, large iron claws lowered down, some of them armed with some sort of gun shaped device, others had vacuums of sorts to pick up any shards that were on the broken covering of the X-Accumulator which kept the large device inside of the armor.
"What will we do when it is ready for action?" Maia asked, approaching her father who was standing in the observation deck.
"We must keep the fight away from humanity at all costs, we could have a lot of blood on our hands if it reaches to any city." Walter replied as he overseen the repairs being made on Mechani-Kong.
"How are we going to do that?" His daughter asked, there was a pause following her question. He thought for a moment as he tried to come up with an idea of how to keep the fight away from civilization.
"We'll have Mechani-Kong out in the wilderness, there we will broadcast Kong's bio-acoustics and lure him to our creation. Then, we shall destroy that damn ape once and for all." Walter Simmons explained after thinking for a minute.
"Excellent, is Kong still in the Arctic?" Maia asked.
"He has to be, he looked so badly beaten that he couldn't even stand. Mechani-Kong was going for the fatal shot, the coup de grace, but was stopped by those pesky Monarch pricks."
Meanwhile, in the prison wing of the large Apex facility was Kenny, Sam and Madison all contained in a large cell. The bars that kept the prisoners from escaping appeared to be lasers, coming from a tiny slit in the ceiling down to another slit in the floor. These red lasers had enough heat to them to melt steel like a knife through butter.
"We've got to do something, we can't just sit in this dump all damn day." Sam sighed as he sat on a bench, resting his head into the palm of his hand while his other arm was curled around Madison's shoulders.
"Kenny, you've probably been in situations like these before. Do you know how to escape?" Madison asked, becoming desparate to figure out a way to get out of this place.
"I have been in some stressful situations before, but I've never been a fucking prisoner to our enemies." Kenny growled angrily, stomping his foot onto the cold flooring.
"If only those bars weren't made of lasers, we could probably do something to break them. However, it seems that we can't." Sam groaned.
Kenny slammed his fists into the wall out of anger, not striking the bars. Shaking his head in disbelief of who they all got captured by.
"Those bastards, those sons of bitches that brought us here are the same people that killed off Dr. Ling, Dr. Chen, Ford Brody and so many others that we knew and loved." Kenny growled to himself, not knowing that somebody down the hall had heard him...
"You three will be next to go, Anderson." The voice of Floyd Sanders said with malicious intent, Kenny immediately turned his head towards the bars to see him and Alan Jonah standing outside of their cell.
"If those bars weren't there, I would have torn your guts out and polished my boots with 'em!" Kenny barked, Floyd was not intimidated.
"You can say that all you want. You won't be able to do such things when you are dead and gone and out of our hair forever." Alan Jonah replied, his voice filled with pure hatred for his enemies.
"You killed my father, you son of a fucking bitch!" Sam Brody screamed, storming up from the bench and getting close to the bars, his face burning with rage.
"Don't touch the bars, Sam. You may end up joining him sooner than we intended." Floyd chuckled deviously.
"If I join him in death, we'll be in a better place than I am now. In this hellhole of a world and in this futuristic dystopian facility!" Sam snapped yet again.
"That's a good way of viewing it, all three of you worthless pissants have lost so much. You've lost fathers, mothers and close friends too. Join them all in death and peace from this cruel world shall be granted, we're only granting your wishes by executing you. I promise, it will be over quick, the pain won't last long." Floyd replied, his tone cold and devilish.
"The difference between us and you, Floyd. Is that after all the destruction and death you and your gang of cowards have caused, you will not be feeling and seeing such light when God strikes you down." Kenny warned, Floyd only reared his head back and laughed.
"I couldn't care less what fate awaits me when I fall from this world, as long as I take the rest of Monarch out and destroy all the titans, I can rest happily," Floyd replied, his smirk turning into that of a frown.
"The cooks are preparing you all a fancy final meal, the doctors are writing your death certificates as we speak. It is a shame that you three had no last wills or testaments to give, but it doesn't matter. You won't care about such things when you are rotting in the ground." He continued, closing out his heated discussion with the three prisoners contained within the cell.
(Meanwhile...)
(Location: Arctic Facility)
A large axe rose from the hole in the ground before slamming on the icy rocks with a massive boom! Seconds later, a massive ape would emerge from the Hollow Earth, HEAVs following behind him.
Kong emerged from the tunnel and out into the world once again, a uncomfortable blast of frigid air struck him, causing the massive primate to shiver. However, rage and determination brought warmth to the unforgiving cold temperatures of the Arctic.
The simian beast looked around at the endless white landscape around him, fields of frozen ground blanketed Antarctica, a few mountains were seen here and there. A sigh came from the beast, would he be able to make it before he froze to death?
"He won't survive the Arctic air..." Dr. Andrews said with worry in her voice.
"Let alone a swim across the ocean." Captain Gordon added on.
"A trip to the Hollow Earth would take too long, what the hell are we going to do now? Wait on Christmas?" Vergil Snow asked, irritated at the situation at hand.
"There is another way." Nathan Lind announced, all ears were listening to him now as the people within his HEAV all turned their heads to face him.
"That tunnel that the cyborg came from, it has to have another end to it." Nathan explained, Captain Gordon crossed his arms and sneered.
"Heh, no shit."
Nathan Lind swallowed before continuing.
"What if that tunnel leads to the Apex facility or wherever that thing came from? It beats flying again, it beats traveling through the Hollow Earth." He continued.
"Dude, you're a genius!" Carson Michaels exclaimed.
"We need Jia to explain this to Kong, I don't think he'll so easily trust us." Laura Belinsky suggested, everyone agreed to this.
One of the HEAVs fired at the ground to get Kong's attention, the ape turned towards the aircraft and bared his teeth with fury, but noticed that they were heading back into the cavern. Curious, the primate titan followed after them into the gigantic frigid cave.
Kong watched as one of the HEAVs came for a landing and his eyes would widen when he noticed Jia and Ilene Andrews emerging from it, he placed his axe down and got into a kneeling position to see what the child had to say to him, she waved her arms around to get his attention.
Jia would point to the large tunnel that was filled with bright lights, the Apex tunnel. Kong turned his head towards it and examined it from a distance. He looked back down at Jia with confusion displayed on his simian face.
You're enemy could be at the end Jia signed, Kong's look instantly switched from a puzzled look to that of rage as he roared towards the tunnel, his eyes wide with nothing but wrath. His mighty roar shaking the entire cavern.
The large ape pounded his chest twice before ripping his axe from the ground with one arm, charging towards the tunnel.
"Okay, he's moving fast. Hurry!" Nathan cried out, Dr. Andrews and Jia darted back inside their HEAV before all of them would rush into the tunnel with Kong.
The ape let out a sudden hoot of surprise, letting go of his axe as he felt himself suddenly being sucked into it and being pulled by an unseen force. The personnel within the HEAVs felt their backs get driven into their seats as they were already traveling at full speed to catch up with Kong, now the acceleration within the tunnel made them move even faster!
"Everybody slow down, slow down!" Captain Gordon screamed.
The HEAVs had gotten ahead of Kong due to the insane amounts of speed they had been given in only five short seconds, but when they slowed down to the slowest amount of MPH as possible, Kong would catch up with them.
The ape looked confused and even scared somewhat, but as he allowed his body to go with the flow, he noticed that this wasn't harming him in any way. A relaxed expression came to his face, but his eyes still glowed with that determination to put an end to Mechani-Kong. His large hand grabbed hold of his axe, gripping it tightly as they all traveled along within the tunnel, heading straight for the Apex facility at Seattle...
(Two hours later)
(Location: Apex base, Seattle)
"Sir, the repairs are complete. Mechani-Kong is ready once again." One of the head technicians spoke with Walter Simmons through a transceiver.
"Excellent." The CEO of Apex replied with a satisfied grin on his lips, he was ready for the final step in killing the mighty ape.
Within one of the many control rooms at this base, Maia Simmons noticed something strange on the monitors. It was a tracker going off for some unknown reason, she clicked on the screen to see that a few of their HEAVs were back online again with a large red dot following them on the radar, it had to be Kong.
When Maia examined the location, she was shaken to her core to see that they were only about one hundred miles away from Seattle and they were closing in fast...
"Father? FATHER!?" She screamed into the transceiver, Walter was alarmed at the fear contained in his daughter's voice and he quickly replied to her.
"Yes, what is it Maia?" He asked, concerned at whatever was going on at the moment.
"It's the HEAVs, the ones that hit Mechani-Kong. Kong's with them and...a-and!"
"Spit it out, what the hell is going on?!"
"They're not too far away from here, they're 67 miles away and closing in fast!"
"WHAT?!" Walter screamed at the top of his lungs, he checked the tracking system and it confirmed his daughter's words!
Down in the lower level of the facility was Kenny Anderson, Sam Brody and Madison Russell along with Alan Jonah, Floyd Sanders and Alison Ford. The Monarch personnel were in cuffs, guards had came along with the three allies of Apex to make sure they weren't attacked.
Floyd's heart raced within his chest, he had longed for this day to finally put an end to major figures of Monarch. Ending the Anderson bloodline, the Brody bloodline and Russell bloodline for good.
Madison had a few tears run down her face, she was scared and so were the other two that marched towards their deaths along with her. Sam Brody tried to let her know that everything was going to be okay, it was the only thing he could do.
To their distance was an elevator that would lower down into the lowest level of the facility, where the doors to a vile vortex would be waiting for them. They would be walking the plank, if the gravity inversion doesn't kill them, the creatures of the Hollow Earth will without a doubt.
"You're going to regret this, assholes..." Kenny growled in defiance of his oncoming demise, seeing the elevator getting closer and closer to them.
This is it, this is where it ends dad. I'm sorry that I couldn't get those bastards... Sam Brody thought to himself as a single tear rolled down his cheek.
Suddenly, the lights fell dim in the hall that they marched down and an alarm began to blare over the speakers. Everyone looked around frantically, curious, yet concerned of what was going on.
"Titan alert, code red. Titan alert, code red." A monotone female voice spoke over the intercom, broadcasting a warning to everyone within every wing of this facility.
"What the hell?" Alan Jonah grumbled, wondering what titan could be possibly trying to attack the facility. Only a subterranean titan could do such things unless one titan had a beam or a power that could punch through the ground, even then, Apex had built the technology to ward off every titan of every kind if they got too close, so what was the alarm going off for?
"No, this isn't fucking possible. What dumbass got lazy with the defenses?!" Floyd cried out furiously as he looked around, fear in his eyes mixed with anger.
Suddenly, Walter Simmons' voice came in through Alan Jonah's transceiver.
"Mr. Jonah, you and your crew need to head back up to sub-level 5 where I'm at. You need to get here immediately!" He was heard screaming on the other side.
"What is going on?" Alan Jonah asked, remaining calm and collected.
"I don't have any time to explain, you need to get your asses up here as fast as you can!" The CEO of Apex continued.
"What about our prisoners?!" Floyd screamed.
"Leave them to die, this facility isn't going to last any much longer anyway with what is going down!"
There was nothing else that needed to be said or asked, Alan Jonah, Floyd Sanders and Alison Ford all ran down the hallway, heading the opposite direction with the guards following after them. Kenny, Madison and Sam all stood there bewildered but still concerned.
"Well, we're free now. I guess!" Sam said loudly, trying to raise his voice over the blaring alarm.
"No, I've got a bad feeling about this..." Kenny said to himself, his face turning in the direction of the elevator.
"There, we all need to stand against that door and pray to God that we'll be okay!" He continued, nodding his head towards the large elevator door.
Back up at sublevel-5, Walter Simmons turned towards Maia Simmons with a look of regret in his eyes.
"My daughter, I'm afraid that we have no other option than to release Mechani-Kong upon the public, I've already contacted the techs. I've told them to open the football field for our creation to take flight." He said, the eyes of his daughter went wide.
"Our reputation, this could set us back several years. Back to the beginning!" She complained.
"The MechaGodzilla that attacked Earth the second time was hijacked from Monarch, the governments of the world are against that company. We shall be fine." Walter replied.
"What a-what are we going to do?!" Maia cried out.
"Pray for the lives of Seattle, Washington. I want you to leave and get as far away from here as you possibly can."
"No, I'm not leaving without you, dad!" Maia said with tears now starting to stream down her cheeks.
Suddenly, the large chamber of the artificial womb would burst open! A large fist was seen punching through the floor and emerging from it would be a gigantic axe...
"Kong's here!" Maia screamed, warning her dad of the looming danger that the ape posed. The mighty primate knew that this was the location of his enemy, he could feel it within his bones, he could sense it.
"God-dammit, Maia. RUN!" Walter screamed at the top of his lungs as the ape slowly pulled himself out from the level beneath the artificial womb, teeth bared, face filled with unbridled fury.
Maia screamed with terror before running down the hall as she noticed Kong taking his massive axe and slicing through the walls of the large chamber outside of the observation deck while roaring furiously!
Walter turned towards the window again to view what was happening to his creations, one of his many hundred bases around the world, being wrecked by none other than the titan they had been planning on taking out for good. He shook his head in disbelief as the HEAVs emerged from the large hole, hovering behind their ape ally.
"You Monarch dogs..." Walter growled hatefully, his hands tightening into fists, so clenched up and tense that they turned blood red and began to tremble violently.
"You're poking the hornets nest with this one, may God have mercy on whatever happens to the rest of your personnel..." He continued as Kong continued to destroy all of the artificial womb while roaring, trying to find that cyborg and destroy it.
"It's up to you now." Walter spoke into the transceiver which was connected to Mechani-Kong's computer, speaking right when the simian beast on the outside of the observation deck locked eyes with him...
Kong's eyes twitched with hate, his large canines bared with pure malice. His grip on the axe intensified as he pounded his chest twice, everyone within the HEAVs had their eyes set on the man standing in the observation deck.
"There's one of the targets, one out the six major targets." Captain Gordon said with a smirk, they finally had their enemies where they wanted them, if they were lucky, they could destroy all of them here.
"Walter Simmons." Laura Belinsky said, her voice was full of disdain for the CEO of one of Monarch's rival companies. A company that they had collaborated with in the past before they learned of their deeds and intentions.
Kong would have a telepathic vision, it was Walter standing with the cyborg that had almost killed him in Antarctica, something told the mighty ape that Walter was the creator of the machine in which was designed to kill him...
A rising fury boiled within the heart of the primate as he hoisted the axe up over his shoulders before hacking right down at Walter Simmons, the observation deck burst with a fireball shooting out of the window, smoke balling and curling up as it billowed forth from the flames.
Walter had been slain by Kong, but the ape wasn't finished as he took the axe and began to hack and slash away at the walls around him some more, revealing several hallways of other floors of the facility.
As Kong took the axe towards the ceiling, he noticed that there were floors above his head. It was like some gigantic termite mound or anthill. The ape bared his teeth as he started to climb upwards to try and get out of the facility, his eyes darting around as he attempted to hunt for Mechani-Kong.
Meanwhile, Alan Jonah and Floyd Sanders emerged from an elevator out into a ruined hallway in which they continued to rush down.
"Just received a message from Maia Simmons, Walter's dead. Kong's in the facility." Floyd explained as they ran with various Apex personnel surrounding them as they tried to escape the doomed base.
Suddenly, a massive piece of machinery fell from the floor above them and a large cloud of dust filled the room almost as much as the screams of fear and agony would reverberate down it as well.
"Alan, Alan?!" Floyd screamed as he slowly climbed back to his feet, the pain leaving his body in seconds after being thrown back by a shockwave.
The unmistakable tone of Alan Jonah's voice was heard, he was screaming in unspeakable pain. Floyd would immediately find Alan Jonah amongst the wreckage, what he would see shocked him. The piece of machinery that fell was twisted up and mangled, some points of it were sharp, it had almost crushed Jonah beneath it, but it still dealt catastrophic damage.
Alan Jonah's right arm had been severed at the elbow, his entire forearm had been sliced off. A bloody stump is all that remained as he howled in agony, clutching it with his left arm as he kicked his legs and his face was strained up from the pain he was going through.
"I've got you, we'll be okay!" Floyd screamed as he picked up his downed superior, carrying him on his shoulders as he continued to run down the hallway.
"Wh-what a-a-about Al-Alis-son...?" Alan Jonah groaned weakly as his vision faded, about to fall unconscious from the severe pain. This was the second most amount of suffering he had to go through in his life, the first being the loss of his family.
When Asher, Alan Jonah's son died in the events of the 2019 Mass Awakening, his heart and mind had gone numb from any emotional pain except when he really had time to dwell on his memories of the deceased loved ones. He was focused on his destruction driven by his anger and hate for what humanity was and had become, but this was physical pain he was going through, unlike any physical pain he has felt in his entire life.
On the surface of the ground, the football field of the Seahawks began to slowly open up at the fifty yard line. A large humming noise coming from the field as none other than Mechani-Kong would rise from the large tunnel. Rocket boosters propelling it upwards so it could escape from the doomed facility, the computer was now on auto-pilot due to Walter's final instructions, it's one and only task was to destroy Kong and eliminate his allies if it could find them or detect them.
Once it was completely out of the hole, it looked around to try and find a clear path to wilderness. It was pre-programmed to do such in order to avoid as less civilian casualties as possible when the inevitable battle comes.
However, it was too late to head over to the wilderness now, as Kong was about to bust out of the ground...
The towering cyborg hovered out of the stadium and would begin to march through Seattle, all eyes immediately turned towards the machine as panic quickly ensued. Cameras were pointed to the mechanical behemoth, the ground shook with each step, loud mechanical sounds were heard whirring and clicking as it marched through the city.
It seemed relatively peaceful at first, it wasn't attacking anything, besides stepping on some people and crushing cars beneath its giant simian feet, which weren't covered up by the metal plating. People screamed as they fled from the towering metal menace, some people watched from a distance as it marched down the street, flying over buildings that was in its way.
Sirens went off to alert the rest of the city of Seattle of the threat of which it posed, so far it didn't seemed aggressive, but cops and the national guard were quick to show up and aim their weaponry at the cyborg, holding their fire for now.
"What are those things?!" A man shouted from on the street, pointing up to the HEAVs which were now flying over the stadium. Not too long, none other than Kong would emerge from the hole in the field. A large axe rising from the hole, followed by the mighty primate mere seconds later.
Now Kong had no rocket boosters that would allow him to climb or fly over any buildings, he would have to deal damage to the structure as he scaled it. In one large bound, the hairy titan would leap over the stadium and land on the outside of it with a loud thud that rumbled the entire ground upon landing!
Kong's eyes narrowed as he stared into the distance to see Mechani-Kong hovering over a building as it started to fly, the enemy was within his sight...
The primate pounded his chest four times as he let out a challenging roar to his cyborg doppelganger before looking towards the ground to see the civilians of Seattle running in terror, his facial expression switched from one of rage to that of worry.
Like Mothra, Kong had a special bond with humans. Humans that treated him with respect and love like the Iwi, but these people seemed to be afraid of him. Deep down, the ape knew that they had never seen him outside of his island before and he felt sorry for what was about to unfold. Their city would be leveled, a conflict was inevitable...
As the titanic ape began to change his mind, he looked up to see that Mechani-Kong had changed direction and was now marching straight towards him...
There was no time for mercy now, no time for worries, no time for fear. It was time to fight, it was time to destroy this cyborg doppelganger!
